Taipei Hotels with Airport Shuttle

"I booked a hotel near the station to participate in the Taipei Marathon, and I thought it was a good distance since I wanted to use Songshan Airport for my return journey. From Exit M6, head towards Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Taipei and turn left. You'll see McDonald's and Sushiro (known as 'Sushi Lang' in Taipei), and the hotel is right there. There are also plenty of food stalls and restaurants in the vicinity, and you can exchange foreign currency at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. The National Taiwan Museum is also within walking distance, and Taipei Main Station offers excellent accessibility. The front desk is on the 11th floor, and there are water dispensers on each floor, so you can refill your water whenever needed. (I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, and they provided 3 bottles of water.) There's a nice surprise when you check in: you get some snacks."

"This hotel is located at the business, one of the highend residential neighborhood in Taipei city. We were lucky during our stay as the weather was cool and no rain, make the walkability is super high. Due to the affluent neighbourhood, there are many nic hidden cafes like Jelly Jelly Cafe within walking distance. The Yong Kang Street is within walking distance and if you are staying in Sonnien, do not miss the superb Wulao Guo in Yong Kang, which is around 10 minutes walk to the hotel. Ding Tai Fung is also within 500m walk (the hotel is good as the queue for DTF is around 2 hours which you could take a queue number and back to hotel to rest before your turn). Sonnien hotel downside is that it is a refurbished building and hence the floor height is low, especially the lobby. The room fittings is renewed progressively, the wallpaper showed sign of aging but the bed, bath, bath tub, toilet seats, furniture are in meticulous conditions. The room is elegantly and thoughtfully designed, it offers the look and touch especially the tables, door and frames are made with high quality solid wood. Toilet seats are heated and it's definitely excellent for winter. Sound proof is excellent too. Our room 1107 also offers great view of the greeneries along the Ren Ai road. The receptionist was helpful."

"Hotel is in a good area as it is near a train station (~3-5mins walk), convenient stores (711 & FamilyMart) beside it and a direct bus that goes to ShiLin night market (15-20mins). Overall cleanliness is still okay as during my stay there was an unpleasant but bearable smell in the room, toilet “window” has a lot of dirt and mould on it but bed is clean. Do kindly note that they provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash but not toothbrush and toothpaste. The toilet seat functions was not working in my room so i didn’t get to enjoy it 😔 Check in was smooth and fast as the staff helped me with the self check in kiosk."
