The Silk House ★★

"We booked here for a last minute visit to Alton Towers. We had the family room and were surprised that there was two televisions as well as a playstation for the children. The owner was nice with my two children and even gave my inquisitive children a tour of the old building. We went to eat at the Wetherspoons that is on the same street, one of the better ones, and will be back."

Premier Inn Leek Town Centre ★★★

"Lovely hotel with easy walk to main area of Leek. Ideal place to stay for our trip to Alton Towers. Rooms were extremely clean and cosy. Beds were very comfortable. Very good value for money too. I had read that parking was limited but we were able to get parked both times after we left the car park. It was £9 for 24hours and payment was on departure. Only downside was that our 2 rooms (for a family of 5) were on different floors of the hotel. Also the room above our 2nd floor room was noisy in the early hours of the morning with someone stomping around and having no respect for others at that time of the night. One the whole, a lovely hotel and a good experience for our children."
