Hotels in Kamala Beach, Phuket

The hotel is well situated fronting the beach across the street, beside/& within walking distance of restaurants/bars and the Thai essential- 7-eleven. Laundromats are within walking distance too if you're so inclined to do laundry on vacation. The hotel is bit dated and needs some renovations to modernise but the property overall is acceptable and the pools were clean. The design of the pool areas were nice to have possibility of swimming in the shade. The kids zone is useful and the gym is acceptable although i didn't use the motorized equipment. The hotel is close to carnival magic and fantasea. The beach isn't great for swimming nor relaxing (choppy waters with churned up sand plus busy). The staff were overall friendly and helpful.

A Perfect Family Vacation at Catnip Seaside Hotel & Cafe! We were truly delighted with our stay at Catnip Seaside Hotel & Cafe with our family. Every corner of the hotel was spotless, and we were very impressed by the care they took in terms of cleanliness. The location is fantastic; its proximity to the sea and peaceful atmosphere provided exactly the vacation setting we were looking for. Thanks to the friendly and attentive staff, we felt right at home. The service quality truly deserves 5 stars. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and quality family vacation. Thank you for everything!

The overall environment here is truly exceptional, nestled amidst beautiful gardens with a private beach where you can forage for seafood in the evenings, though there isn't a huge bounty. The 'Cute Pet Park' from 9:00-10:00 AM and 4:00-5:00 PM is perfect for kids, featuring large tortoises, the opportunity to hold and feed small rabbits, bottle-feed piglets, and even feed parrots that crack sunflower seeds. The staff are incredibly proactive, constantly handing you various feeds and milk bottles. The swimming pool is massive, and the rooms with pool access look fantastic – definitely something to try next time. On the downside, the pool and other activities close a bit too early. The hotel is also a bit far from the city center, so once the pool closes in the evening, there's not much to do if you don't go out. There are no lifeguards at the pool throughout the day, so you're responsible for your own safety while swimming and playing, although the water depth is only 1.5 meters. Additionally, while they advertise many activities, all water facilities and most activities require an extra charge. These prices are also a bit higher than other hotels, so you can pick and choose what you'd like to participate in.

For the staff: everyone is extremely helpful, friendly, considerate, caring, supportive, even humble, to the extent that I can use up every beautiful word I know💕 I really appreciate their hard work which made our travel in Phuket a great experience. We will come back later🥰 For the environment: definitely 5-star living standards, featuring beautiful pools and marvelously designed gardenlike outside while inside the room, so modern and thoughtfully designed, cute balcony & cozy mattress for the food: for breakfast , a variety of dishes delicately cooked which satisfy the appetite of travelers from almost every cultural background～we did order a few dishes, every dish was far beyond what we expected～～ We are so thankful for the great experience here, I would say this is a great hotel that U CANNOT MISS!!!🥰🥰🥰😘😘😘🙆♀️🙆♀️🍀🌸🌸🌈🌈z

Location : you can go either patong or kamala which is nearest. It’s quite distant for me. But I rent a bike from hotel to make it easier for me n my partner to go anywhere. Service : service was one of the tiptop! Everywhere you go, the staff was so polite and greet you. Room : couldn’t say much as the room was so perfect for me n my partner. Choose the one straight to the pool from our room. As we can just jump into and swim and chill. I did enjoy my stay here. Breakfast was good. All I can say is that the staff there were so friendly, professional, helpful. And willingly to help whatever you need. I enjoy staying here. Most probably will stay again next year !

A beautiful hotel, very convenient location, to the sea on a straight 15 minutes walk, a lot of shops and cafes. In the hotel spacious rooms, very bright and clean, excellent service, on the resepshne all very polite and always go to the meeting, on the last floor a pool with a terrace

The rooftop bar has changed a lot since I came here 5 years ago. During happy hour there were only two staff members working. One was making drinks while the female staff member mostly stood behind the counter instead of helping, so the service felt quite slow.

Full marks, highly recommend! Sunwing Kamala Beach Resort in Phuket is a must-book for families with kids! We checked in on July 4th and checked out on July 6th, staying only two short nights. When we left, we were so reluctant and regretted booking for such a short period! Upon arrival for check-in, we met Mr. Lin, who spoke Chinese. His service was truly impeccable – warm and patient throughout, explaining all the hotel facilities in detail. He even thoughtfully arranged a ground-floor room with direct pool access, so the kids could just jump straight into the water. The experience was absolutely fantastic, and I want to especially thank Mr. Lin for his considerate and thoughtful hospitality! The hotel is particularly friendly towards Chinese tourists. All the staff members are gentle and polite, speaking in a kind and comfortable manner. We were driving, and parking was very convenient. The hotel even provides exclusive parking permits, showing their well-managed system. Their family-friendly amenities are definitely a highlight, with a whopping 8 swimming pools and 3 water slides! The play area is equipped with PS5 consoles and ping-pong tables. Our 11-year-old played from morning till night, excited and never bored. This was the most satisfying and perfect accommodation of our entire Phuket trip! The room also had an extra children's bed, so there was no squeezing at all with the kids – the space planning is very user-friendly. I also really liked the location; the surrounding area is quiet and comfortable, not noisy or bustling. The Kamala area has plenty of dining options, making it super convenient to find food. It's a one-stop shop for eating, staying, and playing, making it totally worry-free. Next time we come to Phuket, we will definitely stay here for the entire trip and won't choose another hotel. I sincerely recommend this to all families with children!

We booked this resort through the website and based on reviews. It's not a huge resort, but the room design is the most beautiful I've ever seen. It's beachfront, so you can walk straight onto the sand, and the beach itself is stunning and clean. Parking was reasonably convenient. Our room had direct pool access, which was super handy – you could just jump right in! My only minor issue was that the pool was a bit deep. The room was beautiful and spacious, and all the amenities were convenient and complete; there were even various snacks and drinks in the fridge. The staff here were lovely and provided excellent service, offering helpful advice and always ready to assist. What I particularly loved was the delicious and varied breakfast that never repeated. The food from the hotel restaurant was also incredibly tasty. In summary, we loved it so much that we extended our stay by two nights. We will definitely be back again next time.
