Her professional yet friendly demeanor was truly exceptional.
Combined with the hotel's excellent central location, stylish room decor, and a rich, delicious breakfast, the outstanding service quality truly shone through. Emily's genuine service significantly enhanced our 'Spring City' trip and further brightened the reputation of Grand Hyatt Kunming. We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Kunming, and a special thank you to Emily for her dedicated efforts!

MM257108****My friends and their spouses booked two rooms for two nights. The service was exceptionally warm, and the rooms were impeccably clean and tidy. The breakfast offered a rich variety of delicious options, especially the Cross-Bridge Rice Noodles at lunch, which had a rich and flavorful broth. Our two Korean friends were very happy. We also enjoyed a yoga session in the morning, which left us feeling refreshed and comfortable. I recommend staying for at least two days. It's a great place for a quiet and relaxing vacation.

AAnonymous UserThe in-room amenities were surprisingly excellent. I had expected a hotel over a decade old to be quite run-down, but it was incredibly well-maintained. I originally booked this hotel for its convenient location for watching seagulls, but I was genuinely surprised by how fantastic the room facilities were. It was clean, elegant, and high-end – nothing like a hotel that's over ten years old. I had a very comfortable stay; the room was quite spacious, and it even had a balcony with views of greenery and the sunrise.
The hotel's dining was also superb. I tried the breakfast buffet, which was very rich and offered a wide variety of options, with both Chinese and Western dishes done exceptionally well. The hotel package I purchased also included an afternoon tea, which was equally lavish, excellent, and beautifully presented.
I'd like to thank my butler and the lady at the front desk. Even though she was busy checking in six foreigners at the time, she professionally and thoroughly explained all the check-in procedures, as well as details about the restaurant and afternoon tea. Since there was no bellhop available then, she personally escorted us to the lobby to find one and then accompanied us to our room.
The hotel is indeed very large, with a total of seven buildings, making it easy to get lost. Fortunately, the service here is truly top-notch. The bellhops and golf cart drivers were all very professional. They took excellent care of us during both check-in and check-out.

GGuest UserHello everyone. We stayed at this hotel at the end of November 2024. Initially, we booked the hotel for 5 days, then we extended, extended and in the end, we stayed there for 11 nights. The hotel is new, clean. The rooms have good quality robes, toiletries. We were quite satisfied with the breakfasts. We were pleased with the availability of freshly squeezed juices. The main staff does not speak English, but this is not a problem, since the on-line translator saves us, and the staff tries very hard to understand what you want from them. The only person who speaks excellent English was the manager Sam. A man passionate about his work. He told us a lot about the hotel and what is nearby. And there is a lot there: a park with playgrounds, a bungee jump, and a birdhouse with parrots. Sam showed us a place next to the hotel, which is a set for films. Boat station, where you can take a boat and take a walk on the lake and go straight to the hotel grounds. The hotel itself is in a great location, in a lowland, on the shore of the lake. If you plan a trip to Kunming, then it is far from the city. But we needed a quiet and beautiful place. And we got it. With the window open in the evenings and mornings you can hear the fish splashing in the lake and the ducks quacking. It was great to sleep, as the mattress and pillows are of excellent quality. We will definitely come back here and will recommend it to our friends.
P.S. Once again, we say a huge thank you to Sam, he not only told and showed us a lot about the hotel and the surrounding area, he also helped us solve some issues with our luggage at the airport. A wonderful, responsive person. The hotel management is very lucky to have such a person on their team.

2201131****I stayed at this hotel for two nights with my parents, and it was fantastic. The location is superb; Cuihu Park is just a short walk away. While there isn't a dedicated parking lot, the valet service was actually more convenient than parking ourselves. The hotel isn't huge, but it has everything you could possibly need: a gym, laundry room, rooftop pool, and a large observation deck. They offer complimentary snacks in the morning, afternoon, and evening, which was such a thoughtful touch. The service was incredibly comprehensive; they even provided food to feed the red-billed gulls. What's more, after we checked out, they mailed us some of their homemade flower pastries, which were absolutely delicious. This well-managed, high-quality, and high-value hotel is definitely worth recommending and returning to multiple times.

Our stay at Dian Lake Steigenberger Kunming was truly memorable. All the front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, while the housekeeping team was warm and thoughtful. They went the extra mile to decorate our room for my husband's birthday and even sent us a beautiful and delicious birthday cake — a gesture that made our stay feel extra special.
The Lake View King Room (45m²) was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and pillows. We especially loved the balcony overlooking the lake — peaceful and perfect for unwinding.
When we mentioned that our centrally controlled air-conditioning felt a bit warm, 军军 和 Amy immediately offered us an additional room for free, complete with an individual aircon controller so we could adjust the temperature ourselves. This level of care and flexibility was truly impressive.
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of several restaurants, including KFC, and there’s a 7-Eleven just nearby for added convenience. The lobby is also grand and tastefully decorated, giving a luxurious first impression.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kunming — it offers both comfort and heartfelt hospitality.

First off, the location is superb, just a 5-minute walk from the subway station, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The front desk staff were warm and professional, and the check-in process was quick and efficient. The room was spacious and bright, with a modern and minimalist decor that still felt incredibly welcoming. The bedding was incredibly comfortable and soft, allowing me to sleep soundly and wake up naturally feeling refreshed. The bathroom featured a well-designed wet and dry separation, and the toiletries were of excellent quality. Room delivery was also very prompt. The gym was well-equipped, and the swimming pool had crystal-clear water; all these facilities were exceptionally well-maintained. What truly impressed me was the room service; the staff were always smiling and incredibly quick to respond to requests. Such meticulous and attentive service made my stay exceptionally comfortable. I will certainly recommend this hotel to friends for future visits.

PPangxiaozhuyaojianfeiTo be honest, the hotel's hardware is showing its age. Even the executive rooms don't have smart toilets, and the TV screen had a wavy pattern. However, the high floor offers a great view, soundproofing is good, water pressure is high, the toiletries are Lanvin (a French brand acquired by Fosun), the bath towels and hand towels are soft, and there's a good selection of pillows. Overall, the experience was quite positive. Jessica was always on hand to proactively address any potential operational issues.
I only visited the Executive Lounge in the evening, specifically during the happy hour from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. It was quiet, spacious, and had a great view. They offered bottled Carlsberg and Dali beer, white and red wine, coffee, tea bags, Coke, Sprite, soda water, ginger ale, and Perrier. I mainly went for a drink and unexpectedly ran into a foreigner who was on the same flight as me on Friday. Haha, what a coincidence! It was great to have company for drinks, chatting, and complaining.
Also, the young man at the omelet station on Monday morning provided excellent service. He deserves praise for his standard of service, whether it was guiding customers while they waited, providing accurate information, or making the omelet itself.
In short, there are definitely issues – nothing is perfect – so Sofitel Kunming is a good choice. That's why I chose to extend my stay for another night. Cleanliness, quietness, and comfort are what I value most.

TTianjibukexielouadcI just stayed at JEN Kunming, and I have to rave about its gym – it's absolutely one of the most beautiful I've ever seen! It's over 2,000 square meters with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, offering an amazing view of Kunming city while you work out. It really lifts your spirits. All the equipment is top-tier brands like Life Fitness, and they have everything from TRX to yoga mats. The attention to detail is excellent. While the room was a bit compact, amenities like the direct drinking water dispenser and wireless charging were very thoughtful. The location is also fantastic, right next to a subway station, making it convenient to get anywhere. Honestly, I'd come back just for the gym!
