"This hotel is close to the airport which is fine for us because of the cancellation of our flight back home.
The weather was bad at night with heavy rain and we heated that in our room through the drain of the airconditioning. Which is a bad design and old dated.
Also check-in required a written registration of a credit card including security code on paper which is a very old dated process and prone for fraud."

"Fantastic space, a pleasant weekend that provided a spectacular weekend.
Since arrival at the very careful reception, the availability to help, like in the dining room where we were very well received, is ready with very fantastic service accompanied by excellent food.
The rooms were very clean with a babe arrival can provide a fantastic night, in the morning we found a wonderful buffet accompanied by a very performing staffer ready to help, We finally enjoy a very clean space near the pool and offering fantastic moments.
It will certainly be a place to return and recommend."

"Great hotel! We really enjoyed our holiday at the hotel. It's a whole city! There's a promenade and several swimming pools. The food is top notch! You can have a buffet, you can go to restaurants, and there's even a coffee shop with delicious coffee! We spent our evenings at the bar, drinking delicious cocktails and dancing. There's a beautiful trail nearby - Cape Sao Lourenco. There's a shuttle to Funchal, which is very convenient. We'll definitely come back again!"

"There seems to be a small problem with the booking, which is why I was stayed in another hotel. Since it was late in the evening, the hotel owner drived me. That was incredibly nice from him. This is why I can't report so much about this hotel except the friendliness of the staff."

Upon arriving, you will quickly fall in love with the natural, peaceful and picturesque character that so characterize this village. The daily life in the village of Porto da Cruz is oblivious to the stress or movement of large cities and here time seems to have stopped.
During your stay, you will be able to visit the old sugar cane factory, which has been operating in the same way since 1927. Also not to be missed is the place known as Penha d'Águia, an imposing rock that separates Porto from Cruz from Faial. Getting to the top of this magnificent rock formation can become a real challenge as the access is winding and steep, but the birdsong will help you along the route. When you are finished, you will be sure it was really worth it because the views from the top of Penha D’Águia are absolutely stunning!
This village is also famous for its wines, known as American dry wine. This local product is the theme for a party that takes place in early September (Wine Festival).
