In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. For guests traveling alone, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.
"The Youth Hostel is located in Kunming Old Street. The location is very convenient and the service is very good. It will provide disposable toiletries. The bathroom is equipped with a washing machine. The lobby activity area is large and there are storage cabinets. The boss is very good, will take the initiative to send detailed check-in instructions, will personally introduce the location layout, specially remind you to stay quiet at 10 o'clock in the morning and 11 o'clock in the evening, and will reply soon if there is something to send a message. When I came, I encountered a cold. Sister Yuan also helped to add a quilt and recommended girls to play."

GGuest UserLocation was great that it was a walk away from the Kunming Railway Station where I needed to be to leave the city. I liked how it was near a lot of food places! The volunteer Evens was an interesting person to talk to when I learned about his background in what he does as an occupation and where he is originally from in China. The owner Winni was a nice person as well and I appreciated and enjoy her and some of the other guests that cooked for us the night that we had a big dinner. Thank you for being part of the chef crew Winni. Everybody who stayed at the place was respectful and considered towards one another in the way that they conducted themselves. Was able to go along with the rules of this hostel because it fit my daily habits. Nobody had any habits that bothered me.
Not really into the hostel type of stays, due to lack of privacy. Was just happy to stay at this place since it was pretty much right at the doorstep of the Kunming Railway station where I can catch my train on time where I wouldn't end up getting lost in the city which in turn would end up missing it.
The only negative thing that I didn't like was that the bathroom did not have bath towels and just regular hand towels where I would not be able to dry myself very well after showering. Because of this I didn't want to take a shower at this place and the fact that these towels were used repeatedly from other guests, which made me feel uncomfortable wanting to use it. Would come back to this Hostel again if I happen to have to come back to Kunming again where I needed to be near this train station to catch at train there.

GGuest UserThe apartment is very clean, it's been cleaned every day. Bed is comfortable and bedroom is quiet. Living room is beautiful. The owner is friendly, helpful and hard working woman. Location is near railway station and there is a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood. Thank you for hosting me!

GGuest UserI booked the Single room because I wanted to have a calm night but I also wanted to socialise that’s why I booked a hostel. First of all the receptionist was the cutest! She helped me with everything and was so kind. My room was big and the view from the balcony was spectacular. BUT the bed was really really really hard. You could feel the metal feather coming through. The receptionist gave me a few blankets to make the bed softer which helped. But if you are a sensitive sleeper I can’t recommend. In the end I slept better than expected. But keep in mind, it’s still a hostel. So, you will hear doors being shut regularly. If you are sensitive this will wake you up. The hostel itself is really cute and nice! The views are amazing. If you want to meet locals this is the perfect place. I didn’t meet any other foreign travelers here though. You can also wash and cook here. So all in all it’s a good and cheap hostel IF you are not a sensitive sleeper.

KKa-LaLaLaIt is our own fault but we did not realise that this was so far out of the city and at the entrance gate of a cultural Stockade. The host was helpful but there was a bit of an odour from the bathroom.  if your purpose to stay here is to see the cultural stock then this would be a good location but there are no restaurants nearby.  There was a nice view from our window of the lake and some beautiful traditional architecture to walk around and see in the area.

PPangyudagegagagaThe room was quite spacious, fitting four people comfortably. Everyone was quiet and respectful. The staff members were all very accommodating. It's super convenient for shopping and getting around, with a mall right nearby. I booked it for an afternoon nap before catching my train, and the front desk staff was lovely – they even let me check in early! Loved it, loved it.

GGuest UserThis hostel is really great and the boss is good. I highly recommend everyone especially foreigners to make contact with the boss prior to arriving so you don’t get lost like me🤣🤣. I called the boss via trip.com app, and he replied to me straight away. He is very good at responding and quickly helped me. The hostel is thoroughly cleaned and has a kitchen. The location is great. The boss also recommended me some places I can visit in Kunming.

As I was arriving at KMG airport at 2 in the morning, she woke up when a kind fellow Chinese called her on my behalf, and she came downstairs to pick me up and helped me with my heavy luggage. She's so kind and the room is so cute, that I decided I'd extend my stay here for almost a week!!! Feels like home. Some of the kids who live here longer are amazing and very helpful as well!!! I really enjoyed my stay

PPuteri KhalidaIf you just waiting for train or would like to stay for a short period of time and didnt care about the toilet, you can stay here. The toilet is outside, for us its creepy to go to toilet at night due to dim light and we had to go all of us. Overall since we waiting for our train early in the morning, it really helps us in short of time since we can just walked.
