"Extremely disappointing stay — all name, no service We chose Deltin because of its name and reputation, and it turned out to be our biggest regret. We were staying there to celebrate my parents’ anniversary, so we had expected a comfortable and special experience. Unfortunately, the service was consistently disappointing. We had requested an early check-in. It wasn’t possible, which is absolutely fine — we understand hotel policies. But we eventually received our room only after 3 PM, so I found the attitude during checkout particularly ridiculous. Then came the so-called high tea. The stated time was 4:30 PM. At around 4:50 PM, there was still no food, no cups, no proper setup — just tea. When I politely asked a staff member about it, instead of simply explaining the delay, she almost shouted at me, saying that high tea had not even started and that lunch had just finished. Fair enough, but then why advertise 4:30 PM as the high-tea timing? By around 5:30 PM, things finally seemed to be getting set up. The tables were dirty and the overall experience was simply not what you expect from a hotel charging the kind of rates Deltin does. Dinner was another bizarre experience. We went for à la carte in the same restaurant where the buffet was being served and ordered dal and rice. My son politely asked a staff member if he could just taste a little piece of cake. The staff allowed it. We thought that was a kind gesture. Surprise — we were later charged for the buffet. Imagine ordering à la carte and being charged for an entire buffet simply because a child was allowed to taste a small piece of cake. This was honestly unbelievable. And then came checkout. We received a call asking us to check out and requested a little extra time. The response from the staff was extremely rude: “Ma’am, we cannot, because you checked in early.” Excuse me? We did NOT check in early. We got our room after 3 PM. If your own staff cannot keep track of when a guest actually checked in, how can you expect guests to trust the hotel? Breakfast was the perfect ending to the experience. No cutlery. No cups. No glasses. Every few minutes you had to go looking for something that should obviously have been available at a buffet breakfast. At this point, it almost felt like a comedy routine — ask for a cup, no cups; look for cutlery, no cutlery; look for glasses, no glasses. For a property carrying the Deltin name, the service and basic hospitality were shockingly poor. We came to celebrate my parents’ anniversary and genuinely wish we had chosen another hotel. The biggest lesson from this stay: don’t choose a hotel simply because of its name. Deltin Daman needs a serious reality check on service, staff behaviour, communication and basic guest experience. For us, unfortunately, this was a stay we will remember — but definitely not for the right reasons. attaching a photo. how people are Waiting for tea. "Enjoyed the stay, excellent view, v good location. Staff was efficient and very helpful. Food was tasty, Enjoyed the Smart TV as well. Here are a Few suggestions to make it better. 1. Need atleast five hooks in the bathroom to hang towels, Napkins, night dress. 2. need soap stands near Basins. 3. Phone extension in the suite sitting area. 4. Must Cover the walk way to the dinner area, very slippery in the rain. 5. Pool side Umbrella need to be stronger to stay firm on a windy day. Can be used to spend pool side time. Best wishes DR.
