First off, we could check in at 2 PM, received a free room upgrade, and were allowed a late checkout until 2 PM – an amazing experience all around! Secondly, the hotel's beach offers great privacy; it's exclusively for guests, so you don't share it with outsiders, which feels very safe. You can leave your phone and room key anywhere without worry. Finally, I have to praise the small shop on the far right by the beach. The BBQ and beer are affordable, and it’s a VIP spot for watching fireworks! The hotel service is also excellent; they're very responsive to everything, and staff politely greet you wherever you go. I almost forgot to mention the small zoo – seeing all the white pigeons fly over for a peanut was quite a spectacle! Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the black swan I was hoping for this time. I’ll definitely be back to this hotel!

I originally booked a garden-view king room, but upon arrival, I was upgraded to a mountain-view hot spring king room. The room had a minimalist white style, very bright, and the facilities weren't old at all. Overall, it was quite clean and hygienic. Being on the first floor was very convenient for the kids to go swimming (the water park was just a few steps outside the door). The only slight inconvenience was getting to the lobby or the restaurant from this room, as this floor only serviced elevators 5 and 6, which made it a bit of a roundabout trip. There's a shallow swimming pool (around 1 meter deep) that's perfect for kids 👶🏻, along with two smaller splash areas with slides 🛝, and a deeper infinity pool. Plenty of clean towels and tea/water refills were available everywhere. The hotel also has a small indoor ball pit, a small outdoor sandy area, and an arcade (the hotel provided 60 complimentary tokens). They also gave us vouchers for a boat ride and bicycle rental. During the summer, you could even play games to accumulate points for small gifts. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet style at the Western restaurant. The variety was quite comprehensive, with sushi, sashimi, hot and cold dishes, and seafood – plenty to choose from. The beef slices and dendrobium soup were pretty good. For breakfast, there was congee, noodles, and rice. All the staff I encountered were very enthusiastic. My butler, Youpi, who helped me with check-in, was very attentive and patient, explaining everything in detail and handling issues promptly.

Pros: 1. Plenty of activities, so you'll never get bored. Of course, just relaxing and enjoying the sea breeze is also a great option. 2. The room faces the beautiful Twin Moon Bay, so it's worth setting an alarm to wake up early and step out onto the balcony to watch the sunrise. Cons: 1. The room design is really odd. There's no separation between the wet and dry areas. It's the first time I've seen the washbasin directly behind the bed, and shower water even reaches the foot of the bed. 2. The beach directly in front of the hotel has two downsides: first, the water contains a lot of black mud and sand, and second, the sand on the beach is so coarse it hurts your feet. Other: If you don't want to go out for breakfast, definitely book a room with breakfast included, otherwise, 108 RMB per person is really painful. Luckily, the butler was thoughtful enough to send over some fruit.

✅ **Highlights & Amenities:** The hotel boasts natural metasilicic acid radon hot springs, rich in minerals that leave your skin feeling incredibly smooth after a soak. The most impressive feature is that every room comes with its own private outdoor hot spring pool, offering excellent privacy so you can bathe whenever you like without crowds. The 81 themed pools at the hot spring center and the indoor/outdoor water park are definite bonuses. The transparent-bottomed infinity pool on the 10th floor is perfect for photos, and the stormy-themed hot spring and lazy river are ideal for families with young children looking to 'play and burn off energy.' As for dining, the Hakka cuisine at the Four Seasons Chinese Restaurant has a solid reputation, especially their fresh Hakka stuffed tofu, which is definitely worth trying. ⚠️ **Downsides & Tips:** Firstly, the buffet breakfast receives severely mixed reviews: while some guests reported it was quite varied, many others frankly stated it was so bad it was 'worse than a budget hotel' – with insufficient seating, relying entirely on pre-made items, and being extremely perfunctory. It's advisable to avoid it during peak holiday seasons. Secondly, the hot spring area and the main building are two separate structures. Although only about ten meters apart, you have to walk outdoors, directly exposed to cold winds, which can easily lead to catching a cold. Furthermore, during peak seasons like Chinese New Year, the front desk service quality declines. There have been instances of noise filtering in at night and multiple complaints to the front desk going unaddressed, indicating that understaffing severely impacts the guest experience. 🧾 **Summary:** If you're coming for the private in-room hot spring pools and the extensive water park, it can certainly provide a relaxing holiday experience. However, I recommend visiting on weekdays to avoid the buffet breakfast pitfalls during peak holiday periods; your overall experience will be significantly better.

2024/04/05-08 Park Plaza Hotel in Nankunshan in Guangdong The hotel's meals are truly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in China! They have put so much effort into my food, who cannot eat everything. The weekend there was really pleasant even though it was raining badly all the time. After I talked to the hotel and a manager for about 2 hours that evening when I arrived, to find out if they would be able to give me something to eat, because I'm allergic to several things, I really did not expect much. They said they would bring it to my room... What a pleasant surprise the next morning and the 2 other mornings !!! The most beautiful and most delicious food you can imagine!! Wow and they are far from cities, thus they prepared it with what they had!! 😊🌸🌻👍🏻 The staff were also so polite and friendly!! Unfortunately there was no map of the resort and also not clear signs. I couldn't understand the cryptic directions to the hotsprings the reception gave...😱 Thus I had to wait till the lights came on, then I could see where the lights at the pools were .. Perhaps they can put a ”roof” or cover over some pools, then it will be more enjoyable when raining... Because if the rain, the roof swimming pool was closed, but beautiful view from there. There are so many beautiful nature places nearby to explore and fir hiking, but unfortunately the weather was not good as the rain was pouring! Perhaps the hotel can buy the ugly murals or ruins or half-built buildings that damage and interrupt the beautiful views of trees... It is really a sore eye in the beautiful view... then they can renovate and finish the buildings... I really hope one day I can go again!! But everywhere I have been telling people of this great hotel and will keep on doing it!! 👍🏻🌻😊

The hotel is huge and gets very crowded, but we never had to wait for a table at breakfast. Sylvia was really enthusiastic and upgraded me to a Supreme Family Suite with a full sea view, which I think just meant a higher floor. There are quite a few things to do here; we couldn't even get through all the facilities in one day.

