Hotels in Chinatown, Bangkok

We stayed for 6 nights as a couple. Unfortunately, since we purchased the stay through a tour company, we were unable to cancel our reservation while at the hotel. I will write in detail because I am genuinely disappointed. The hotel is not in good condition and is not worth the price. The hotel staff were truly attentive and friendly. However, contrary to the photos, the pool is much smaller and not practically usable due to its location. It is in a closed area and never receives natural daylight. Because of the humidity and heat, there were many mosquitoes around the pool area. It would actually make more sense to close the pool and convert the space into a café area for guests, since clearly no one is swimming there. The à la carte restaurant is also located in the same area as the pool, and dining in a humid, mosquito-filled environment was not pleasant at all. The menu was very limited. Except for the reception area and the guest rooms, the air conditioning was not working anywhere in the hotel. As a result, the corridors and elevator were extremely hot and there were mosquitoes there as well. Fun fact: when you step outside onto the street, there are fewer mosquitoes than inside the hotel. I had read about noise issues with the air conditioning in the rooms, but I never expected it to be this bad. It sounded like an airplane engine running constantly next to you. We could not sleep on the first night. On the second day, we bought earplugs and were only able to sleep with them. I reviewed previous comments and saw that you have been receiving the same complaints for over a year. Not taking action and failing to resolve this issue is unacceptable. Cleanliness was not terrible, but there was significant dirt along the sides of the beds and behind the furniture. There is construction everywhere around the hotel. This is not the hotel’s fault, but it appears that the construction work will continue for a long time. The biggest advantage of the hotel is its location, as it is within close distance of major attractions. However, it definitely does not meet the standards of a 4-star hotel. Very quiet and great location on the back street of Chinatown. I was able to spend a lot of time with five families. The room we stayed in was on the third floor. Because there are only stairs, women with a lot of luggage may be a little difficult. It's a little disappointing that the hot water in the shower was almost water. Well, Bangkok is hot, so that's okay ^_^ The rest is perfect!! I will definitely stay again. Thank you very much.

This is a very good hotel. It's clean, the bathrooms are clean and comfortable, with separate male and female restrooms. The staff are very helpful and provide excellent service. The service is great, very attentive to guests, and the hotel staff are very kind, allowing us to use the air conditioning as needed. It would be even better if the staff could adjust the air conditioning temperature and place the remote downstairs. I will definitely stay here again. It's very clean. The bed is wide, there are power outlets and lamps provided. It's close to Yaowarat (Chinatown), just a short walk away. This place is near the community and many tourist attractions.

Sampheng Apartment was a perfect stop for our time in Bangkok. Our room was clean, of a good size (room is larger than what it appears to be in photos) with a comfortable bed. New waters, coffee, toilet roll, bin bag and soaps were provided daily which was a nice touch. Staff at reception were always welcoming and helpful, I needed something printing which the staff member at the time did straight away at no cost. The room was quiet on the fifth floor and overlooked the nearby temple. As for location we felt that this place was great to get to places such as Chinatown, grand palace, wat Arun and isn't too far away from a ferry terminal either. The apartment is in an alleyway off a main road so getting a grab was a little inconvenient in terms of providing an alternative location but didn't need to travel far, this would be the only thing as far as feedback goes. We would recommend this to friends and family, especially if this is your first time in Bangkok.

The hotel is in a very good location. It has a very peaceful atmosphere. It's extremely clean. There's no breakfast, but it's very close to all the places where you can have a very nice breakfast.

Talking about the location, it is very good, right in front of MRT Sam Yot. But the condition of the room we got was not the same as the room in the advertisement picture. When we arrived, we got the room as shown in the picture. When we opened the door, we saw a pillar in the middle of the room. We were a bit shocked. The room was narrow and much older than the room in the picture that we booked. What we clearly saw was that the floor of the room was very different from the picture. We asked to change to a room that was the same as the picture, but the hotel informed us that the room that was the same as the picture was full, so we got this room instead. They did not inform us in advance. So we contacted Trip.com, so the hotel changed to a new room, which was a new room. But the condition of the new room we received did not seem to be as advertised. I think all the pictures that the hotel took of the room's floor might have been edited because the floor along the way and both rooms that we saw were in the same condition. In conclusion, the location is good, but the condition of the room depends on the individual's acceptance. Consider this information to help you decide.

Originally booked is the 18-19 room, my sand sculpture actually missed the flight, the front desk lady is still helping me to change to 19-20😄

We booked the room very late and still managed to get perfect service; the hostel is also very quiet even though the streets outside can get noisy.
