The hotel staff provided excellent service, even calling to check on me when I arrived late. My room had air conditioning and a humidifier. Even though it was listed as having no window or an interior window, it wasn't a window facing a wall, but rather a narrow lightwell. The cleanliness was acceptable, and the hot water was quick to respond. Breakfast was available and decent. It pretty much matched the official photos."

"This was by far the most comfortable night we spent on our trip. The hotel organizes stargazing tours, so I recommend arriving early to rest up before heading out with the hotel at 11:30 PM to see the Milky Way. The hotel is incredibly quiet, with excellent facilities, and standalone rooms. The pillows were very comfortable, and the hotel restaurant's stir-fries were delicious – highly recommended! It's about ten kilometers from Heidu Mountain, so you can be among the first to enter in the morning, avoiding the midday sun and overcrowded peaks."

"We specifically detoured to Mangya Emerald Lake during our Qinghai-Gansu loop, and even though it was a long drive, it was absolutely worth it. It's a stunning salt lake. We did the route in reverse, starting from Dunhuang to Mangya. The hotel was very clean, comparable to a large chain hotel, and quite comfortable. The only downside, which seems to be a common issue, is the poor soundproofing – it gets noisy when people talk in the hallway. We unfortunately had a group making noise past midnight. Overall, the hotel is still good. There's a local market nearby where you can find food, drinks, and fruits, which was perfect for our dinner and breakfast."
