"The front desk staff were extremely nice and welcoming. The breakfast was tasty, and I appreciated the drinks and snacks available to buy at the front. The mattress felt kinda old and there was some weird plastic applicator stuck in the sheets. Overall I feel like it was an okay experience…"

Quality Inn
"Please, and I mean PLEASE, spend the extra money and go to one of the other hotels that are on the same road as the Quality Inn. THIS ONE IS NOT IT! For starters, the pictures online are false advertisement; the hotel/rooms look nothing like the pictures that are posted. When I opened the door to the room, it instantly smelled like smoke and dirt. The toilet had poop streaks in the bowl and when the lid was lifted there was blood on the seat. There was no toilet paper on the roll, just the empty roll, so I was wondering if anyone had even cleaned this bathroom. The shower looks dirty, very old looking and rusty. Make sure you bring your own soap; we got one small bar of soap the size of my pinky finger to wash your hands and body with. The room is extremely old looking and just gives you creepy scary movie vibes. Don't walk on the floor without some slides on or something, your feet will literally look dirty. I will say there were no bugs IN the room, but outside of the doors and through the halls were roaches the size of the bar of soap we were given. The bottom of the door comes up high, so if bugs wanted to come into the room, they could with no problem. The area does not give you safe vibes, people are outside all times of the night hollering and smoking who knows what. A man was passed out and had to get help from someone outside, not sure if they OD'd or what. We ran out of the baby size towels that we were given and when we asked for more, they said they would bring it later because they had no clean laundry (which we never ended up getting by the way). Checkout was at 11AM on Sunday, we were gone by 7:30 AM. I could not wait to sprint out of there.... again PLEASE if you can just add $100 more dollars to what you have, get a room at the Holiday Inn right up the street or somewhere other than this place. This was the worst hotel I've stayed at"

Furniture pieces broken off, no amenities..ask for ice bag(ice bucket Filthy), and an ashtray, did not have!!! And the language barrier??!! how are you supposed to communicate?? Please shut it down!!!!!"
SpringHill Suites Hampton
"The room is spacious and bright, the location is excellent, the supporting facilities are complete, the breakfast is so-so, there is a group of children playing in the hotel corridor at night, it is quite noisy, and no one cares."

Magnolia House Inn
"Absolutely amazing! Owners were spectacular, very pleasant and welcoming, present but not intrusive. They were wealths of information of both history and the city. The house and common areas were spectacularly stocked and clean. The room was incredible, we stayed in the Ellington sweet. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the towels were excellently stocked, absolutely everything was wonderfully clean and comfortable. The house was solidly built and quiet all through, never even heard people walking up and down the stairs with luggage or other doors opening, even in the same sweet with all doors open we could barely hear each other speaking. The ambiance and furniture were magnificent and made us feel home immediately and the whole time we were there. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, a lovely honey almond and spiced peach croissant with turkey bacon, excellent portion excellent coffee spectacular tea. 5 Star lodging and service for 3 star price. We will stay many many more times"
