GGuest UserLoved the hotel! First of all there is the great, friendly and professional hotel staff. Also, the location of the hotel is ideal: closeby Taipei 101 and Xiangshan. At last, the room itself was really nice and comfortable. Overall I had a perfect experience at W Taipei!

GGuest UserExcellent and very friendly service throughout my entire stay from doorman to concierge to front desk to housekeeping to restaurant to gym. Great location next to Shandao temple MRT and within walking distance to Taipei station, nice restaurants, cafes and the famed Fuhang soy milk. I also enjoyed the excellent lunch buffer at the hotel restaurant Kitchen 12 at incredibly reasonable price. But please note that Marriott Bonvoy platinum elite or higher tier members do not receive the usual executive lounge access or free breakfast if you book via Trip.com (you need to book directly with Marriott to enjoy the benefits).

SSimon Tan 85My recent stay at the Parkview Hotel in Hualien was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The property is beautifully designed, surrounded by lush greenery and offering breathtaking views of the mountains and ocean. It truly feels like a peaceful resort retreat. Rooms & Comfort The room was spacious, clean, and very well maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches — from the well-stocked amenities to the quiet atmosphere that allowed for a restful sleep. Facilities Parkview’s facilities are outstanding. The swimming pool, gym, and recreational areas are all modern and well-kept. Families will especially enjoy the wide range of activities and the children’s play areas. The large garden and open spaces make it perfect for morning walks or simply relaxing outdoors. Dining Breakfast was generous, offering both international and local ********* selections. The quality and freshness of the food were excellent, and the service staff were attentive, keeping everything replenished quickly. Service What stood out most was the hospitality. Every staff member I interacted with was polite, warm, and eager to help — whether at the front desk, in the restaurants, or around the hotel grounds. Their professionalism and friendliness added so much to the experience. Location The hotel is conveniently located just a short drive from Hualien city center and the train station, yet it feels like a peaceful resort away from the bustle. It’s also a great base for exploring Taroko Gorge and the surrounding natural attractions. ⸻ ✅ Overall: Parkview Hotel is a perfect choice for anyone visiting Hualien, whether for leisure, family holidays, or even a quiet getaway. I left feeling refreshed and would definitely return. Highly recommended!

GGuest User1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. Thank you for your attention.

MM885843****There was a persistent sewage smell in the room that couldn't be resolved. The front desk staff were very responsive, but could only offer a deodorizing spray to mask the smell. On the last day, the in-room Wi-Fi stopped working, which meant no TV and no screen mirroring. Overall, the service was okay, and the location was convenient, but the hardware facilities, environment, and breakfast were all subpar. I wouldn't consider staying here again.

GGuest UserThe 1.8-meter bed was great, and the room was clean. There was also a large bathtub, though I didn't get a chance to use it this time. The location is super convenient, right across from Exit 2 of Jiannan Road MRT Station. Breakfast was included, and the fried chicken udon noodles were pretty good. However, the variety of other breakfast options was quite limited, so I'd suggest they add more.

AAnonymous UserThe location is fantastic. You come down the elevator, turn left, and you're right at Wanhua Train Station. The entrance directly opposite FamilyMart leads straight to the MRT station. At first, I thought the MRT station wasn't close, but it's actually incredibly near! Great value for money! I was assigned a room on the 18th floor, so the high floor offered a good view. Also, the pool staff were very friendly! There's even a small table next to the lobby entrance specifically for food deliveries, which is super convenient for ordering takeout. I'm quite puzzled why there isn't a 'Do Not Disturb' sign guests can hang on the door to let staff know not to clean the room. And about the swimming pool – wearing a swim cap is required, which is reasonable! But one evening, a group of middle/high school boys came to swim. A few who were fully equipped went in first, then they started egging on their friends who didn't bring swim trunks. They argued that the rule only mentioned swim caps, not swim trunks! After much discussion, they actually concluded that only a swim cap was needed, not swim trunks, so several of them just jumped in wearing their underwear! (And they didn't even shower!) It was disgusting! I quickly pulled my child out of the pool and went back to the room. Their underwear was dark-colored, so I guess the staff couldn't tell. Furthermore, the bathtub is very small. The bathroom had a noticeable odor.
