Hotels in Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing Area, Beijing

We checked in on Sunday morning and were warmly welcomed by a helpful receptionist who assisted with luggage storage. Hotel room is clean, spacious, and well-furnished. The hotel location is great, between Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing. However, scaffolding was set up around the building due to repair works. Despite this, the staff handled things well—helping us change rooms, fixing minor issues, and even returning items we left behind. A staff member named Baozi stood out for his professionalism and helpfulness, especially when assisting us with Didi transport for our group and luggage. Breakfast was average but convenient, starting at 6:30 a.m., though we missed it one day due to an early trip to the Badaling Great Wall.

The location is great, inside the Second Ring Road, making it very convenient to get to the Forbidden City, the National Museum, Wusi Street, and Prince Gong's Mansion. However, the room is definitely not 16 square meters. There's only space for a 1.5-meter bed and one bedside table. Online it was listed as 16-18 square meters, but it's really pitifully small. The service on the first morning I arrived was just okay. Luckily, the autumn view outside the window was nice, and since I was only coming back to sleep at night, I was too lazy to switch hotels. The hygiene was also quite poor; just see for yourselves.

Its totally walking distance from everywhere in Wanfujing including the metro station is within reach. I appreciate the daily cleaning of our room and the abundant water supply they gave us during our entire stay. Everyone is friendly and helpful. They tried to communicate with us properly and address our needs. Thank you so much! If id be back in Beijing, I will still choose this Hotel. And definitely recommend this to my family and friends.

I booked the Deluxe King Room (Fridge), non-smoking for 4 nights. When I checked in thr front staff gave me room in a small conner on the 5th floor that looked old, nothing like the room I booked and with a very bad cigarette smell! I refused to take the room.and demand the room that I booked which looks exactly like the pictures in Trip.com. I got the room I booked with the excuse from another front staff that they gave me an upgrade (to the older and worse room?). So make sure that you get the room you book. Other than that, the hotel is clean, no cigarette smell in the public area. The location is perfect, across from Jinyu Hutong subway station, an easy walk away from Forbidden Ciity and very close to several Shopping Centers in Wangfujing walking street. There are all-day free coffee and tea on the 1st floor and free laundry on 6th floor. I still recommend this hotel despite the problem of the room assignment.

Location is good, although car couldn’t drive in but short walking distance to main road is fine. Staff is friendly and helpful, recommended us to take level 1 room which is very convenient to get hot water from lobby. Breakfast choices are limited, only grab some in the morning before start our itinerary of the day. Hotel amenities with clothes dryer is an important factor for me to book this hotel (Per trip and hotel information, it should have clothes dryer), however we were informed the clothes dryer is spoilt after we washed the clothes, which is a minus point for me. Hope hotel can take note on this feedback.

When I choose to stay at a hotel with a reception, I expect more than just a room - I expect reliable guidance and communication. Unfortunately, this hotel fell short in that regard. For example, I was advised to take a taxi to the Great Wall, when in reality there are several convenient shuttle options that I later found on my own. Similarly, when I asked for a simple recommendation for tea, the response I received was dismissive and unhelpful (screen shot attached). On top of that, the air conditioning in my room stopped working. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the staff made me feel uncomfortable about requesting a room change and had to contact trip for help. Overall, the lack of support and poor communication significantly impacted my experience and left me disappointed - would never come back here and would never recommend this place.

The biggest highlight here is that the hotel can help you get a queue number for the neighboring Siji Minfu restaurant. You just need to tell the front desk roughly what time you plan to eat. The day before yesterday, they proactively upgraded our room to one with a window. Jinshi Hutong subway station is right next door, and there's a craft beer spot nearby. It's only two subway stops to the National Museum and Tiananmen Square. Walking from the hotel to the Meridian Gate of the Forbidden City takes about 15 minutes. After visiting the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park, a three-stop bus ride brings you right back to the hotel, making it super convenient to grab your luggage and head to your next destination. It's perfect for families with kids.

Choose this hotel when traveling to Beijing! It's tucked away in a quiet courtyard, yet close to the hustle and bustle. The environment is fresh and natural, surrounded by greenery. The room was clean and tidy, and it's super convenient for sightseeing, with many attractions within walking distance – surprisingly close! The cleanliness was impeccable. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit. Five stars, highly recommended!

I was pleasantly surprised by the incredibly convenient location. Getting around Beijing, whether by car or subway, usually takes ages, so it was great that the hotel is right next to a pedestrian street. All the famous restaurants like Dadong, Haitang, and Latina are nearby, all within a 10-minute walk. The hotel is also super clean, the pillows are comfortable, and the front desk staff are friendly. The hotel's breakfast is also a good option. It's a great hotel, and I hope it continues to improve!

I stayed at 3 different hotels during my recent trip to Beijing. The first one, Zhifei, was advertised as a new hotel for 2025, but the 'hard' fittings (like the building structure) didn't seem new; however, the 'soft' furnishings were definitely new. The style was a bit unique, but for the price, I couldn't complain! The tissue quality was surprisingly excellent, almost astonishingly good. The second hotel was Shiguang Manbu S. It's a new hotel built within an old building. As a 4-star hotel, its exterior might be a bit of a disadvantage, but the service was the best out of the three. They offered an incredible array of complimentary services, including late-night snacks, regular snacks, a mini-fridge, hair ties, laundry service with drying and delivery, sanitary pads, take-away breakfast, makeup remover wipes, and hand warmers – about 50 different free add-ons in total! The third hotel was Jianguo Platinum Collection. Built in 2021, the architecture, lobby, and room furnishings were all very well-maintained. My first impression was that it most closely matched a 4-star standard. The breakfast was indeed very rich and plentiful. It offered great value for money, especially considering its proximity to Universal Studios. The only drawbacks were some minor details: the overhead shower was broken, the coffee cup hadn't been washed, the safety chain on the door was broken, the air conditioning could only heat up to 23.5 degrees Celsius, and there was a camera directly facing my door from outside. My experience with these three hotels was completely different in style, and their operational focus varied. However, I don't regret choosing any of them.
