Homestays in Kunming

I was lucky enough to choose this guesthouse for two nights on this trip. The courtyard is beautiful, and it was so relaxing to sit out there and have a beer after a day of sightseeing. The owner's coffee is also delicious. The room facilities are pretty good for a guesthouse, and it was kept very clean. The guesthouse is located right by Dianchi Lake, so it's convenient for a stroll. Our Luoyuhe room was a bit small, and storage space felt a little cramped; I should have booked an upstairs room. Everything else was great, and I'll definitely recommend it to friends and family visiting Kunming.

This hostel in Kunming offers incredible value for money! The common areas are huge, and the terrace view is absolutely stunning. It's so comfortable to sunbathe during the day and enjoy the breeze at night. The place is cleaned very diligently, and the bedding is fresh and odorless. The staff at the front desk are all super enthusiastic and proactively recommend local snacks and travel routes. As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe and secure here!

We had a great one-night stay. The room was clean and spacious, located in a quiet gated community. We arrived around noon and were warmly welcomed by the owner. At the gate, we showed our booking details to security, then walked a short distance to the unit with our luggage. We enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by the in-house chef, and the owner also made us excellent, good quality coffee. The house is very close to Dianchi Lake, just a few steps from the gate. We were able to walk around the lake and even took a cableway across to the Western Hills (Must do). The lake area was also lovely for a nighttime walk. Overall, our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. We wish we had stayed longer. The owner and staff were very friendly and made our stay even more pleasant.😊

Great location! very close to the metro and railway station. we arrived very late in kunming, the staff kindly waited for us, which we really appreciated. the room was clean and had all basic aminities. overall, fine for short stay.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at 26 Life hotel thank to the staffs and its location. What we like most here: 1. Staff: Xiao Bai and Xiao Wan, the 2 receptionists are lovely guys. Xiao Bai pick us up outside of the buiding to help us with the luggage. He is also professional in handling his work. he seems a bit serious on his face but once you know him, he is a nice guy. Xiao Wan is a lovely young boy. We talked a lot, he made us yummy milk tea, bought for us ice crea, fruit tea....and gave us some sourvenir. They are the ones made my stay here. Thank you guys! Moreover the hotel staffs also helped to received a package for me before my check in. 2. Location: it locates on the 4th floor of a building. It has a good location, where we can access easily to the shopping mall, the food stores. There is a small food court on the ground floor of the same building. The 1st store after the stair case once you enter the building sells pretty good noodles. 3. The balcony: my room is 201, with a balcony overlooking the garden on the ground and an open space to the big building in front, which gave us a peaceful corner to sit and talk and enjoy the nice spring weather. 4. The costume: the hotel offers free Miao costume to wear and take photo inside the hotel. Xiao Wan, the receptionist also help to take soem nice photos for us. What should be improved: 1. The cleanliness: the room facilities were a bit old but the cleanliness is definitely something can be changed and improved: like the table in the balcony, which should have been clean the surface. 2. The amenities: the big bath towels are torn out at the 2 edges. They can be reused as footmat or rag to recycle. New bath towel should be seriously considered. 3. The TV: A slow internet connection is causing the TV to stutter and lag, making it impossible to watch.making it not enjoyable to watch.

不错！ The place is clean. The small room is indeed small, but I think its the perfect place to spend a night or two, specially if you need to catch an early train, or you are arriving late. The place is only two blocks away from the 火车站. The neighborhood is also really nice Two problems: 1)Its hard to find. Its a floor inside a residential building. Any local will be able to help you in the end. 2)The walls are thin, and expect people arriving or leaving in the middle of the night. The owner was very nice.

Our room is a converted loft commercial apartment. Many of the adjacent rooms are still unrenovated, making the hallway a bit intimidating. It's on the second floor, with two beds, perfect for our family of four. The door opens with a combination lock, and parking is convenient; the MixC parking lot is directly below. However, if we leave early each morning, we'll need to walk down from the garage entrance and drive. Shopping is also convenient, with MixC directly above, so we can easily find food and daily necessities. Overall, it meets our family's travel needs, and the room is reasonably clean.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Location and Family-Friendly Hotel in Kunming We had a wonderful stay at this hotel during our visit to Kunming. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its perfect location. It is within walking distance to Nanping Street, making it very convenient for shopping, dining, sightseeing, and exploring the city without relying heavily on transportation. The hotel has an elevator, which was extremely helpful for our family, especially when carrying luggage. This made our arrival and departure much easier and more comfortable. The reception staff were friendly, professional, and able to communicate in English, which was a great relief for international travelers. They were always willing to assist and answer our questions, making our stay smooth and hassle-free. The room was spacious, clean, and well-suited for families. We had enough space to relax comfortably after a full day of sightseeing. The beds were comfortable, and the overall environment was quiet and pleasant. For families visiting Kunming, especially those looking for a convenient location near Nanping Street and English-speaking staff, I highly recommend this hotel. It offers great value for money and provides everything needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely choose this hotel again on our next trip to Kunming.

It is very good to rent such a good room at this price in the center of Kunming! There is a park downstairs and the air is very good. The B&B also has housekeepers coming to clean it every day. The room is bright and faces south without any obstruction. It is relatively close to the Baiyun Road subway station of the North Railway Station. The landlord is very enthusiastic and very satisfied! Highly recommend to friends to stay!

This time in this hotel we got the room on the first floor and this room was quite awful. Toilet is stinky and has problems with flushing, the window outside passing all the sounds from the street and it's annoying. Other rooms aren't so bad, but on the first floor better never choose.
