GGuest UserThe hotel location is quite easy to find, and the public areas are well-designed. The room size is moderate, giving an overall spacious feel, and the bathtub is very large. The amenities are comprehensive, including makeup remover wipes and dental floss. The bathing area even has bath salts and face masks, which is a thoughtful touch. The service is excellent; when I urgently needed sanitary pads in the middle of the night, they quickly provided them. Afternoon tea can be delivered to the room, and the late-night snack is much better than what you'd find in many hotel executive lounges, haha.

Details:
Experiences: stay includes three free experiences a day - morning yoga, afternoon sound bath meditation, evening aromatherapy. Had to rearrange my schedule a little to fit these in but I highly highly recommend going for them, the teachers were lovely and welcoming, and you might even end up with a ”private lesson” if you're the only person for that session! Especially recommend the morning yoga, the teacher was so kind and willing to customise the session to fit my experience level, and it was an amazing way to start the day and end my trip :)
Service: excellent, staff were young and enthusiastic and always willing to advise or lend a helping hand.
Amenities: included breakfast was excellent, decent range and variety - the rice noodles were great! The room was spacious, clean, and airy with good views, and I loved the little touches like the aroma diffuser and teapot set. The teahouse and pool were especially unique touches!
Location: easy to get around by car, drivers had no problem picking me up. There's a lovely park right opposite that runs along Dianchi Lake (滇池) towards the bay (海埂大坝) and from there you can take the cable car to Xishan (西山景区). About 20 minutes by car to Kunming Train Station (昆明站) and 40 minutes by car to Kunming Airport (昆明长水机场).

YYinyuezouqiThe room layout was stunning, truly reflecting a designer brand's touch. The TV screen was massive, and the two large floor-to-ceiling windows at the corner offered incredibly open views. The amenities provided were also top-notch. What really stood out was the impeccable butler service. They contacted me in advance to ask about my needs, and knowing I was driving, they even sent me the parking location, saving me a lot of hassle. They also gave detailed directions to Dounan Flower Market (it's not far, but you need to follow road regulations, which makes it feel a bit longer). There was one minor issue: even though we were on the 28th floor, the noise from passing cars on the road at night still affected my sleep quality.

GGuest UserExtremely satisfied! The staff were very welcoming. Had a great chat with the driver during the airport transfer. The room facilities are brand new, and despite being right by the elevator, it was incredibly quiet – totally disagree with some reviews saying it's noisy, the soundproofing is excellent. Plus, breakfast starts before 7 AM, which is perfect! Very happy with my stay!

YyarawuWe feel very happy to stay in this hotel, because the location is convenient and close to the metro with plenty of restaurants and shops.
The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. The rooms we stayed in were very clean and the shower facility was excellent with temperature control. They even upgraded a room with a bath tub for us. The breakfast served was good with coffee, soya milk, tea, noodles soups, bread etc etc.

Our stay at Dian Lake Steigenberger Kunming was truly memorable. All the front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, while the housekeeping team was warm and thoughtful. They went the extra mile to decorate our room for my husband's birthday and even sent us a beautiful and delicious birthday cake — a gesture that made our stay feel extra special.
The Lake View King Room (45m²) was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and pillows. We especially loved the balcony overlooking the lake — peaceful and perfect for unwinding.
When we mentioned that our centrally controlled air-conditioning felt a bit warm, 军军 和 Amy immediately offered us an additional room for free, complete with an individual aircon controller so we could adjust the temperature ourselves. This level of care and flexibility was truly impressive.
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of several restaurants, including KFC, and there’s a 7-Eleven just nearby for added convenience. The lobby is also grand and tastefully decorated, giving a luxurious first impression.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kunming — it offers both comfort and heartfelt hospitality.

SSarah from ItalyThis was by far the BEST accommodation we stayed in China!! We booked two rooms because I'm travelling with my sister and her boyfriend.
Both rooms were extremely clean, the best comfortable beds ever, hot shower, air con, all the toiletries were good quality and the staff were amazing!!!!
They helped us out with everything!! Even though they don't speak English or any other language (like elsewhere in China), they were extremely helpful and we managed to communicate with the translator.
We stayed two nights but we would have loved to stay longer which was not possible because visa's expiring soon.
When we got there, they made us delicious noodles with beef and vegetables and my brother in law is still dreaming to get the same tasty noodles somewhere else in China 😊
We don't know the names of the hosts, maybe they are wife and husband (we are not sure) but surely this was the top accommodation and treatment we have received in China so we would like to thank you two again for everything you have done for us. We are sure your next guests will enjoy their stay at your place just the same as we did.

MMunanxiziA wonderful hideaway for a hot spring getaway. The private courtyard comes with its own hot tub, or you can switch things up and use the public pools. In the evenings, you can catch a stunning sunset, and the Ancient Dian Kingdom Museum is right across the way. The villa's amenities are top-notch, and it's very clean, even including a private sauna. There weren't any bugs this season, which made it a super comfortable and relaxing spot for a few friends to unwind. The breakfast and dinner at the mountaintop restaurant are both excellent, and they do Western dishes really well too!

PPuttakrongThe location is great.About 10 min drive to Changshui airport. They have free airport transfer. We arrive airport at 22.30 and they still have free transfer service( have to notify them earlier). Although we arrive in late night, there are many street food and convenient store nearby that still open. I love this.
One problem is the electric in my room is not stable. It was on and off all night.

GGuest UserWe had a great one-night stay. The room was clean and spacious, located in a quiet gated community. We arrived around noon and were warmly welcomed by the owner. At the gate, we showed our booking details to security, then walked a short distance to the unit with our luggage.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by the in-house chef, and the owner also made us excellent, good quality coffee. The house is very close to Dianchi Lake, just a few steps from the gate. We were able to walk around the lake and even took a cableway across to the Western Hills (Must do). The lake area was also lovely for a nighttime walk.
Overall, our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. We wish we had stayed longer. The owner and staff were very friendly and made our stay even more pleasant.😊
