I specifically chose Qinran B&B, and it definitely didn't disappoint! The entire place was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully decorated, with all the essentials provided. The owner was incredibly friendly and promptly helped resolve any issues. My stay was perfect, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Pros:
1. The room is spacious, with two beds comfortably accommodating 4 people, plus a bunk bed.
2. The view is fantastic, offering an unobstructed panorama of the entire dam and Yanqi Lake.
3. There are plenty of toys for kids, which my children absolutely loved. They are also of good quality and include a star projector, a slide, and a small tent.
4. The location is excellent, making it convenient to explore the dam, and bicycle rentals are available.
5. The electronic amenities seem good, like the Bose speaker system, although I didn't get a chance to use it.
Cons:
1. The details are far from what you'd expect from a five-star hotel. For instance, there's no non-slip mat in the shower area, nor any plastic non-slip slippers, making it very easy to slip. The toilet is old and crooked, which is frankly speechless. The shower also flooded into the main bathroom area. For a room meant for five people, there was only one tiny trash can that filled up quickly.
2. There's no room service. I could understand if it was busy, but when I went to the restaurant, it was mostly empty with only one or two tables occupied.
3. The complimentary water and drinks provided were also quite subpar.

The room was a bit dated. While the staff were quick to verbally acknowledge requests, actually getting items delivered was very slow, and they often forgot altogether.
Initially, the room I entered had an odor. I went downstairs, and the front desk smoothly switched me to a new room that didn't smell.
However, that night I discovered the duvet cover was dirty... I called a staff member who said there were no new duvets available, so they could only change the duvet cover.
On the second morning, I asked for a disposable bathtub liner. It wasn't delivered all morning... When I asked the front desk, they said they were too busy and even questioned why I didn't call multiple times to ask. Apparently, it was my fault for not hounding them enough.

Staying here while driving, the hotel's parking is very convenient. Just remember to grab a parking ticket each time you leave to get free parking. The service is great, and bottled water is replenished promptly.

The suite was very spacious and well-equipped. Both the bedroom and the outer balcony faced the lake directly, offering beautiful views. It was incredibly relaxing just sitting on the balcony and zoning out. The room service was very thoughtful; I requested water several times because I was brewing tea, and it was always delivered quickly. It was a great experience, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time.

The hotel has a nice concept or safari theme but somewhat under delivered. The pictures were nice but I think these are old pictures as it definitely needs upkeep or we think due for renovation and cleanliness of the surrounding needs more manpower. Pool is questionable and not inviting.
Plus side: Very close to the great wall you can literally walk about 1km away to the gate. And the nearby grocery is a cheap way to buy local gifts to bring home. However you are far from the main Beijing City as in more than 1 hour by taxi and 2 hours if you get caught in the rush hour of beijing cost which cost about US$20 one way.
The room is clean, big and decent for the price but really needs repair and I really question the security of the door as it was no secondary lock. The hot water is plenty, aircon is nice, internet is ok, soap is great.
Service: They are family run I think 3 or 4 people, they try to accommodate but unlike other hotels in China, they don't try to utilize tech to translate. I understand they are kinda old.
They don't automatically make up the room even though we stayed for 3 nights. so our garbage filed up. But we are ok with it.
They were waiting even though we arrived at 2am which we appreciated. And the iced coffee is nice.
Bad: Food maybe it is not our preferred taste. It is definitely not a buffet and we only eat once. You have alternative restaurants across the street or in the Great Wall commercial area but it is expensive.
So will we recommend it, maybe.
Yes, if you want a quiet place to unwind and want to explore the great wall for more than a day.
no, if you want to explore beijing, it is far from the city and conscious of cleanliness and upkeep.

The room facilities are complete, the front desk service is attentive, there is Wi-Fi, and it is convenient to order takeaway. The stay is very comfortable, there is a smart toilet and independent bathroom, and the surrounding environment is also good. Taking a taxi is also convenient.

Two families chose this hotel for a weekend road trip. Perhaps because it's located in an industrial park, there aren't many amenities nearby, but there are a few decent restaurants within walking distance.
The staff at check-in were friendly and professional. Xiaolin provided detailed information about the hotel facilities and the complimentary tickets to local attractions included in our package.
The hotel's family-friendly facilities were a pleasant surprise. They have a game room, a screening room, and affordable badminton courts with equipment available. The lobby staff were also great about keeping an eye on the kids to prevent them from wandering off, which was a huge plus.
The hotel is conveniently located near Yanqi Lake, Shentangyu, Hongluo Temple, and Qinglong Gorge Scenic Area, making it a great choice for a holiday getaway.

The hotel is near the mountain and the water. Although the bridge is being repaired, the view is nice. The room is large and clean. The facilities are complete and smart. The whole family can have fun together. You can play ball and barbecue in the hotel. There is a children's playground and a great leisure area. It is very comfortable with few people. Water and fruit are free. The whole family is satisfied. I hope the facilities for sports and playing ball can be maintained more as some are damaged. In a word, it is not bad!

GGuest UserI suddenly had the idea of going to the outskirts of Beijing on the weekend, and I searched for a homestay online. I booked it because the environment seemed good. We first went to Pinggu to see the rape flowers and then came to Hongluo Temple in the afternoon. The environment of the homestay is nice. There is a tea area and reading area in the lobby. There are large floor-to-ceiling windows, which are good for daydreaming. The staff at the B&B were also very cute. They helped us adjust the TV and brought us sampled coffee. I feel like they are going to open a coffee shop business in the future. The price also includes a very exquisite breakfast. You can also order meals at noon and in the evening. The famous temple is in front of the B&B. I will go there again if I have the chance!

GGuest UserA highly recommended homestay! The second time I came, I was still satisfied with the full grade. Last time I lived in a separate bungalow yard, this time it was an ordinary Loft room, the overall and details were very good, clean and tidy, the TV could cast screens, and the kitchen was all available. Say the key point: There are a lot of homestays with excellent environment and facilities, but the service is so excellent, really not much! Very warm and meticulous reception, gift gifts, and fruit exchanged by members of Qunar.com. When I checked out the next day, I met the tenant of the chartered house and said that it was an old customer of the homestay. It was very nice. I took the initiative to let us store our luggage and go out to play. Have a good day, come back next time! ❤️

GGuest UserYou can always trust Jinjiang Club's hotels. I took my kids to Hongluo Temple and wanted to stay in a nearby B&B, but my kids strongly requested to stay in a hotel, saying that hotels are not bad. Lifeng is very close to the Hongluo Temple scenic area, and the price is much more affordable than B&Bs. The bed, quilt, and pillow are as comfortable as ever, and the price-performance ratio is extremely high.

NNaoyanaoyaFirst evaluation, the experience is too bad! The water temperature in the paddling pool is a bit cold in winter. There is a slipper under the bed and a broken bathrobe. The room is too hot. The radiator is cold and the air conditioner is not turned on. I woke up in the middle of the night because of the heat. I had a sore throat in the morning after sleeping. If you have a runny nose, it is recommended that the air conditioner also provide cold air.
