Aminess Vival Maestral Hotel

Aminess Vival Maestral Hotel

📍 Terre 2, Novigrad
★★★★ 8.8 (61 reviews)

"Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in . Service shocking , cleanliness issues , does not enforce smoking guidance especially in restaurant . Management amateur - definitely not even 2 star. Food cold and they put hot food on top of cold. Inadequate number of public area toilets which led to lack of cleanliness . Rooms were not even as good as a travel lodge !"

"The hotel was perfectly located, the beach was in front of the hotel, kids enjoyed mini golf. Nice trees at the front, also the outdoor swimming pool was excellent. We enjoyed very much"

📍 Kastanija 2, Novigrad
★★★★ 9.1 (24 reviews)

"An excellent hotel in front of the ocean with a great and personalized service. The breakfast is a high quality experience. I recommend the eggs Benedict and the charcuterie. The swimming pool is very nice and quiet, and beaches near by are very friendly. It is a great location in Novigrad, close to multiple great towns and cities (in Croatia and other countries). The personnel is excellent and will help you with any need you have: reservations, recommendations, attractions, etc. do not doubt it and enjoy it."

"Disappointing experience – inflexible and unaccommodating I had booked a two-night stay but had to adjust my plans unexpectedly after the first night. I reached out to amend the reservation, but the hotel showed zero flexibility and insisted on charging the full amount, despite clear communication and a genuine effort to find a fair solution. Rigid policies are one thing, but the complete lack of understanding or goodwill was disappointing. This kind of customer service leaves a lasting negative impression — I won’t be returning, and I would advise other travelers to be cautious if your plans might need any adjustment."

Blu Mare Hotel

📍 Ulica Zidine, Via delle Mura 14, Novigrad
★★★★ 9.4 (37 reviews)

"The hotel is nice and small. The rooms spacious and homey. The food is ok, for a four star hotel. What was nit so great was the service. Wrong order at breakfast. And in the evening we had to ask to get drinks served. Four people were running from the bar to dining room and back and in 15 minutes no one asked if we wanted something. After the waiter took his time he shouted over from the bar instead of coming to ask what we wanted to drink. Somehow not what I expected from this hotel."

"Great hotel, perfect location. I recommend the apartment upstairs - a private place with a jacuzzi and a beautiful view of the sea. Professional hotel service. A very good restaurant. Special thanks to the lovely lady (blonde) from the bar"

Hotel Makin

📍 Šaini 2A, Novigrad
★★★ 8.5 (1 reviews)

"Family-owned, with a friendly/cosy approach. Nice, relatively spacious rooms. Small pool/gym/tanning dome available (not used). Excellent free parking. No balcony- difficult to dry beach towels/wet clothes. Good, hearty breakfast, but whatever was labelled 'coffee' was anything else but coffee. Garden/breakfast outdoor area infested with some blood-sucking insects (not mosquitoes, something worse!). WiFi decent only in reception, practically non-existent elsewhere. 12mins to beach (Pebbly- if not rightward boulderly- and relatively narrow, though never overcrowded (cca 8Aug). Beach shoes a must. Sunbeds ('gazebos') 30EURs- almost useless due to pine forest vicinity. Plenty (almost overwhelming) small children, no problem unless stone throwing seems to be the local sport. 25mins to downtown (nearest decent option for dinner)- awkward when heavy raining. "

Laguna Maradiso Hotel by Aminess ★★★
"We've spent a weekend in the Maradiso hotel and we enjoyed it. The hotel itself is a bit old-fashioned, but it was a nice stay, the surrounding area is fabulous and the hotel's pool is great - they clean it every night with robot vacuum and staff cleans the surroundings thoroughly every morning! Food was average, but for a short stay absolutely fine. They served great coctails which we could take to the pool area in nice coctail type plastic glasses not regular ones, which leveled up the feeling! There are opportunities to play games, like mini golf in the camp area. I'd recommend the place."

Boutique Hotel Nautica - Spa & Wellness, Private Parking, Pet Friendly ★★★★
"What a location for visiting Novigrad! Parking, a pleasant short walk to downtown, and views over the large marina from our terrace. The room was very spacious, large sitting area with a small fridge, nice bathroom, large bedroom - and all with views (even a small window in the bath). The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when we asked advice about which wineries to visit. The selection of breakfast items was generous, we said it was a German-style breakfast: cold cuts, cheeses, fruit, cereals, yogurts, sausages, pastries and breads - and you can make your own espresso or Americano coffee, as well as having a choice of teas. We would have given a five-star rating except for the lack of air conditioning two of the four nights we stayed. Apparently we arrived just as the heat system was being switched to air conditioning and there was a glitch; not the hotel's fault but it was 26 degrees C in our room two. nights, and with no screens we didn't want to open windows. Everything else was wonderful, though, and we would stay here again."

Rivalmare Beach Boutique Hotel ★★★★
"Lovely boutique hotel right on the water. If we come back to Novigrad, we will definitely return here. The staff is very professional, courteous, polite, and helpful. Suite has – private elevator to room from lobby; sauna (which we did not use); living room with sliding glass door to deck with frig; bathroom with (very tight fit shower) and door to deck; large bedroom with shelving, safe, and sliding glass door to deck; full length of suite deck with hot tub, sunbeds, and table overlooking west view of sea. Lovely turquoise blue and white color scheme; very clean. The bed had German style individual duvets. The shower is half of the tub with a movable partial glass “door” over the tub that makes for a very tight squeeze, with a sloped tub floor down to the drain on the opposite side of the tub; the tub floor is very slippery. The water pressure is not good and the shower is hard to use.The air conditioning works very well. There is not an assigned parking space; we had to park in a very tight fit at the marina about a ten minute walk away but the car was safe. The hot tub on the deck is marvelous at sunset. Check it when you first arrive – the lid was off and the water was very cold (because the lid was off, which the hotel person did not seem to understand), so we closed it up and turned the temperature up so we could use it the next day. The breakfast is buffet, with a small selection. There is not much of anything that is healthy (low calorie / low fat) other than the cherry tomatoes used as garnish on other offerings. Fruit is “whole”, not cut up or sliced. Bread is pretty stale (sliced, not rolls). The outdoor terrace is wonderful – across the pedestrian path and in a covered glass building right on the water. The a la carte omelettes are very good. The hotel is right on the pedestrian path along the water, with a cement slab below the glass dining pavilion. The sunbeds cost 18 euros per person even for hotel guests, which does not seem appropriate given the expense of the rooms to stay there; they should be free for hotel guests. Restaurants close early! We had trouble finding restaurants open and serving food after 9 pm. There is a grocery store a few blocks away. "
