A very good option overall, especially for budget travelers. I would rate the hotel 5 out of 5 for cleanliness, location, and service.
The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Rooms and common areas were tidy and comfortable, which makes a big difference when you are staying at a budget property.
The location is excellent. It is situated very close to a metro station, which makes getting around Taipei very convenient. For travelers planning to explore the city using public transport, the location works very well.
Service was also very good. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay.
In terms of amenities, travelers should manage expectations. The hotel provides the basics but not everything you might find in a full-service hotel. It is recommended to bring your own toiletries as only minimal items are provided in the room.
Breakfast is simple and delivered as a packed option, typically something like a sandwich or a burger-style item. It is basic but perfectly adequate. One nice touch is that the hotel offers free coffee throughout the day from a coffee machine and complimentary snacks such as chips and crackers at the reception area. They also provide bottled water upon request.
Overall, this is not a luxury or fancy hotel, but for budget travelers it is a very practical and comfortable choice. If you are looking for an affordable place that is clean, well located, and run by friendly staff, Tai Hope Hotel is a solid option.

Arial900The hotel is a bit difficult to find because the lobby is located at 5th floor but maybe that was my fault did’t read the instruction carefuly but other than that it’s good enough for me and my family who just transit for a bit, i didn’t know maybe it’s a bit to small for 3 person with a big luggage. But it’s clean and i have a nice rest there

The hotel location is not too bad. It’s a 5 to 9 minute walk from the metro station in a straight line. If you walk in the opposite direction, it’s the way to the Ningxia night market. Very convenient location if you’re commuting by metro for most of your trip.
The room and hallway are bright and clean. No strong, or foul, strange odours at all. Each floor has a feature entrance to the hallway. For example, the 8th floor is Maji Meow and is quite cute.
The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. They are staffed by people who speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. The chamber maid was very friendly and helpful and accommodating to our needs since we asked for extra covers.
The only negative is the room is cold and there is no way to adjust the temperature correctly. We turned the temperature up to 30 degrees Celsius, but the actual temperature on the panel ended up as 18 degrees Celsius no matter what we tried. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It didn’t help that one of the air conditioning vents are directly over the bed. The independent twin beds in the room are more suited for children as some others have said since they tend to be on the soft side and really fall in when you sit on them. However, if you don’t mind a soft bed, they’re fine for adults.
We also loved there’s a whole downstairs room and area complete with a hot and cold drink machine like coffee, milk tea, soy milk and milk. There’s also a water machine with hot and cold water. They also have tea leaf eggs which are delicious, assorted snacks, and flavoured jelly. It’s well used by other guests there. We saw a variety of travellers from different places. We saw a lot of Japanese travellers there though. They also have a gaming station as well as a computer you can access the internet. Both wireless and Lightning charging stations are also available. You can spend all day in there if you like. However, they do have operating hours there (5 am to 2 am the time we stayed there). In the corner they also have a massage chair. It’s all an unexpected bonus! :-) You may also order breakfast (paid separately on your own) with the front desk and they’ll have breakfast cooked and ready for you since it looks like they have a full kitchen downstairs.
All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay at the Yomi Hotel. Will definitely be one of our top choices when we visit Taipei again.

Allie LoweThe reception staff is super nice- when I arrived with a bruised knee (luggage cart at T1 has malfunctioned wheels bumped at my leg), the young man assisted me with check-in while I’m sitting nearby; & arranged an accessible room on site at no extra cost. Bathtub inside rooms super nice as shown in pic.
Tho I only stay for one night, their kindness is much appreciated. So I highly recommend this hotel … while it’s a bit dated, the staff works to the best to ensure I have a great stay there. Will try to visit the night market next time; & Citylink nearby is a super big mall with plenty of eateries. Thank you again for accommodating my needs while I’m travelling.

Guest UserRoom 717 was clean. The CCTV cameras on every corner of the hallway made me feel secure. However, the hallway floors were very echoey, so you could hear everyone walking by. My double room had absolutely no hooks or hangers, which definitely needs improvement. My room also didn't have any USB charging ports (though some single rooms with private toilets did). There were only two-pin flat sockets, so if you wanted to use a larger international adapter by the bed, you'd have to unplug the fridge or TV. There were sockets by the door and the sink, but they weren't convenient for my use. I stayed for 5 nights, and on the last night, the air conditioning unit outside my window was intermittently loud and frequent, making it impossible to sleep. This needs to be fixed. For a double room, they only provided one key. If you wanted another, you had to pay a NT$500 deposit, which was returned, but without a receipt. When I asked for one, they just scribbled a note and told me to take a picture. I hope they can be more professional about this.

We had a great stay at BW 48 House during our trip to Taiwan! The location was very convenient, especially since it was near Shilin Night Market, making it easy to explore and enjoy local food anytime.
The room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained—perfect for resting after a long day of tours. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff/host was responsive and helpful whenever we had questions.
Even though the space was not very big (typical in Taiwan), it was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.
Overall, BW 48 House is a great budget-friendly option with a good location and clean rooms. Highly recommended for travelers looking for a simple and convenient place to stay in Taipei!

Irene 887So far so good, room was comfy enough. Good area, walk just 3minutes away from shillin night market and 6minutes to metro station. The problem is there is no elevator to our room, meanwhile we got 3 big luggages 😕
Please mention if no elevator access to the room, thanks

XifajingguaishouExcellent value for money in central Taipei. The hostel's location is superb, close to Taipei Main Station and Ximending, with the MRT just a short walk away. The room was clean and simple, the bedding comfortable, and the facilities well-maintained. The 24-hour front desk was efficient and attentive. Free WiFi was stable, and the bathroom had good water pressure and full amenities. Soundproofing was good, ensuring a quiet and restful night's sleep. Suitable for business trips or short getaways, it's clean, convenient, and provides great service. Overall, a very satisfying experience.

The hotel's location is pretty good, close to the MRT station, and there are several convenience stores right outside.
However, what I really need to complain about is the bizarre placement of the showerhead in the bathroom! You can't stand and shower comfortably, and the water inevitably sprays all over the toilet seat and toilet paper (even with the shower curtain drawn properly). Even more horrifying, the hot water is incredibly difficult to regulate; it suddenly blasts out scalding hot water (not just warm).

Guest UserOverall is acceptable.
Good location, there are shops and restaurants nearby, is convenient to go attractive places.
The only thing is the hotel is old, seems like lack of maintenance and upgrades.
