Guest UserJust a 1.5-hour drive from Guangzhou, this hotel boasts a great environment and excellent hygiene. Its location right within Nankun Mountain makes it perfect for family trips with kids or elderly relatives.
The hot springs are available both indoors and outdoors, so you don't have to worry about rain. There's also an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool, both of which are very clean – highly recommend!
A special shout-out to our butler, Youpi, who thoroughly explained all the hotel's activities and was incredibly responsive whenever we called. The food at the hotel is also fantastic; I'd recommend having all your dinners here instead of going out. The service and cleanliness are top-notch too!

Guest UserCleanliness: The room was quite clean. The king-size bed room could fit a family of four, haha, very good.
Facilities: There's a water park, an infinity pool, a kids' pool, and a lazy river.
Service: I originally booked a room with a bathtub, but then I saw a room with a lazy river and went to the front desk to ask if I could switch. Luckily, one was available, and they let me switch. The experience was really great, and the service was excellent. The kids had a fantastic time, and we adults also had a lot of fun. We even tried parasailing by the sea!

0baohetang0✅ **Highlights & Amenities:**
The hotel boasts natural metasilicic acid radon hot springs, rich in minerals that leave your skin feeling incredibly smooth after a soak. The most impressive feature is that every room comes with its own private outdoor hot spring pool, offering excellent privacy so you can bathe whenever you like without crowds. The 81 themed pools at the hot spring center and the indoor/outdoor water park are definite bonuses. The transparent-bottomed infinity pool on the 10th floor is perfect for photos, and the stormy-themed hot spring and lazy river are ideal for families with young children looking to 'play and burn off energy.' As for dining, the Hakka cuisine at the Four Seasons Chinese Restaurant has a solid reputation, especially their fresh Hakka stuffed tofu, which is definitely worth trying.
⚠️ **Downsides & Tips:**
Firstly, the buffet breakfast receives severely mixed reviews: while some guests reported it was quite varied, many others frankly stated it was so bad it was 'worse than a budget hotel' – with insufficient seating, relying entirely on pre-made items, and being extremely perfunctory. It's advisable to avoid it during peak holiday seasons. Secondly, the hot spring area and the main building are two separate structures. Although only about ten meters apart, you have to walk outdoors, directly exposed to cold winds, which can easily lead to catching a cold. Furthermore, during peak seasons like Chinese New Year, the front desk service quality declines. There have been instances of noise filtering in at night and multiple complaints to the front desk going unaddressed, indicating that understaffing severely impacts the guest experience.
🧾 **Summary:** If you're coming for the private in-room hot spring pools and the extensive water park, it can certainly provide a relaxing holiday experience. However, I recommend visiting on weekdays to avoid the buffet breakfast pitfalls during peak holiday periods; your overall experience will be significantly better.

JameswhoPros:
1. Plenty of activities, so you'll never get bored. Of course, just relaxing and enjoying the sea breeze is also a great option.
2. The room faces the beautiful Twin Moon Bay, so it's worth setting an alarm to wake up early and step out onto the balcony to watch the sunrise.
Cons:
1. The room design is really odd. There's no separation between the wet and dry areas. It's the first time I've seen the washbasin directly behind the bed, and shower water even reaches the foot of the bed.
2. The beach directly in front of the hotel has two downsides: first, the water contains a lot of black mud and sand, and second, the sand on the beach is so coarse it hurts your feet.
Other:
If you don't want to go out for breakfast, definitely book a room with breakfast included, otherwise, 108 RMB per person is really painful. Luckily, the butler was thoughtful enough to send over some fruit.

Park Plaza Hotel in Nankunshan in Guangdong
The hotel's meals are truly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in China! They have put so much effort into my food, who cannot eat everything. The weekend there was really pleasant even though it was raining badly all the time.
After I talked to the hotel and a manager for about 2 hours that evening when I arrived, to find out if they would be able to give me something to eat, because I'm allergic to several things, I really did not expect much. They said they would bring it to my room... What a pleasant surprise the next morning and the 2 other mornings !!!
The most beautiful and most delicious food you can imagine!! Wow and they are far from cities, thus they prepared it with what they had!! 😊🌸🌻👍🏻
The staff were also so polite and friendly!!
Unfortunately there was no map of the resort and also not clear signs. I couldn't understand the cryptic directions to the hotsprings the reception gave...😱 Thus I had to wait till the lights came on, then I could see where the lights at the pools were ..
Perhaps they can put a ”roof” or cover over some pools, then it will be more enjoyable when raining...
Because if the rain, the roof swimming pool was closed, but beautiful view from there.
There are so many beautiful nature places nearby to explore and fir hiking, but unfortunately the weather was not good as the rain was pouring!
Perhaps the hotel can buy the ugly murals or ruins or half-built buildings that damage and interrupt the beautiful views of trees... It is really a sore eye in the beautiful view... then they can renovate and finish the buildings...
I really hope one day I can go again!!
But everywhere I have been telling people of this great hotel and will keep on doing it!! 👍🏻🌻😊

