Hotel Africa
"Clean enough to stay more than a week. If only varieties of breakfast would be better."
Meliá Maputo Sky
"The room was a bit small, and the sheets had flea bites all over them. The gym next door was nice, and there was a large supermarket nearby."
Onomo Hotel Maputo
"The room is small, the location is excellent, and it is convenient for traveling. The breakfast is not bad!"
White Garden Hotel
"First and last time even calling to confirm check in and without a doubt They should start by teaching how to answer a hotel's contact number. (Which after some arguments went from being a business center to a white garden hotel) And finally I was advised to cancel the already paid reservation without a refund. have any notion of hospitality or do not know how to identify the contact number they issue on the website."
Maputo AFECC Gloria Hotel
"The hotel's hardware facilities are very good, but the software needs to be more professional."
Hotel Tivoli Maputo
"The Tivoli Maputo Hotel is located in the city center of Maputo, close to the central train station and its train museum (CFM), the "casa de ferro" and the Mozambique Bank Museum. You can easily walk to the Maputo Shopping Center in 5 minutes or go to the malls by taxi or Yango (the Uber of Mozambique). The hotel is very clean, large and the staff speaks perfect English and is very friendly. The room is spacious with a bathtub in the bathroom, toiletries and a hairdryer. The room has a large bed, a TV, a kettle with tea and coffee available. Walking around the hotel is safe but note that there is no money changer nearby. My stay was very good and I would be happy to stay at this hotel again."
Hotel Mirava
"The hotel's location is excellent. It's located in the city center. The city's best beaches are a 20-minute taxi ride away, costing 185-250 MTK. The beach is called Costa do Sol. The central market is a 20-minute walk away. The airport is a 12-15-minute taxi ride, costing 150-200 MTK. The Wi-Fi worked well. The breakfast was delicious. You won't go hungry until lunch. The reception staff was welcoming."
Polana Serena Hotel
"The classic hotel overlooks Maputo Bay as soon as you open the door, and the sea breeze is very comfortable."
VIP Executive Suites Maputo
"Excellent for a stay."

Hotel VIP Grand Maputo
"It was generally good."
Hotel Avenida
"The staff were exceptionally courteous and professional. I felt really welcome from check in to check out. The room was so tidy and quiet and the breakfast was amazing. They serve really good coffee. The location is also great with good restaurants nearby. I had an ultimate rest because the bed was soooo good."
Oryx Maputo
"This place is a real gem. It is so clean, modern and spacious and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The location is also so central and convenient with a supermarket on the same block and cafes within walking distance. But the real highlight for me was how incredible the staff treated us. No matter what the issue was, they were ready to help solve it for us. The manager, Yuri, went out of his way to ensure we were taken care of and happy with our stay. I cannot recommend Oryx enough. I will definitely return to this beautiful hotel whenever I am next in Maputo!"
Pestana Rovuma
"The hotel is very well located, close to the cathedral, with easy access by car. It is a traditional hotel with good facilities, but the service leaves a lot to be desired and the breakfast is not satisfactory. There are very few fruit, cheese and cold cuts options, or rather, there is only one type of each. As for the service, I asked for a towel for the pool, I had to repeat the order 3 times and the towel only arrived after 30 minutes, when I was already leaving the pool area. At reception the information is not always accurate. The bar was often without an attendant. To get a simple bottle of water you had to wait 5 minutes or more for the attendant."
Hotel Kapital
"went to Hotel Capital at around 3:30 PM because I needed to use the internet. Mr. Carlos informed me that in order to use the internet, I had to make a purchase, which was completely fine with me. However, I only needed to send one urgent email. Throughout the entire interaction, Mr. Carlos treated me very poorly. His responses were rude and dismissive, and his attitude was unprofessional. I was extremely disappointed with the way he handled the situation. At some point, other gentlemen arrived, and his behavior toward them was completely different — much more respectful and welcoming. That made me feel very uncomfortable and quite saddened. I also overheard some staff members shouting that “this is not an office.” I found that unnecessary and inappropriate, especially considering I only needed a few minutes to send an urgent email. I paid my bill without any issue. I believe Mr. Carlos seriously needs to improve his customer service skills, as his attitude was unacceptable. On the other hand, the reception staff were very kind and professional."
Guesthouse Malagueta Inn I
"The Malaguetta Inn is very conveniently located in the Polana Cimento A district and all of the city's attractions can be easily reached from there either on foot or by taking a short taxi ride. The entrance is hidden next to a bar on a fairly busy street corner. The area is considered safe, there are lots of vendors on the square in front of the Inn, but they are not at all pushy. The few rooms in the Inn (why there are I and II is not clear to us) are on the first floor in a hallway. The furnishings are very imaginative, lovingly made (is flower power the right term), the rooms are simple but functional, have A/C, mosquito nets, a desk, an open shelf (no closet) and good lighting. In our case the toilet/shower was outside the room and actually only intended for us, now and then another roommate was there too. The location is in a courtyard between high-rise buildings, so there is no view, but also little noise (except when there is a loud party on the terrace next door on the weekend). The price-performance ratio is absolutely right, the owners are very friendly and accommodating."
