"Stylish renovated property with beautifully planted grounds. There are various little seating areas dotted around the property. It really is a very thoughtfully designed hotel. The staff were friendly and professional. The lady organising breakfast, Tonia, was so kind and welcoming. Pros: the stylish design, cleanliness, professional staff, comfortable quiet room, super shower/hammam, delicious breakfast, garden planting, quiet location. Cons: the pool was very cold, no dinner restaurant in the hotel and a trek to find one by car."

"Started well, and that was that. They entered our room when we had left for the day. This left us feeling nervous. The room was great but if you’re going to have a hob for ‘babies milk’ and claim we should’ve known the job was not to be used for anything but babies milk, we would’ve gone for somewhere else. Save the confusion, put a microwave in there instead. He also messaged us loads unprompted while we were on our holiday."

"⸻ Lovely stay! The place has a great vacation vibe with lots of charm and a super relaxed atmosphere. The pool is right in the middle of the property, surrounded by little corners where you can sit, read, or just chill , very peaceful. The rooms are beautifully decorated and stayed cool even in the summer heat, thanks to good air conditioning. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always available via WhatsApp if we needed anything, which made everything really easy and smooth. Breakfast was light, fresh, and summery — simple but tasty, with nothing to complain about. Drinks were on the pricier side for a 3-star place (5€ for a beer, 9€ for an Aperol Spritz). Only small downside was the early check-out at 10:30am, which felt a bit rushed. All in all, it was a great stay. The value for money is very good, and the place itself is adorable!"

"Masseria Torre Maizza is a beautiful retreat in the heart of Puglia, with an wonderfully tranquil atmosphere. What made our stay especially memorable was the staff. Everyone we met was helpful, friendly and incredibly warm, making us feel welcome throughout our visit. The cleanliness was first rate, and our room was spacious, with a lovely private outdoor area where we could sit and enjoy the peace. The location was also excellent for exploring other parts of Puglia, including Alberobello, as well as visiting Matera. The bar came into its own in the evenings, with an amazing pianist who engaged with guests and happily took requests. My husband asked for Depeche Mode, and he played one of their songs—a lovely personal touch! A truly special place, combining beautiful surroundings, genuine hospitality and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. I would most definitely recommend to anyone and hope to return very soon."

"Staying at Bambarone La Masseria was one of the our highlights of our trip to Puglia. We loved our room which was perfect for four (2 adults and 2 kids) - the Il Nachiro. It was spacious, beautifully decorated and stayed cool in the summer heat. The host Pierfrancesco was friendly and welcoming! The grounds of the property are also very beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast room and outdoor seating was so inviting and a delight to spend time in. Breakfast was presented beautifully and had an excellent selection. It was delicious too! We would love to return again and we're praying for Pierfrancesco and the team that they will have their swimming pool permit approved ASAP! Then that would make the property 6 stars!!"

"We stayed here for a couple of nights, the pool is absolutely fabulous and kept very clean! The kids really enjoyed it. The rooms were a good size, modern and very clean. The mini fridge was amazing as it was very cold, so great for storing anything really. Our air conditioning worked quite well but other residents said there rooms weren't great with air conditioning and their rooms were very warm even with air conditioning on. I personally found the beds very hard and did sleep great at all during our stay. The towels provided were also very thin. Breakfast was lovely in the mornings but very small selection provided. Lunch we found limited selection and finished very early in the afternoon @ 2pm. Although food selection was limited, the food was nice. We did not have dinner here during our stay - we went out for dinner elsewhere."

The presentation also left much to be desired, as if it had been hastily prepared. Given this quality, the prices were surprisingly high, completely out of proportion to the actual value of the dishes. It's a shame, because the ambiance has potential, but the cuisine and value for money definitely need updating."

"We just left after five days. We travelled all over the region and stayed here. I can see why it’s #1. Even before we arrived they arranged our rental car and a pick up from our hotel in Sorrento. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very accommodating. Anything we needed they were there. Our room was totally good with a balcony overlooking the pool. Pool area and gym were both great too. We would definitely stay here again."

"We stayed here for 3 nights & had a wonderful stay, from the moment you enter you feel relaxed. The service throughout our stay was impeccable in all areas of the hotel, staff are very friendly but professional & it is obvious that they want you to enjoy your stay and do everything they can to make this happen. Restaurant meals were excellent with plenty of choices. Our room was on the 1st floor with a balcony, whirlpool bath & shower, it was spotlessly clean. Loved the pool area & having your own small cool box with bottled water was a nice touch. Our holiday consisted of a stay in Matera, Alberobello & Torre Canne & a stay at Canne Bianche finished off our holiday perfectly."

"A large, modern hotel with smart public areas both indoors and out. It is located directly overlooking a modest beach, quite sandy and full of seaweed when we were there. It is an easy walk along it to Torre Canne, though there is little to see there.Our fairly standard room was just about big enough and all areas were clean and mostly well-kept. The lighting in room corridors is painfully bright but I needed to use my phone torch to be safe on the stairs. The lift is a modest size and extremely noisy, creaking and bellowing with every movement; loud enough to disturb you in your room. We found the food to be just about adequate, breakfast products did not seem particularly fresh or of good quality and we gave up on dinner and had our main meal outside the hotel. This is an hotel catering for large tour groups so if you arrive at a mealtime after them the buffet items are quite depleted. On the positive side, tours go out most days so leaving the hotel quiet and lots of room around the pool. Don't feel either service or food warrants the hotel being rated four star, but it is comfortable and relaxing."
