Roppokan ★★★
"The service is very attentive, the environment and facilities are better than expected, and the city is comfortable."
Akizuki Spa Ryokan Seiryuan ★★★★
"The room was spacious, and the private bath was excellent. Perhaps due to the high humidity from the long-term use of the private bath, the room had a musty smell, but that's unavoidable. The surrounding area was nice and quiet. Located in the small town of Akizuki, there are many unique local attractions nearby. The hostess spoke some Chinese and was very helpful. Since the hotel isn't accessible by public transportation, we took a taxi from Nishitetsu to Amagi Station, which took about 20 minutes. The hotel also booked a taxi for our return trip the next day. The accommodation and two meals were very generous. My husband's birthday was the day before, and the hotel even made a special effort to celebrate it with a cake, which was very thoughtful."
Taisenkaku ★★★
"The food was delicious both at night and in the morning. I'm not so sure about the jungle bath, though. Nevertheless, I would like to come again. Thank you."
Hotel Parens Onoya ★★★
"Good fun"
Koarashiyama Akizuki ★★★
"Originally, I just wanted to find a place to stay near Fukuoka Airport, but all the hotels in the city were fully booked. Unexpectedly, I managed to book a guesthouse about 45 minutes from the airport. After checking in, I discovered it was a newly opened hot spring inn, and we were among the first guests! It was a complete surprise. The room was brand new, clean, and spacious. The separate wet and dry area in the bathroom was a huge plus, and each room had its own private bathtub – truly luxurious. The central garden was designed by the owner himself, and the plants are regularly changed, so it felt like there was a different view every time I visited. The owner was very friendly; you can contact him directly via the app if needed. Parking was also very convenient, making it super friendly for travelers with cars. If you're planning a road trip in Fukuoka, I highly recommend adding this guesthouse to your list of options."
Harazuru No Mai ★★★
"Very cozy hotel, clean room, polite staff. Delicious dinners and breakfasts."
Hotel Grandspa Avenue ★★
"The hot springs were wonderful."
Imurakebettei Tsukinohanare ★★★
"Nearby is the Akizuki Castle, a place for cherry blossom viewing. It is within a ten-minute walk. The crowds are not as crowded as those recommended by Internet celebrities. It is less crowded but still beautiful."
View Hotel Heisei ★★★
"The location is on the mountain, quite remote, but close to Daguanyin. But the view is nice. If you choose a private hot spring room. The landscaping is very nice. However, all options include two meals. Somewhat restricted. It would be nice if there was an option to stay overnight. The outdoor and indoor public hot springs are completely separate. For outdoor use, you need to go out of the hotel and use it nearby. But the view is great, and some of the shower areas are open-air. When it's cold, it's uncomfortable. But there are also indoor showers, but cold wind will blow in. This is not ideal. Wish there would be an option for accommodation only, without breakfast or night. Will stay again if I have the chance."
