Taipei Hotels with Bars

The view was fantastic, with a clear sight of Taipei 101 in the distance. The room had a convenient table, perfect for a quick bite or a drink. Since it was an anniversary celebration, the hotel kindly provided a bottle of champagne, which really set a lovely atmosphere. The staff were all polite and had excellent service. And the breakfast was really good too! ♡

First Impression: The Luxurious Ritual of a European Castle Subtle and Secluded Driveway: As the car turned from the tree-lined Dunhua North Road, it entered a highly private French-style circular driveway, exclusively designed for VIP guests. Museum-Quality Artistic Ambiance: Stepping into the grand and towering lobby, guests are greeted by an aesthetic space adorned with over 1,700 original artworks and exquisite giant crystal chandeliers. Impeccable Welcome Service: The front desk service is attentive and seamless. Upon being seated, guests are immediately presented with a ceremonial special hibiscus welcome tea and hot towels.

This is probably the most cost-effective hotel in Taipei. The room size is decent, but it's definitely showing its age. There was a stale, sweaty smell in both the room and the hallway. The executive lounge service was excellent, no complaints there. However, the front desk service on the first floor was absolutely terrible. An elderly lady couldn't hear what the staff member was saying, and the short-haired staff member repeated herself several times with extreme impatience, then threw things and rolled her eyes, which was quite disgusting. There were a lot of Japanese guests, and it was very noisy at night. The low service score is due to the front desk; the F&B and the executive lounge staff were all very professional.

I had a grea stay at Parkview Taipei. First, the location is unbeatable—being just steps away from the train station made exploring Taipei completely stress-free. Second, the service here is top-tier. Every staff member I encountered was professional and eager to help. I was especially touched by the daily room cleaners, who went above and beyond with their exceptionally warm gestures and friendly smiles. It is those small, personal touches that make a hotel stand out. I will definitely return!

The hotel's interior decor is stunning, with a strong Japanese feel. The rooms are clean and spacious, featuring a private onsen and yukata. Plus, there are complimentary drinks and snacks. If you check in around 3 PM, you can enjoy a tea ceremony performance with free green tea and snacks. Breakfast offers a wide and delicious selection!

We recently stayed at the Dinosaur Kingdom Family Room and transferred to a Premier Twin Room the following day. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The staff were consistently kind, helpful, and accommodating, which we truly appreciated. We especially enjoyed the family room—it was thoughtfully designed and perfect for traveling with a young child. I had initially planned for a two-night stay in this room, but unfortunately, renovations were scheduled to begin the following day. This was a bit disappointing, as it made our time there feel quite short, especially with other activities already planned during our trip. In comparison to other five-star hotels we’ve stayed in, I did find the lack of flexibility with early check-in a bit surprising, particularly for the themed room. We had hoped to settle in earlier, and similarly, the following day’s transfer to the Premier room was not available early as it was fully booked. While this was different from what I’m used to, I do understand that this may be part of their standard protocol. On a positive note, we loved the buffet, and the rooms were very comfortable. The complimentary drinks were a nice touch, and the playroom area was excellent—clearly designed with families in mind. It was also lovely to see the hotel organizing activities for children. During our stay, there was a special event (like a children’s appreciation day?), where me and my baby were able to participate in arts and crafts and even received small prizes, which made the experience extra memorable. The swimming pool was decent, though not very large, and the water was quite cold, so we ended up enjoying the bathtub instead. One area for improvement would be cleanliness. We noticed visible dust in the room, which was concerning—especially since the room is designed for small children, and for someone like me who is diagnosed with allergies to multiple types of dust mites. I did raise this with Lara at the lobby, who kindly apologized and mentioned she would inform housekeeping. However, upon transferring rooms the next day, I still noticed dust in certain areas, which made me question the thoroughness of the cleaning. Separately, I also observed that some toiletries (such as conditioner and lotion) were nearly empty upon arrival, suggesting they may not have been checked or replenished prior to our stay. Despite these points, we genuinely had a pleasant experience overall and would consider returning. I’m also excited and curious to see what the next theme for the family rooms will be after the renovations.

Facilities: There's a 7-Eleven nearby and a FamilyMart right across the street, which is quite convenient overall. However, it's a bit far from the subway station, at least a 15-minute walk. The hotel can help call a taxi. Service: The service was good. On the first day, my room had a very strong perfume smell, which made me uncomfortable as soon as I entered. I immediately contacted the front desk to request a room change. After about a 10-minute wait, staff assisted me in successfully changing rooms! Throughout my stay, all my needs were met to my satisfaction! The hotel offers views of Songshan Airport and Taipei 101 on one side, and the Ferris wheel 🎡 on the other!

The 1.8-meter bed was great, and the room was clean. There was also a large bathtub, though I didn't get a chance to use it this time. The location is super convenient, right across from Exit 2 of Jiannan Road MRT Station. Breakfast was included, and the fried chicken udon noodles were pretty good. However, the variety of other breakfast options was quite limited, so I'd suggest they add more.

I had an exceptional stay at Éclat Hotel Taipei. The room was immaculate and beautifully designed with high-end touches like a Dyson hair dryer and a Nespresso machine. The staff were incredibly attentive and professional, making the check-in process seamless. I also loved the location it’s in the heart of Da’an District, very close to the MRT and surrounded by fantastic restaurants and convenience stores. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Taipei!

A few incidents would like to take record of: * my first time experiencing issue with Trip.com that the hotel couldn’t find my booking under my name, i normally book directly on IHG but since no 2 single beds room available thus paying no lower rate for a twin bedroom thru agent. * the AI control system does not work where two times their colleagues came up to fix but actually failed, i couldn’t reach my son at the other room at all - the room to room function never have worked, we had to use our own mobile phones to contact each other not just the cost but inconvenient! * did not expect five stars hotel in big city’s has no foreign exchange service, even queensland's and okinawa’s InterCon where located out of CBD provides that. * should have state on website AND on site and in hotel room’s TV screen that some restaurants are yet to open, we are disappointed with that very limited choices on in- room dining menu we had to order same dishes for two days and not kids friendly at all. My daughter had to take same fried rice and hainan chicken rice twice (as the beef noodles are spicy and no indicate on your menu), she couldn’t finish the chicken rice at first colour of the meat is unpleasant (and obviously if you ask the hotel we only ate one third of the dishes), we found the food was removed when we came back from outside - am not sure the hotel practice but normally unless guest pushes the table out ourselves or ask for the plates to be taken away it should not be cleared up yet till we mention. I’m not expecting their staff to help put a wine cork back on an unfinished bottle of champagne but as like who assigned to check phone system should have double checked by trying the phone herself before telling the customer it's been fixed! The service is not professional and besides service fee they are charging in house guest delivery fee on hotel food!! We have never heard of any hotel on such, would appreciate their explanation if it’s an official government request.
