I stayed at Manny's for one day, and it's a very clean and refreshing hotel. The facilities are well-maintained, and the room has all the disposable amenities you could need, including slippers and toilet seat covers. The hygiene is excellent, and the cleaning staff even tidied up and replenished supplies during my extended stay. The location is super convenient; it's just a 10-15 minute walk to the farmer's market for fresh fruit. The breakfast in the morning is extensive, and the front desk arranged a wake-up call and more. I'm very satisfied with this stay.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is in a great location, about a ten-minute walk from Cuihu Lake and also a ten-minute walk from Kunming Old Street, though in a different direction. There are many local eateries nearby, and shared electric bikes are very convenient. The room was very clean, no mosquitoes, and the hotel service was excellent. It was also quiet at night, so I slept well.

AAnn KLHighly recommend the Duplex Two-bedroom parent-child room if you are travelling with children. The room is cosy and comes with thoughtful, kid-friendly amenities such as a potty seat, two-step stepper, room slipper, Lego, soft toys, etc. The staff are also friendly and helpful when I requested some help with returning the power bank even when I arrived at the hotel at almost 10pm. Additionally, there is a wide selection of breakfast for you to preorder in advance. Truly enjoyed our stay here.

东东东88We had an excellent stay at Kai Wah, with a few instances really worth mentioning.
Firstly, we had a super early flight and reached the hotel at 5plus in the morning. We checked in and wonder if we are able to check in for the stay at such early hours. Without needing to ask, the service staff immediately arranged a room for us to check in, even though the typical check in time is 2pm onwards. They understood that we were tired from the flight and quickly make arrangements so that we can get some rest. This is an exceptional service that illustrates understanding and care for their customers.
Secondly, upon checking into the room, we observed that the toilet bowl was a little dirty and called the reception. Immediately, a service staff named 李星Jeff Li, came to our room and made arrangements to offer us a free upgrade to a suite. However, as we prefer a room that is not situated at the corner, we declined. He then made other arrangements on the spot and offered us another room. He even helped us to transfer the luggages. We needed some advice for the trip and he willingly and patiently offered us advice and assistance. His friendliness and patience with us really made our stay very pleasant. His professionalism and care for his guests are commendable.
Finally, when we checked out, the service staff also warmly helped us with the didi booking to the right place. My mum was even given a scarf as little present, which really made her day.
Breakfast was really good, huge variety and quality was good too. Suggest to include breakfast in your booking.

GGuest UserA very warm treasure hotel. Our family received souvenirs and welcome tea as soon as we arrived at the hotel, which was very ceremonial. Because there were not many tourists, the hotel seemed particularly secluded. Whether it was the private soup in the courtyard or the Pu'er tea, they were all of very high quality. The children enjoyed feeding the seagulls every day. The food was a little simple during the Spring Festival. A male waiter in the restaurant (forgot his name) was very enthusiastic. The green vegetables were all from the hotel's own vegetable garden, which was very natural. The back door of the hotel leads directly to Yangzonghai Shijiazui Park, and the scenery is invincible. In short, I was very satisfied. Thanks to the housekeeper for his meticulous service. Five-star praise. Recommended to travelers who like to relax and get close to nature.
MM294768****The location is superb, very close to the subway station, making it convenient to go anywhere. The pillows and bed are very comfortable to sleep on. The front desk service is excellent; all my requests were quickly and clearly handled. I love Kunming so much; it was a fantastic travel experience.

LLuxiangbeibeiMy friend highly recommended this place, saying the area is fantastic and super convenient, and the shuttle service was a huge plus. The shuttle service to/from the South High-Speed Rail Station was excellent. Overall, the service was truly impeccable, and there are plenty of great dining options nearby. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip.

AAnonymous UserThe location of the hotel is excellent; it's just outside the metro station, which is 40 mins away from the airport.
The hotel is quiet, even though it is not far from the main road, and one can hardly hear any traffic noise.
From the hotel, it is easy to get to attractions such as Kunming Ming Old Street. Green Lake, and the Kunming City Museum. 2 malls, Sping City 66 and Kunming Mixc, with different types of cuisine, are between 10 to 20 minutes by foot from the hotel.
The hotel is less than 2 years old, and is clean and well-maintained. The gym is big enough for one to engage in CrossFit training.
Special mention goes to Sally, the duty manager, and two front desk staff, Remy and Annie, for their assistance on the day of my check-out. I appreciate their professionalism and the extra mile they went to help me with my final bill.
GGuest UserThe hotel is newly renovated, the room is very comfortable, there is a snack street downstairs, it is convenient, the hotel service is very good, and it is also very close to the high-speed rail. Relatively speaking, it is comfortable to stay and the experience is good. You can choose this hotel if you are transiting nearby!

PPsymondDespite the convenient location, comfortable beds, and all-important quiet sleep we managed to get, the hotel's communication to arrange our pick up from the train station at night and what turned out to be a self-check-in was just dismal, clearly needing more training to ensure better organisation for future guests. The following constructive advice is to help the hotel improve and for (particularly foreign) guests to note:
1. Ask for guests' phone number and inform the driver well in advance of our arrival, instead of waiting till the very last minute to do so. We reached out to the hotel via WeChat the day before and rightfully received detailed instructions (in Chinese) to find the driver (the pick up service is actually outsourced to a separate company using 3 different vans), but once we found the van, the driver angrily insisted we call the hotel to identify us by confirming our phone number - we were not allowed to board without the hotel's confirmation, which should have been done directly with the driver well in advance of our arrival.
2. This hotel is not manned after hours, let alone 24 hours, so please make it known well beforehand that we will have to check in ourselves if arriving after hours, and provide clear instructions on how to do so instead of communicating them through the phone while guiding us using the security cameras. It is not the guests' responsibility to do your administrative work (to report ourselves to the authorities by scanning the police QR code and filling out our details) at 11 o'clock at night when we have an early morning train to catch the following day. The hotel should allow guests to enter the room as soon as possible upon arrival, not have us wait half an hour while they struggle with what was clearly their first time checking in foreign guests - worse still over the phone - insisting that this be done before we could enter our room.
3. If the hotel truly wants the patronage of foreign guests, they will have to prioritise our convenience and comfort over theirs by actually having someone check us in in-person. Remotely doing so to save costs is as absurd as expecting foreign guests to communicate our details over the phone, sending photos of ourselves, our passport details etc. via WeChat, and then finding our room card and the room by talking to someone over the phone in Chinese. At the very least, these requirements and instructions should be clearly produced and communicated beforehand so that nothing is improvised.
We hope the above experience helps improve what is a decent hotel providing good value for money.
