"They have kindly upgraded us to rooms next to elevator with balcony for better ventilation. Even at lower level the view of Taipei is unbeatable. We like the wooden floor much better. Because of renovation at the separate bldg, they’ve used strong aroma to cover the smell. That side has carpet floor which will suit some of the travellers. A few boutiques at main bldg, selling special fashion & accessories. Hope we could stay for longer next time to read the exhibition at V floor. Those are precious history of how the hotel has developed since 1940s. Buses to Jiantan only operates on weekends- we as Japanese cannot read the sign & waited in the wind for 10+ min. Luckily a lady asked the concierge & figured out what’s going on. We took taxi instead."

"This hotel is at a great location in Taipei's premier elite area. ＜30 seconds walk from an underpass exit/entry of a Taipei Metro station, right next to a 7-11 convenience store that opens 24 hours a day, across the street/alley in ＜15 seconds a pharmacy, ＜1 minute walk a cafe, within walking distance two banks where you can do currency exchange, and a great park with play ground across the main street that you can walk to via underpass. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Although I didn't use it, I appreciate that there is a laundry facility in the hotel. I stayed in a deluxe twin room with no windows. The bed was very comfortable and supportive, which as an older person I really appreciated. The room was very clean. The only recommendation I have is to make the glass wall between the bathroom and the bedroom light proof. As it was, when one person uses the bathroom at night, the light could wake up the other person who is sleeping."

"We reached at 1230pm and was told that we can check in only after 4pm. It’s fine so we went ahead exploring Xinmending which is a 20mins walk. What is unwelcoming was the toilet at the lobby. It was in a terrible state choking with poop and that is the only toilet. The room is dim especially the bathroom. The bathroom doors are opaque so we can almost see through when we were using the bathroom from the room. The carpet along the corridor and room is moldy, walls are peeling. Location is good as it’s a stone way from Taipei Main Station. We booked 3 nights but checked out after one night as it was uncomfortable."

"This is our first trip to Taiwan, recommended by my friend that Tango Inn in Ximen but is full, hence we pick Tango Inn at Jiantan. Me and my hub are super happy with Tango Inn, their staffs are super friendly and helpful. See my review below for good comments: - Right next MRT 2min walk - Around 5 station from Taipei main - if you like onsen, 8 station. From Xin Beitou, which is ard 10-12min - near to Shilin Night market, is only 5min walk - surrounding a lot of eateries, there is Formosa Chang if you like Ru Rou fan, steamboat and pasta restaurant - there is pantry area for this Inn with coffee machine, bread provided in the morning - there is washing machine and dryer - last but not least, I am very particular with the cleanliness, room toilet is super clean and beautiful"

"The room was quite spacious. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and helpful. Check-out was also very convenient. The water pressure was good, and the hot water was hot enough. Plus, you can watch a lot of movies. There's a convenience store and a stationery store downstairs, and a whole row of food and drink options just around the corner. The location is very convenient."

"When I go to Taipei, I always stay at this hotel. The location is very strategic, the staff is friendly, and the facilities meet the needs of solo travelers. Each floor and even each room has a specific theme. Ps, I really like buying drinks across the street from the hotel 😆"

"This hotel was okay for the money. The staff were helpful whenever we needed anything. On arrival the room floor hadn't been mopped or swept. We asked the staff to have it sorted and they did so right away. The bathroom drains had a bad smell from them most of the time, and as there was no window it was hard to get rid of the smell. We left the extractor fan on in the bathroom as much as possible but it didnt clear it away 100%. Location was at the end of one line pn the metro so was a bit out the way for a fair amount of the stay but also was quite convenient as was often quiet and could easily get a seat. Overall average experience at this hotel"

"The location is absolutely fantastic! If I remember correctly, it's right next to Exit M8 of the MRT/HSR/TRA station. I'm a late riser, so when I rushed downstairs with only 15 minutes to spare, I still made it to the TRA platform with 3 minutes before departure. This spot is such a gem, I almost don't want to share it!🤣 Across the street is (what I think is) a police station, and there's a 7-Eleven downstairs, so safety and convenience are top-notch. It's rare for a hostel to have these individual 'rooms,' offering great privacy, and you need a card to enter. The only downside is that since you're still in bunk-bed proximity to the next 'room,' you can hear movement, which made falling asleep a bit tricky, but it wasn't a big deal because everyone was genuinely very quiet. There are quite a few bathrooms. The ones in the accommodation area are very smooth to use but limited, making them hard to snag. There are plenty upstairs, but the drains aren't as good; if you shower a little longer, it tends to flood a bit, which is slightly uncomfortable but tolerable. I really liked the room; the mattress and pillow were quite comfortable. Plus, you can watch a small TV, but I wouldn't recommend it at night due to the average soundproofing. The common area has space for eating, a fridge, and readily available hot water."

"A perfect location in the heart of Taipei makes it easy to walk anywhere. If you dont want to walk, use Bolt. This is the first self check in hotel and it was pretty easy to do. There is staff that will come out a help you. Fresh towels, tissue, shampoo, bath gel, water everyday. Just go or call the 3rd floor (reception) for help. The rooms are small but it's all you need. The price point (when booked in advamce) is reasonable. I'd stay here again."

"We were very pleased with our stay at the Miramar Garden. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The hotel is centrally located, near the Taipei Main Station, which made sightseeing convenient. We enjoyed the pool, although it was smaller than expected. The hotel offers a good buffet breakfast, with decent variety. There is also a small cafe in the hotel lobby. The hotel staff was friendly and spoke good English. The gym and sauna seemed nice as well, although we didn't have an opportunity to use them. Overall, we were very comfortable here and would stay again on our next visit to Taipei."
