Outstanding
GGuest UserLoved the hotel! First of all there is the great, friendly and professional hotel staff. Also, the location of the hotel is ideal: closeby Taipei 101 and Xiangshan. At last, the room itself was really nice and comfortable. Overall I had a perfect experience at W Taipei!

GGuest UserThe location is sweet, 5 mins walk to the closest MRT, and there are even YouBike and Bus for traveling.
There are 3 convenient stores nearby, which is good.
Since the beginning of 2025, hotels in Taiwan won't provide amenities, so the convenient store can be used to purchase any if you need them.
Drop-off and Pick-up in the area is slightly askew, do be careful as it's beside the traffic light.
Counters for check-in are locate at level 3, The room is a good size; I'm able to open my luggage fully. However, the walls are slightly thin, so neighboring up or side rooms closing doors or accidental bumps are heard from time to time.
The bathroom has a separated toilet (with bidet), bathing, and bathtub.
The concierge folks are friendly and able to store luggage to return for collection on the last day.

AAnonymous UserThere's construction on one side of the hotel, and the old windows don't close properly, so diesel fumes from the crane wafted directly into the bedroom. Not to mention the noise from the building work – imagine driving a car without air conditioning, stuck behind a diesel truck constantly spewing exhaust fumes. The result? A headache that required painkillers.
Luckily, Trip.com was great and got me a room change.
The mattress is very soft, so if you prefer lumbar support, you should reconsider. The family with kids next door was very noisy, and the front desk promptly moved me to another room. The transportation is very convenient, with the MRT station just a two-minute walk away.
The hotel lobby is like an MRT platform, bustling with people – from young to old, student groups to limping seniors, all attending some event. It's the opposite of quiet. If you enjoy crowded fairs, you might like the lively atmosphere. Even checking in took about 10 minutes.

MMensoreeeCame for a two night stay. It’s a great location. The room I booked had a higher ceiling which was nice. The room was big which was also nice. The shower cubicle was rather tiny considering the size of the room but the soaps in there were pretty nice. Soundproofing definitely needs improvement as I could hear sounds from within the building at all times of day and night.
The bed and pillow however was disappointing. The bed wasnt really nasty but just not great the pillows though were nasty…. They smelled off and were so badly worn out that after 10 mins of sleeping it gets sunken in completely. Probably just a cheap bed and pillow that is worn out. The sheets smelled as though they had not been cleaned. The corridor on the 17th floor had a strange smell from the flooring, it looked like one of those ridiculous Japanese “ new age noise reduction floor material “ that is super hard to maintain after it gets dirty.
Being close to the popular raohe night market, you could walk, but safety is not guaranteed as there are many homeless people wandering the streets outside the hotel and along the way to the market. Most of them retreat to the bus shelters after 10pm and behind staircases if it rains.
Mmimi0513Let's start with the positives:
The doorman, lobby manager, and front desk staff were all very professional, living up to the reputation of a renowned international hotel.
The room was spacious, bright, and clean.
Now for the negatives:
It lacks grandeur. The lobby entrance is too narrow, making it feel like a busy market when crowded.
The facilities are mediocre. The bidet toilet was installed too high; even at 172cm, my feet couldn't touch the ground when seated. The TV was incredibly small, disproportionate to the room size.
The most frustrating issue was the poor soundproofing. The guests next door in room 1225 were speaking English, and perhaps they couldn't control their volume, but I could hear their conversations clearly, which was very loud and disturbing. This was extremely disappointing.
Due to construction, the Ferris wheel was almost completely obscured. This isn't the hotel's fault, but rather an objective circumstance.
AAnonymous UserThis hotel is true old fashioned luxury…
I booked a last minute trip to Taipei for a week stay and looked at many hotels. This was a really good price, found on *******. Didn’t pay too much attention other than location and features.
Well, I can’t believe my luck. It’s a 5 star hotel with a 3 Star Michelin restaurant upstairs.
The most incredible buffet breakfast (definitely worth getting this included in the room if you can spare the few extra $) - absolutely every food imaginable is on offer - and top quality, fresh ingredients, all made fresh.
The bathroom attached to the breakfast room alone is worth a shout out - pure luxury.
Their gym is fantastic, everything you need in a hotel gym.
And location is excellent - handy to train and within walking distance of so many beautiful sights and great places to eat.
Can’t recommend highly enough. Their clean green focus is also a wonderful feature - they provide glass bottles that you can fill with fresh purified water.
My room came with complimentary access to the Salon lounge - a gorgeous space with some snacks and drinks where you can hang out or get some work done. A really nice option if you don’t want to work in your hotel room.
If i ever make it back to Taipei, this will without a doubt be my hotel of choice.
(These are photos that definitely don’t do justice - breakfast buffet, breakfast room bathroom, view from gym treadmill)

KkhtravelThe hotel's interior decor is stunning, with a strong Japanese feel. The rooms are clean and spacious, featuring a private onsen and yukata. Plus, there are complimentary drinks and snacks. If you check in around 3 PM, you can enjoy a tea ceremony performance with free green tea and snacks. Breakfast offers a wide and delicious selection!

JJay626A stunning view greeted us when we first checked into our room. We didn't expect to see a great view of the Taipei 101 given the hotel's location. A perfect place to watch countdown fireworks. Hotel room was very clean and spacious. You can see the small details and effort in maintaining the room. Welcome snacks were delicious. Special mention to the popcorn which was so good. Good location with walking distance to nearby hypermarket and 西门町. Well connected to nearby mrt and bus stations. Definitely living up to its high scoring.

GGuest UserThe hotel is really nice and comfortable. The room is spacious and well-decorated. The location is super convenient with a subway station just a five-minute walk away. The view from the room is excellent, and everything feels new, making it perfect for travelers.
