"This hotel truly felt like our Cape Town home for the week. It's very small, only 9 rooms, and as a consequence the guys who work there do become friends for the stay. It's a breakfast only place, no lunches or dinners but there's a restaurant literally next door called Pedlars which isn't fine dining but you can order a wide range of menu items and they'll bring it to you, whether you're by the ( very nice but big enough) pool or your room. That's what they did whilst we waited for our room to be got ready as we'd arrived very early from London. The rooms are gorgeous, not stupidly uber lux but sooo comfortable with everything you need and are super spacious all with a patio or balcony overlooking the pool. There's an honesty bar in the hotel which has everything you might want including some very nice wines. While we were there they organised for us to spend half a day at the Last Word Long Beach, which as the name suggests is a similarly gorgeous place overlooking the best surfing beach in the Cape. Last Word Constantia is definitely our favourite hotel on the planet, we definitely want to go and stay at their other hotels in SA. "

"We were looking for somewhere new to stay in Cape Town and came across the Glen Avon Lodge. On arrival we had a lovely welcome from Ashley who accompanied us to our room on the first floor overlooking the garden and pool. The room was more than we expected and we were very happy with it as we were with our stay overall. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we had invites from other friends, but we did enjoy the excellent breakfast in the morning on the terrace and again we were well looked after by Ashley and Tobias. Checkout was fast and efficient and we had a good chat with the manager, Lisa, who was also very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back later this month."

"I'm sure the place is nice inside but we wouldn't know. The owner doesn't communicate properly. When my wife arrived there was no answer at the door. After finding a phone number online she was then told by Kathe to rather go find somewhere else as the electrcity had been off for the last day and a half. The booking was accepted and paid for and no effort was made to notify us beforehand. I am yet to receive a reply on ***********. Not really good enough to tell someone to go elsewhere at 4pm when they are at your door."
