Hotels in Karon Beach, Phuket

An excellent hotel. Great hospitality, friendliness, comfort, and security. It's close to the sea and offers good value for money. I happened to catch the Kata festival and greeted friends while traveling around the island. I had a wonderful night, and they even upgraded my room. March and April are low season in Karon, with little shade and extreme heat. You can really only be on the beach early in the morning and late in the evening, at sunrise and sunset. The hotel has a lovely, cozy pool.

I highly recommend Phuket Island View Resort to anyone visiting Phuket, especially for its excellent value for money. It's located right on Karon Beach; you just step out and the sea is right there. While you can't see the ocean directly from the room, it's literally beachside. The room itself is very spacious and clean, and the hot water works perfectly. The front desk staff are incredibly welcoming, and the location makes it super convenient to get around. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Phuket!

This place is nice and spacious and would be good for 3/4 nights. It is well situated between a few different beaches too so very easy to get to desirable areas. The pool etc looks good although I didn't actually go in. All the drinks etc and spa packages are a bit too expensive and don't quite match the vibe the hotel provides. The rooms are a bit dated and the details are missing. For example the toilet seat and cover won't stay up. I.e. if you're sitting the toilet seat cover is going to fall on you. If you're standing you're going to have to hold the seats up. The pillows are hard and there is two pillows on a large bed rather than four. Consistently, little things like this that don't ruin your stay but you do notice compared to other hotels.

I chose this hotel after staying at the one next door, because I loved it so much, I couldn't take my eyes off it! It was the best decision during my vacation in Thailand. Beautiful pool, huge rooms, pleasant staff, and a magical breakfast.

I stayed for seven days, here's my objective review. The facilities are comparable to a 4-star hotel in China. I'd give the service a low rating; while the room service was excellent, the restaurant service was terrible, especially the ladies in shirts – they acted like we owed them money. The location is decent, right by the beach. The room is a good size, though it's not a sea-view room, and the amenities are equivalent to a Chinese 4-star. The restaurant staff's rude service was a big negative. I'll definitely be looking for a different hotel next time.

The hotel's location isn't bad, but if you're looking for action, it's better to stay closer to Karon Circle. The TV works intermittently, with only one Russian channel and no children's channels. There are six channels in total. Sound from the hallway is fairly clear, so you'll hear your neighbors as soon as they wake up. The staff is friendly and treated us to ant control (a common occurrence). They offered us a welcome drink (juice) and drove us to our building in a golf cart. There are three swimming pools. The one on the roof in Building 1 is nice, and there's a sauna (from which kind men jump into the water without even rinsing off in the shower), but it's not as clean as the one in Building 4. A 1,000 baht deposit was required upon check-in for one night. One of the downsides: all the linens were super damp and smelled musty, so I had to put a piece of blanket between my face and pillow to avoid the smell. The air conditioning in the room is good, but the lowest setting will blow you away, as the room, while deluxe, is small. There's no minibar—which might be a concern for some—but there are toiletries (soap, toothbrush, gel, and shampoo) and a great set of towels. Beach towels are also available.

My kids chose Phuket for their holiday, and we’d stayed at Kata Beach before, so this time we wanted to try Karon Beach. After a thorough selection process on Trip.com, and considering the competitive pricing, we ultimately picked the Karon Beach Resort. Here's a summary of our hotel experience for your reference: **Location:** The hotel is centrally located on Karon Beach, an excellent spot, just a two to three-minute walk to the beach. The resort is quite large and has two entrances: a main gate for vehicles and a smaller gate leading to the beach. Both entrances have very helpful security guards who even salute us when we enter and exit, which adds a nice touch. Outside the small beach gate, you'll find massage parlors and restaurants on both sides, which is very convenient. There are also 7-Elevens near both gates. **Service:** The service was average, nothing particularly outstanding. The front desk staff were all male, and their attitude was a bit stiff, without much enthusiasm. However, this wasn't a big deal and didn't affect our stay or experience. **Facilities:** The hotel is a bit older, and some of the facilities are a bit dated. But we didn't spend much time in the hotel anyway, so it didn't impact our experience. The room was spacious, and we chose one with direct pool access. The pool was also quite large, which was a good experience. A unique feature in Phuket is that rooms don't typically allow three people. As a family of three with a 15-year-old child, we had to pay for an extra bed. Interestingly, each room already has a third bed, and if you request the extra bed service, staff will make it up with a pillow and blanket after you check in. The extra bed fee was 800 Thai Baht per person per day. **Dining:** Reviews mentioned that the hotel breakfast was excellent. From my personal experience, it was decent – nothing extraordinary, but not bad either. The service was good, the breakfast variety was acceptable, and the taste was fine. For a hotel in this price range, it was pretty good. **Summary:** Personally, I feel this hotel offers good value for money. My family thought Karon Beach was better overall – the beach is less crowded and quieter, perfect for surfing. I'd suggest bringing a swimming ring if you can't swim, as the waves can be quite exciting. This quiet beach is ideal for a relaxing holiday, much calmer than Kata Beach. Surrounding amenities like massage, restaurants, and shopping are all very convenient. I personally liked it a lot, and our stay was satisfying. It's worth recommending.

I loved this place! The staff are incredibly responsive and friendly. A big thank you to Harry, May, Hazel, and all the other wonderful people! 💕 About the hotel: Rooms are clean, with no cockroaches or other critters. They clean the rooms daily, and bed linens are changed every 3 days. There's a designated smoking area. In the lobby, you can grab a bite to eat – there's a good restaurant next door. There's also a pool. And you can smoke at the tables in the pool area. Nearby, there are plenty of 7/11 stores, Watsons, cafes, and best of all, the beach, all within walking distance. I definitely recommend it. For the price, it's really good! ☀️

The standard rooms are quite large, and there are family rooms available with bunk beds. Some room types offer direct pool access, allowing you to step right into the water from your door, which creates a wonderful holiday vibe. Some front desk staff can communicate in basic Mandarin. The breakfast selection is sufficient, with options like porridge, tropical fruits, and omelets alongside Western dishes. 3. Outstanding value for its location: Karon Beach has bigger waves and is less crowded than Patong. You don't need to take a car to get to the beach. Food prices in the surrounding area are also lower than in Patong.

We arrived at the hotel. At first, it seemed like a regular hotel, but when we saw our private rooftop lounge area, we were really surprised and decided that the hotel was definitely worth it, even better than the price (the price was quite cheap). We really loved the hotel. The location is excellent! There's a 7/11 nearby and Karon Beach is just 5 minutes away. Wonderful!
