Pingyao Hotels with Gym

This is a gorgeous hotel that is centrally-located inside the ancient city with great service. It’s like living in a museum! The hotel is housed in a thoughtfully renovated ancient college with a beautiful courtyard for chatting, eating, and chilling. The rooms are large, clean, and quiet. I really enjoyed the traditional mat style bed. The hotel is a short walk away from the bustling Main Street. It was very convenient to walk to most attractions inside the walled City. The hotel owner also arranged free transport to take me to the high speed rail station. The service was wonderful. No complaints! If you’re staying here, I recommend checking out not just the ancient walled city but also the ancient temples in the area. I would stay here again without hesitation.

The ancient city Pingyao and the Yundingxuan hotel blowed our mind. The hotel provide free pickup from the train station. We took the high speed train arrived at Pingyaocheng station which is around 15 minutes away from the ancient city. When you enter the city wall gate, you will be amazed of the narrow streets and cobblestone road. Picked Yundingxuan hotel because it was closed to the North gate so If the taxi was to dropped us off it’ll be a short walk but the driver dropped us off near the hotel because cars are not allowed within the main streets. The hotel is closed to 200 years old and have characteristics of the Ming and Qing dynasties. I was born in Vietnam, With roots to China but raised up in the US since I was 7 years old. I’ve seen Chinese movies but nothing will prepare you to the hotel and the ancient city. I was surprised how big the hotel complex was. All the staff were very nice, the main host spoke English, and the breakfasts were traditional Chinese breakfast. We stayed two nights and we felt safe throughout our visit. My wife and daughter appreciated the three hotel cats and all the felines throughout the city. I’m sure the other hotels are fantastic and will give your a unique experience but I can vouch for Yundingxuan. Just be prepared to get out your comfort zone but be amazed by the visual and taste of Pingyao Ancient City.

This hotel was really great and perfect for us. We loved its location, the breakfast and the comfortable and spacious room. It's walking distance from everything to see in Pingyao and they have free transfer to the airport which was a plus as we arrived in the city at night. We want to especially thank Wendy and Linn at the hotel as they were really nice to us and exceeded our expectations. We will recommend this hotel to anyone going to Pingyao.

Although the ancient city of Pingyao is very deserted in December. But the hotel is very welcoming and heart-warming. In the off-season, the service of this hotel is most in line with the star standard. Because the entrance to the underground parking lot is not easy to enter, they also specially sent us a drive-in method to guide us to find the underground parking lot. The hotel is located outside the ancient city of Pingyao. Parking is very convenient and it is also fast to get on the highway. The most important thing is that the room is much more comfortable than staying in an inn. The bath water is comfortable and the mattress is soft and hard. The breakfast is very rich. Before checking out, they also gave Shanxi vinegar as a gift. This hotel is highly recommended.

200 meters inside the ancient city wall. Because cars are not allowed in the ancient city, this location is already perfect. There is a large Beiguan parking lot nearby, which is convenient for entry and exit. The entrance to the city wall is also very close. Overall, it is quite convenient. The room is clean and hygienic. The proprietress is warm and hospitable. She also gave me a souvenir when I left. It’s just that the time for this trip was a bit tight. I didn’t finish visiting the ancient city. I’ll leave it as a memory.

The location is opposite the county government. The room has a standard four-star configuration. There is fast charging in the parking lot at the door. It is a ten-minute walk to the ancient city. The service is super good. I knew I had children and I got slippers and a child's toothbrush at the front desk.