echotravelDuring peak season, it was too crowded, and the service was a bit lacking. Our room balcony smelled like urine, but the cleaning staff was so busy that no one came for over 20 minutes. I also saw some feces on the carpet in the public area on the first floor that hadn't been cleaned up promptly. With so many people, anything can happen...
The main restaurant was full, so we had to go to the temporary buffet on the second floor. Waiting for the elevator also took a long time. The soundproofing in the room was very poor; we could hear fireworks on the beach until past midnight and even the noise of motorcycles revving their engines. The family room only had one bathroom, which was quite inconvenient. Overall, I felt the hotel's facilities and service were inadequate.
The only good thing was the beach; it was relatively flat and convenient for swimming. In the afternoon, it was shaded by the buildings, but in the morning, it was very sunny.

Taking advantage of the holiday, my friend and I chose Huizhou for a relaxing getaway. We picked a hotel with sea views, and our stay was fantastic! The room was spacious, and the facilities were complete. The balcony offered a wide, comfortable view. We added the hotel's concierge, Steward Xingxing, and she was incredibly prompt in resolving any issues, even proactively asking if we needed assistance. The service was truly attentive 👍. Also, we didn't get a chance to try the complimentary spring water experience this time due to timing, but the Yidishui Library was really beautiful. All in all, highly recommended!

特莱沃勒儿·港Very good value private little villa with its own hot spring and a nice garden. We chose the 89 square meter one (茶道 · Tea ) and it turned out to be a great choice —- having breakfast delivered every morning to the garden and dining there was a highlight of the stay.
Although the Intercontinental next door has shut down, we still walked around the lanes in the broader resort, and the trees, birds, flowers and architecture scene was all pleasant.
I personally enjoyed jogging around the golf courts a lot. Amazing air quality and scenic view.
Food wise — The restaurant at the hotel is simple but has a solidly comprehensive menu. Our concierge (管家 小丘) helped us order a Hakka kiln chicken delivered to the resto which I think is a must try. Enjoyed the Tofu dishes —- also a Hakka cuisine specially.
The afternoon tea and desert soup everyday inclusive in the package nicely complements the primary activity — bathing in the private hot spring there.
Overall I enjoyed the stay and would like to visit again at some point !
With high speed railway from Hong Kong, it’s so convenient to get here for the good value in hui Zhou.

Guest UserThe hotel room was beautiful and clean. We were especially lucky to have such wonderful housekeepers, Lily and Xiao Liu, and staff member Xiao Yu. During our 3-day, 2-night stay, we encountered a typhoon and needed an emergency room change. The staff and housekeepers prioritized our safety and immediately arranged and assisted us with moving rooms. After we changed rooms, we couldn't leave the next day due to the weather and needed to extend our stay for another night. Housekeeper Xiao Liu even thoughtfully arranged dinner and lunch for us. The hotel management is excellent, with a beautiful environment and friendly staff. 👍👍👍 We will definitely be back! ☺️

English Review
Title: Great value for space and location, but sadly aging and under-serviced
My family spent two nights at the Country Garden Silver Beach Phoenix Hotel in Huidong. For the room size and the location right by the sea, it was genuinely a great deal. You can really see the potential here – but like many other reviews mention, the property is clearly aging.
Where it falls short is the service, which feels lacking. The breakfast, in particular, was expensive for what was offered, especially for foreign travellers. The selection was limited, and the only thing we truly enjoyed were the noodles. The beach itself could be beautiful, but it desperately needs cleaning. It’s also heartbreaking to see so many surrounding businesses shut down – the area felt desolate and sad.
On a positive note, Lima House on the ground floor was absolutely amazing. Great food and great entertainment – a real highlight of our stay.
