This trip to Bangkok, I stayed at the Ascott Thonglor Bangkok, and the overall experience was even better than expected. It was one of the hotels I was very satisfied with on this trip. The hotel is located in the very vibrant Thonglor area of Bangkok, very close to the BTS Thong Lo station, making it incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, or getting around. There are also many restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores nearby, so if you're looking for a late-night snack or a drink, you don't have to go far. Upon entering the hotel, you immediately notice how new and stylish the environment is. The lobby is spacious and comfortable, and the staff are all very friendly. What I was most satisfied with this time was the room. The space is much more generous than typical city hotels in Bangkok, and the cleanliness is exceptionally well-maintained. The bed was very comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, so after a full day of walking around, I could truly get a good rest back at the hotel. I also highly recommend their infinity pool 🏊. It has a different feel during the day and at night, offering direct views of the Bangkok cityscape. On a nice day, it's perfect for relaxing and taking photos. Overall, I give high marks for its location, room, environment, service, and transportation convenience. If you're coming to Bangkok and don't want to stay in an overly touristy area, but still want good food, nightlife, and convenient transportation, Thonglor itself is an excellent choice. And Ascott Thonglor Bangkok will be one of the hotels I'd be willing to stay at again on my next visit to Bangkok. 👍

Here are two things I'd like to commend: First, the hotel's swimming pool is fantastic. There's a 0.6-meter deep area that's perfect for babies and toddlers to play in. It would be even better if they provided some swimming rings or children's water toys. Second, the room comes with a washing machine, cutlery, and a microwave, which is very convenient. Regarding check-in details: I had booked a room with an extra temporary bed, but the front desk initially wasn't aware of it. It took a while to explain it to them, and I even contacted Trip.com. Trip.com's customer service was very responsive, and I'd like to commend them. The hotel staff also promptly delivered an extra bed. Location: The hotel's location isn't far from Siam Center, about a 10-minute walk. You can also take the BTS Skytrain, which is just two stops away. It's also fairly convenient to get to the night market at night, taking about 15 minutes by taxi. A note of caution: I accidentally switched on the 'Do Not Disturb' light behind the door and didn't realize it, so my room wasn't cleaned that day. This is something to be mindful of. Other aspects: Overall, the hotel's cleanliness, room service, and facilities all deserve a five-star rating.

Since I was only staying for three nights, which really meant two full days, I was prepared for a small room and didn't mind, as my schedule was packed and I'd only be sleeping there. Upon arrival, the room wasn't actually that small; it was pretty standard for a budget hotel, though the bathroom shower stall was indeed quite tiny. The hotel staff were all very welcoming and polite, greeting me every time I came and went. In particular, the slightly plump (no offense intended) front desk lady who checked me in was all smiles and enthusiastically explained the facilities and the free shuttle boat. The slim, kind, and friendly night-shift security guard, an older gentleman, was quick to help with my luggage, leaving a fantastic impression. If there was one tiny flaw, it was on my last morning when I checked out at 7 AM. There was only one delicate, Lin Daiyu-like front desk lady whose voice was so faint I had to lean in to hear her. Her movements were incredibly elegant (read: slow), and there were no other staff around. This single 'Lin Daiyu' slowly went up to the room herself to check it for a long time, then printed a slip for me to sign before finally processing my deposit refund at a snail's pace. She had no expression the entire time, just a cold face. Later, I saw her maintain the same sullen expression when checking out a white mother and daughter pair; perhaps that's just her natural demeanor. In Thailand, you do have to lower your expectations for efficiency a bit. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay. For this price, they even included a one-hour sightseeing boat trip on the Chao Phraya River. What more could you ask for? 😂