Taking advantage of the holiday, my friend and I chose Huizhou for a relaxing getaway. We picked a hotel with sea views, and our stay was fantastic! The room was spacious, and the facilities were complete. The balcony offered a wide, comfortable view. We added the hotel's concierge, Steward Xingxing, and she was incredibly prompt in resolving any issues, even proactively asking if we needed assistance. The service was truly attentive 👍. Also, we didn't get a chance to try the complimentary spring water experience this time due to timing, but the Yidishui Library was really beautiful. All in all, highly recommended!

I have been looking for a private hot spring resort for a long time. There are also functional hot springs in the public area, close to nature. Xiaojing housekeeper is also very enthusiastic. She responds quickly when there are things to communicate, and other staff members deliver things quickly. You can also play badminton and table tennis, which is worth coming many times. The key point is that the environment is good and there are not many people!

Overall, it was a decent stay and a pleasant experience. My family and I stayed in room 13009 from August 22nd to 24th. It seems our room was upgraded (the front desk staff didn't mention it). My family and I booked separately; they had booked a Deluxe Seaview Room, which was slightly more expensive than my Full Seaview King Room. Coincidentally, even though we checked in at different front desks, we were assigned rooms on the same floor, right next to each other, which was great :) Pros: 1. The guest room was on the 30th floor, offering an excellent and expansive sea view. The view was definitely a major highlight. It's a shame the weather was unstable and mostly cloudy during our stay; I'm sure the view would have been even more stunning on a clear day. 2. The room had high ceilings, giving it a spacious feel. Although the decor was simple, the floor-to-ceiling windows allowed for plenty of natural light, making the room bright and comfortable. The cleanliness was also satisfactory. Rooms facing the sea can be prone to humidity, but the air conditioning was sufficient, and a dehumidifier was provided (I recommend keeping it on for extended periods) to effectively maintain dryness and prevent any stuffy, damp feeling. The in-room amenities were also very thoughtful, including charging cables, essential oil patches/eye masks, anti-noise earplugs, and a coffee machine with Starbucks coffee capsules, which tasted very good. 3. The hotel's recreational facilities were abundant and clean. The design of the pool connecting to the beach was excellent, making it very suitable for families with children for a short vacation. You wouldn't get bored even with a three-day, two-night stay. 4. The hotel's exterior design was aesthetically pleasing, and the lobby had very high ceilings, creating an open and spacious atmosphere. 5. The hotel offered a ”little butler” WeChat service, with prompt responses and immediate assistance from staff. In the mornings, they would even proactively ask if we needed any items replenished, which was commendable. 6. There were many restaurant choices and convenience stores near the hotel, all within walking distance. Cons: 1. The hotel is a bit old, but still within an acceptable range. However, maintenance is clearly lacking, especially the outdoor balcony of the room, which was quite dilapidated and not thoroughly cleaned. This made us completely unwilling to spend time there, wasting the beautiful sea view and significantly diminishing the overall experience. 2. The prices at the hotel restaurants and vending machines were on the high side. 3. The staff's service level was mediocre; not terrible, but certainly not enthusiastic either. The service was just basic. Especially during check-in at the front desk, it felt like dealing with a government office, lacking a friendly touch. 4. It would be better if the TV channels included Hong Kong channels. 5. The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak; both the toilet space and the toilet itself were a bit small, uncomfortable for adults. Minor incident: Upon entering the room, we found that the TV remote control was not working. We requested assistance through the 'little butler' and also asked for an extra pair of slippers and toothbrushes. Soon after, a female staff member in a white uniform delivered the items, but only brought a pair of reusable plastic slippers. We explained that we wanted disposable slippers, and she repeatedly emphasized that we hadn't specified, stating that typically when we just say ”slippers,” they understand it as plastic slippers... She wasn't impolite, but her incessant way of speaking was a bit uncomfortable. We had no intention of arguing and simply replied, ”Understood, thank you,” to send her off. Later, another staff member in a different uniform (I've forgotten the color) came to fix the TV issue. Her service attitude was remarkably different. She was smiling and polite, and noticing that our Mandarin wasn't fluent, she proactively switched to Cantonese to communicate with us and warmly asked if we needed anything else. The next day, when we encountered the shower water pressure problem, she was the one who came to follow up, and her attitude remained sincere and dedicated. We met her again during check-out, and she chatted with us kindly for a while, which was very heartwarming. Although we don't know her name, we genuinely want to commend her service – she was the most polite and enthusiastic staff member we encountered at this hotel, and her attitude truly made us feel at home.

Country Garden Silver Beach Hotel

Here is a balanced review based on your experience, written in both English and Mandarin. --- English Review Title: Great value for space and location, but sadly aging and under-serviced My family spent two nights at the Country Garden Silver Beach Phoenix Hotel in Huidong. For the room size and the location right by the sea, it was genuinely a great deal. You can really see the potential here – but like many other reviews mention, the property is clearly aging. Where it falls short is the service, which feels lacking. The breakfast, in particular, was expensive for what was offered, especially for foreign travellers. The selection was limited, and the only thing we truly enjoyed were the noodles. The beach itself could be beautiful, but it desperately needs cleaning. It’s also heartbreaking to see so many surrounding businesses shut down – the area felt desolate and sad. On a positive note, Lima House on the ground floor was absolutely amazing. Great food and great entertainment – a real highlight of our stay.
