"While the location is great (easily walkable from the train station) the service and the rooms are not! The personal at check-in was not unfriendly but they did not speak a single word unless it was absolutely necessary. They handed me a document with the usual guest information to fill in missing items (OK) but it contains a whole bunch of legalese amd additional terms which is void in Germany. When I asked about mit they claimed that I can either sign or leave without a refund. Ridiculous! The room was tiny, it had absolutely no resemblance to the rooms (of the same category) displayed on the website and booking portals. The floor was dirty, the table was dirty (sawdust!) and later at night we found more dirt on the bed below the decorative blanket. The wifi is borderline unusable and on top of that there is barely any cellphone reception in the room we got which meant that I actually had to go into the hallway to receive messages. The TV in them room was not much larger than my laptops screen and was not plugged into the power socket. Will definitely NOT be a guest there ever again. Luckily, Düren has many other hotel options available."

The rooms were also good. As I was the organizer of the seminar, I can speak for everyone, as this was reflected back to me."

"We were very happy with this hotel. It is in central Duren town centre, within walking distance of the Bus Station and also, a bit further, the Train Station and with parking on site at an extra payment. The Reception staff were very friendly and spoke fluent English. Our room was very good - a good size and with a kettle and coffee, etc. and also a fridge which was great to have. Our room at the back of the hotel was very quiet. We have no complaints at all!"

"We had chosen this hotel only because we had relatives in DN - but 1 night was too much. The hotel is very away from a very busy landstr. , so it was not possible to sleep at open window. There was no WiFi - neither in the guest room nor in the room. We did not test the restaurant, the smell from the kitchen has prevented us from doing so."

"The "junior boss" is always in a good mood and positive, no matter how stressful the situation is. The service is fast, friendly, open & pleasant and you always feel welcome. The rooms are freshly renovated, large, clean, bright and inviting. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired: at least 7 different types of sausage, a considerable selection of cheese, fresh fruit, as well as yoghurt & quark, various jams and also chocolate cream. Variations of coffee, as well as tea and also various juices. Muesli lovers get their money's worth and there are various nuts to refine. Rolls and bread are regularly replenished, as is a small selection of cakes. The dinner menu is simply great, no matter what you choose. See you soon Sperber/Fuchs (holiday over the Easter holidays '24)"
