Amazing
Pp.oh95Don't believe the photos they have of their rooms... because the room IS SO MUCH BETTER than how they look like in the photos! 😍 Believe me when I say I was surprised when I first entered the room. My room was a lot more spacious than I had imagined and it had a very contemporary feel. Despite being industrial in design, it had a cute color scheme which was charming to my taste. It was also a very clean place to stay in, especially given that they clean your room only once every two days, not everyday. This is mostly the reason why I rated service 4/5, just being nitpicky since a daily clean up would have been preferred. I am pretty sensitive to dust and have bad allergies so I could tell if it's a dusty room or a/c unit, but I must say my allergies were not that bad during my stay and I didn't get itchy on the bed. Really, a clean room, a clean hotel, and a very calm and quiet environment? There's nothing more I could ask for. Also, they offer to lift your luggage for you upon check-in (they have only stairs, so good luck if you brought a large one). I arrived before check-in so I left my bags first, but when I returned, I was pleasantly surprised that they had already lifted it up to my room. The staff are really really friendly and patient so there's always a nice vibe each time you pass by the entrance. The location, I must say, is the HIGHLIGHT of this hotel. Siam is around a 10 minute walk so you don't have to take the train to get to the city center. Ratchathewi is a closer BTS station if you just need to hop on/off a train faster and if you're taking the airport link train at Phaya Thai. It's in the center of where everything happens and highly accessible so the location is simply the best. It's also not as expensive an area compared to hotels found nearer to Siam area, so you're getting really good deals in Ratchathewi, including Palette. Silom and Asok are a ~15 minute ride using motortaxi so the party places are within a close radius. Accessing the hotel during closing hours is not difficult either, but if you're drunk, you might want to be careful closing the outer door connected to the steel roll-up gate since it might be too noisy. As for amenities, well, there's nothing much you can expect given that it's a simple hostel. There is a small communal area on each floor where you can hang out in if you feel like your room is stuffy. But this is also where they get minus points to get a 4/5 from me in amenities. You're only given one key card that will power up the room. While this is no problem for me, the problem is that the room gets pretty hot when unattended and the power up of my room a/c is slow, so it takes time for the room temperature to get comfortable. I would rather stay in the room instead of the communal area if I know my room will be hot once I return. Bangkok is a hot city, and walking outside for most of the day can really tire one out, so it might be uncomfortable to stay in your room and wait 10-15 minutes for the room temperature to cool down. But that's basically it. I don't really need anything else when it comes to the amenities of a hostel. Since this is a café, you can easily buy your first dose of coffee (pretty good, if I may add) here to start your day. It's comfortable to sleep in, perfect location, perfect cleanliness, and amazing staff service. That's all that matters. Thank you so much for a very comfortable 4 night stay! I will definitely book here next time given the chance. 🙏🏻

Great
GGuest UserI had a genuinely pleasant stay at Monomer Hostel and would highly recommend it, particularly for solo travelers and female guests who prioritize cleanliness, comfort, and safety. First of all, the front desk staff member was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. He was not only professional but also very approachable, which immediately created a warm and positive first impression. Small interactions like this can truly enhance the overall experience of staying in a hostel. The location is another major advantage. There is a convenience store nearby, which makes it easy to grab snacks or daily necessities at any time. In addition, there are many massage parlours in the surrounding area, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring the city. The hostel is also within easy walking distance of the train station, making transportation extremely convenient for travelers who wish to explore Bangkok. One aspect that impressed me the most was the cleanliness of the hostel. The entire environment is exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and very cozy. The atmosphere feels calm and comfortable, making it a great place to unwind after a busy day. There is also a common area available for guests to relax, work, or simply spend some quiet time. Interestingly, most guests tend to mind their own business, which creates a peaceful environment. If you are someone who enjoys working, reading, or simply having personal space, this place is ideal. However, if you are hoping to meet new people and socialize, you may need to take the initiative and start the conversation yourself. Another small highlight is the excellent coffee shop located nearby. The coffee there is surprisingly good and is definitely worth trying if you enjoy starting your day with a quality cup of coffee. Finally, I would like to emphasize the sense of safety at this hostel. As a female traveler, I felt extremely secure during my stay. The environment feels well-managed, respectful, and comfortable for women traveling alone. In terms of safety for female guests, I would confidently rate this place number one. Overall, Monomer Hostel offers a wonderful balance of cleanliness, convenience, comfort, and safety. It is an excellent choice for travelers who appreciate a peaceful environment while staying in a well-located and thoughtfully maintained hostel.

GGuest UserThis is a youth hostel, and we were traveling with our parents. Although there wasn't a kettle in the room, there's one on the first floor where you can get hot water for free. There's also a security gate on each floor, which makes it very safe – people who aren't staying here can't go up. There's no elevator, but the staff were really enthusiastic and helped us carry our luggage upstairs, which we really appreciated! The family room had an inner window, so ventilation wasn't great, but it was nice and quiet. The overall decor is very new and the style is simple. The common areas are quite well-equipped, with a kitchen, laundry room, dining area, tea tables and chairs, and computers. The front desk offers 24-hour service. There's a 400 deposit, which the staff returns after checking the room at checkout.

GGuest UserThis is the most complete hostel I've ever been to. There are six floors with several balconies and all of it remains spotless. The common areas are awesome. The river view is amazing I look forward to seeing the fireworks on the river every time. The staff are friendly and accomodating and there are more than enough bathrooms and showers for everybody here. I don't have anything to complain about, I like it a lot here

GGuest UserExcellent location, lovely ”village” are near kohsan road, which is just 3 minute walk away but far enough away that you dont hear it and not in the main drag of it. Lovely pools, staff were amazing and when we had to lengthen our stay due to flight issues they were more than accommodating by keeping us in the same room so we didn't have to move all our stuff around. My only quam is no kettle in the room and TV very dated with only English news channels. But overall we would stay there again.

CchenhuachenSukum Huai Khwang Guesthouse offers a sense of stability that many travelers appreciate, especially in a fast-paced city like Bangkok. The guesthouse creates an environment where guests can maintain daily routines with ease, whether that involves work, exercise, or simple relaxation. This feeling of normalcy contributes to a more enjoyable and less stressful stay. One notable advantage is the guesthouse’s adaptability to different travel styles. It suits independent travelers who prefer exploring on their own, as well as visitors who enjoy spending time in the local area. The surrounding streets provide opportunities for casual walks, local dining, and everyday shopping, allowing guests to experience Bangkok at a slower and more personal pace. The guesthouse also appeals to guests who value privacy. The atmosphere remains calm and orderly, encouraging restful nights and uninterrupted downtime. At the same time, staff remain approachable and responsive, offering help whenever needed without being intrusive. This balance creates a comfortable and respectful living environment. In terms of location, Sukum Huai Khwang Guesthouse continues to be a strong choice. The nearby MRT station connects guests efficiently to major districts, cultural sites, and business centers. This convenience allows visitors to maximize their time in the city without long or tiring commutes. In conclusion, Sukum Huai Khwang Guesthouse consistently meets the expectations of travelers seeking affordability, comfort, and a local atmosphere. It may not offer luxury facilities or elaborate services, but it excels in providing a dependable and welcoming place to stay.
