Kunming Hotels with Swimming Pools

A very nice hotel with friendly service in a good location. It is between two stations on two different lines of the subway with an easy walk about 10-15 minutes either way. There are also a lot of shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk or a short cab ride. The hotel buffet breakfast had a lot of choices with both Chinese and western dishes and very good service. The room was very large and clean and comfortable. Tv had English news channel and the Wi-Fi worked well although I seemed to only be able to log in one device using the same phone number to get a code. The front desk staff spoke English and were very kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Room is large and well equipped. Housekeeping very efficient. Gym small and the guy on the front desk is awful and needs replacing. Breakfast great but only one coffee machine. Location good can walk to Plaza 66 for good restaurants. Worse thing at the hotel is smoking is allowed in All areas-so you eat and sleep in a fug of second hand carcinogens. Yuck Eric Zhang on front desk did not bother to greet me in any way, kept his head down and avoided eye contact 5stAr? Nope

The quality of the floors, finishings, bathroom, excellent. The gym is really nice and the swimming pool is beautiful. The staff members are really friendly and very helpful! My family wanted to take photos with the receiving host at the door who always insisted on opening doors for them and packing their luggage. A very pleasant experience and welcome to china for them. We were passing through Kunming on our way to other places in Yunnan. This was a fine, corporate hotel for a one night stay. It's centrally located, had a clean enough room, was comfortable, and we slept well. Honestly, we don't remember much about our experience there as we stayed at about six hotels after this one. It was the least memorable of the hotels we stayed at however I think this is the hotel's strength: a big, known quantity that has rooms that you could easily imagine if you closed your eyes and thought about it. One thing: the building was a bit old and it seemed every so slightly run down, but still, it was good for what it was.

Though its in the centre of the city, nothing really exciting surrounding the hotel. Need to call taxi to go anywhere. The hotel is well built, with nice style with classic french way. The lobby is big but a bit dark. The room is good size and the best part is the bathroom. It's huge with a very nice tub. It's same as most of the hotels in China, aircon can only tune to 23degree celcisus. Though window can open to get some cool fresh air in, the blanket is still too warm for the weather. Breakfast is on the top notch, even for international standard.

I think we have to keep in consideration that this is probably one of the more luxurious hotels in the city, also you get the prestige of staying within the skyscraper compound, the only skyscraper compound in the city. The hotel is literally next to a food street with LOCAL pricing and a large shopping mall with electrical appliances, a supermarket and lots of other local shoe and clothing brands within it. Not to mention there is an IMAX cinema! The room is large and the bed is super big (larger than king). The entire room is decorated with marble slabs, MBS level materials. Highly recommend you book the breakfast if you do not like or aren't that good with Chinese Breakie. The breakfast spread is pretty good, international and Chinese selection, canned drinks, bottled water. Try the yogurt machine's yogurt, pretty good. Special thanks to Receptionist Anna Ke for the special care during our stay and ultra special thanks to Lester for making the effort to help me receive my Taobao Shipments as I did not have a Chinese Number to facilitate the transaction process. Lester really went out of his way to help us out. Protip: If you are visiting and are looking for cheap souvenirs, tea, clothes, luggages and other essentials, I recommend you Visit Shuang Long Shopping center 双龙商城 (closes at 5pm) The souvenir prices at the old street are pretty much extortion levels after you visit Shuang Long.

The location is excellent. The service is first-rate, and the staff are very friendly and thoughtful. The room is very comfortable, taking into account the needs of children. The hotel's swimming pool and gym are also very good, and the breakfast is rich. Disadvantages include an old TV, a loud impact sound when the cabinet door is closed without buffering, and the bathtub is worried about slipping. But overall, the disadvantages are not enough to outweigh the advantages, and I am willing to stay again next time.

Jerry, the hotel butler, added me on WeChat one day in advance, informed me of the weather in Kunming, upgraded the room type, asked me about my room preference, gave me welcome coffee, and even prepared hot sweet soup and yogurt before bed. There was also a painting made of leaf fragments on the bed! ! I arrived late, and the night bed was already made. It was really thoughtful! Although the hotel is too big and the room is a little far from the lobby, the environment is first-class and it is also enjoyable to walk around more. Next time you come to Kunming, just choose this place directly, lock it!

InterContinental hotel locates near Kunming's DianChi - 滇池 within walking distance. The hotel resort is relatively huge and it took me quite a while from my room to the lobby. So if you hate walking, this maybe something you need to consider. Furthermore, the room facilities are kind out of date especially the toilet which is a minus compared with other 6-star hotel. The restaurant especially the Chinese restaurant is not where you would get local Yunnan flavor, so avoid it if possible. In general, this is a resort hotel which is much better than any of the resort hotels I have visited in the West Coast of US. So I would still recommend it for anyone visiting Kunming, China.

My second time staying in this wonderful hotel. The hotel still remains the best in the city. The hotel comes with a lot of stuff, including all the toiletries, and it is equipped with many different types of drinks. I also enjoyed the view of the hotel. It’s amazing. Downstairs there is a mall with every single type of restaurant that you can find including a Starbucks. The breakfast is also very delicious. It’s a mixture of western and Asian foods.
