GGuest UserThe hotel location is quite easy to find, and the public areas are well-designed. The room size is moderate, giving an overall spacious feel, and the bathtub is very large. The amenities are comprehensive, including makeup remover wipes and dental floss. The bathing area even has bath salts and face masks, which is a thoughtful touch. The service is excellent; when I urgently needed sanitary pads in the middle of the night, they quickly provided them. Afternoon tea can be delivered to the room, and the late-night snack is much better than what you'd find in many hotel executive lounges, haha.

GGuest UserHello everyone. We stayed at this hotel at the end of November 2024. Initially, we booked the hotel for 5 days, then we extended, extended and in the end, we stayed there for 11 nights. The hotel is new, clean. The rooms have good quality robes, toiletries. We were quite satisfied with the breakfasts. We were pleased with the availability of freshly squeezed juices. The main staff does not speak English, but this is not a problem, since the on-line translator saves us, and the staff tries very hard to understand what you want from them. The only person who speaks excellent English was the manager Sam. A man passionate about his work. He told us a lot about the hotel and what is nearby. And there is a lot there: a park with playgrounds, a bungee jump, and a birdhouse with parrots. Sam showed us a place next to the hotel, which is a set for films. Boat station, where you can take a boat and take a walk on the lake and go straight to the hotel grounds. The hotel itself is in a great location, in a lowland, on the shore of the lake. If you plan a trip to Kunming, then it is far from the city. But we needed a quiet and beautiful place. And we got it. With the window open in the evenings and mornings you can hear the fish splashing in the lake and the ducks quacking. It was great to sleep, as the mattress and pillows are of excellent quality. We will definitely come back here and will recommend it to our friends.
P.S. Once again, we say a huge thank you to Sam, he not only told and showed us a lot about the hotel and the surrounding area, he also helped us solve some issues with our luggage at the airport. A wonderful, responsive person. The hotel management is very lucky to have such a person on their team.

@@LilinjunThis is a very reliable hotel that meets my expectations for quality. The lobby is spacious, and the high ceilings make it feel bright and open as soon as you walk in. I wanted to go for a swim, which is why I chose this place. The pool is on the sixth floor, with separate hot and cold plunge pools for men and women. It wasn't crowded when I went, and the water temperature was just right. My room was on a high floor, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. They also provided welcome fruits and snacks upon arrival. Furthermore, the breakfast was very rich and offered a wide variety of choices, catering to both Chinese and Western tastes. The service was also excellent, from opening the car door upon arrival to delivering luggage to the room, everything was handled very gracefully. This will definitely be my top choice when I visit Kunming again.

Our stay at Dian Lake Steigenberger Kunming was truly memorable. All the front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, while the housekeeping team was warm and thoughtful. They went the extra mile to decorate our room for my husband's birthday and even sent us a beautiful and delicious birthday cake — a gesture that made our stay feel extra special.
The Lake View King Room (45m²) was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and pillows. We especially loved the balcony overlooking the lake — peaceful and perfect for unwinding.
When we mentioned that our centrally controlled air-conditioning felt a bit warm, 军军 和 Amy immediately offered us an additional room for free, complete with an individual aircon controller so we could adjust the temperature ourselves. This level of care and flexibility was truly impressive.
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of several restaurants, including KFC, and there’s a 7-Eleven just nearby for added convenience. The lobby is also grand and tastefully decorated, giving a luxurious first impression.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kunming — it offers both comfort and heartfelt hospitality.

SScriusIf you're traveling with kids, this is the place to be! They'll be so engrossed, you won't hear a peep from them. The garden and children's playground are absolutely fantastic. Seeing the kids happy is what matters most. Plus, the hotel is close to Dianchi Lake, just a 10-minute taxi ride away. You can go see the seagulls and take a stroll. It's pure bliss!

YYongganxixiMy parents and I have been traveling for a month now, and this Wanda hotel is their absolute favorite – they even said I have great taste in choosing hotels! The front desk staff were so patient and attentive. The room layout was well-designed and spacious. The hot springs were incredibly relaxing, and the environment was absolutely top-notch. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, a feast for the eyes! You can stay, eat, splash around in the shallow pools, and enjoy a comfortable hot spring soak. It was just so enjoyable!

DDiana AldereiWe recently stayed at this hotel with my husband and had quite a mixed experience – some parts were truly lovely, while others left us a bit disappointed.
First of all, the villa itself was absolutely beautiful and incredibly spacious. The natural hot spring water was one of the highlights of our stay — such a relaxing and unique experience. The surrounding territory is also well-maintained and very peaceful, perfect for disconnecting and enjoying nature.
However, it’s important to note that the location is quite remote — it took us around an hour to get to places where we could eat or enjoy a cup of coffee. This is understandable considering the mountain setting and access to hot springs.
The afternoon tea was decent, and although lunch wasn’t included in our stay, we tried the local mixian noodles and they were absolutely delicious! Must try! Unfortunately, breakfast was disappointing, especially for guests like us who don’t eat pork or pork oil - there were very few options.
A few maintenance and cleanliness issues also affected our stay. The outdoor pool was not super clean, some insects were swimming there. While we really loved the hot spring bathtub in the villa, the facilities could use a bit more upkeep. The toilet setup was quite basic — a minimum upgrade like a bidet spray or shower toilet would make a big difference, especially for international or Muslim guests.
A more distressing part of our stay was that we found dead insects under the blanket in our bed after returning to our room one evening 🥲 I do appreciate the staff’s polite and kind response – they offered tea and explained it may have fallen from the ceiling – but for someone with a strong phobia of insects, this made it difficult to sleep and really affected my comfort. I do believe this is something that should be taken more seriously, especially in a hotel of this level.
Despite these issues, the staff was very polite, cute and extremely helpful & friendly, and I can see the potential for a truly magical experience here with just a few improvements. I really wanted to love everything — and part of me did — but I was also happy to go back home, just to feel more comfortable and relaxed.

MmumuThe environment is decent, but the location is really out of the way with hardly any food options and limited delivery services. I ordered late-night supper from the hotel's own restaurant, and it was terrible – cold and, more importantly, unsanitary. I ate it around 10 PM, and by 2 AM, I was violently throwing up and had diarrhea. Couldn't even get medicine delivered in the middle of the night. I toughed it out until morning, took some meds, but didn't feel better, so I ended up in the ER getting an IV drip.
I was supposed to be on vacation, and now I'm definitely not coming back. For a hotel costing over 3000, this level of quality is just unacceptable. Ended up with acute gastroenteritis. Seriously speechless.
