NNalakTangprapaThe accommodation was excellent, close to the South Gate and the main street of the old city. The accommodation has a smart home system, the room is clean and beautiful. The hotel owner took very good care of us, even picking us up at the train station for free. If you ask about sightseeing in the old city, the owner will explain in detail and patiently even though we don't know Chinese and help buy tickets for the old city. We wanted to hire a car from the hotel to travel for 1 day outside the old city. The hotel took very good care of us, recommending places, waiting for us to visit and sending us to the hotel, which is our next destination. Anyone who comes to the old city, I recommend staying here.

CCecile1986The hotel is really nice and in the authentic style of Pingyao. It is quite closed from the east gate and from the ancient city center.
The owner is really friendly, speaks good English and is doing everything to make you enjoy your stay. He did explained very well all the activity and provide help if needed.
The room is clean and we didn't care about the size as we were out all day. If I have to suggest one thing, it will be to have bigger mattresses as they are quite hard but it's a personal preference.

I have booked many rooms, and I will take the time to consider the rooms with good quality, comfortable prices and relatively acceptable or preferential prices when booking! This Tianxinyuan Inn is in the scenic area, and it takes seven or eight minutes to walk to the main street. The room is antique and the bedding is clean and comfortable! The point is that the boss is really hospitable. He sang cheerful songs to pick up and drop off guests all the way, making our trip full of joy. After arriving at the store, he enthusiastically answered all our questions and answers! Help us plan a reasonable Pingyao travel plan according to our time! The next day, a delicious breakfast was delivered according to the travel time of the guests! Along the way, this is the homestay I want to talk about most seriously! I won’t say anything, it’s really from the bottom of my heart! In addition, the boss recommended the restaurant dishes less than 100 meters away from the store, which is really delicious! It is the most delicious meal I have eaten recently! Recommended, must recommend!! There is also his red date vinegar. Drinking a sip is really refreshing and appetizing for us who are tired from driving for a long time!

EEcoopThis has been our favourite stay in china by far! The owner is so generous and patient despite our lack of Chinese language skills, he even brought us gifts and picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. The residence is also part of the Pingyao world heritage site, we really enjoyed seeing the similarities between fans residence and the buildings presented in the museums around Pingyao (this place has much comfier beds). The traditional Chinese breakfast was also amazing, with veges, steam buns and egg. It’s in a perfect location, out of the noise of the main streets but also an easy stroll to the lively parts of town. I will recommend Fanzhai to anyone that will listen 😁

GGuest UserReally nice place, but as for most hotels, you cannot expect the staff to speak English (not a problem for me, but if you don't speak any Chinese be prepared). Location is great as it is around 2 minutes walk from 南大街/South Street and all the main museums and courtyards. The owners were very friendly and helpful, making time to explain all the places to see and were to eat. They can even help with good discounts, e.g. for the historical-themed performance '又见平遥'/Encore Pingyao as well as for restaurants.
The hotel is in a beautiful traditional courtyard, very quiet area so you will sleep well at night. The room has traditional furniture, adding to the atmosphere, and while small (but good value for the price) was comfortable. The bed is a so-called 'kang' with heating - it was so comfortable in the cold winter that it was hard to get out of bed in the morning! Part of the floor has heating too. The cleanliness is good too. I would really recommend this place, very good atmosphere and with everything you need to be comfortable.

LLiza MartinsI never felt so welcomed as I felt here. I was treated as family. They took care of me the entire time. They took me to the Pharmacy, offer me dinner, allowed me a late check out and took me to the train station. The place is amazing. A historical building, with 2 gardens and rooms decorated as we were centuries ago. I loved my room. Spacious, cozy, beautiful, full of details. It’s 2 minutes from the principal streets, but quite. I am traveling China for 3 weeks already and honestly, I feel that all the chineses are amazing. But this family is even better than anyone else I met on my way. Thank you 🙏 See you soon

While much of Pingyao has turned into a theme park of excessive tourism (it is a well preserved “ancient” city, but turned commercialized and going to become even more as massive renovations continue across Pingyao), this sweet Guangxianyuan Inn is an oasis from the tourist madness. So well restored, beautifully renovated, kind staff, and the best part…only the sounds of birds can be heard in the courtyard. The price for rooms is also wonderful. I would stay here again, even longer…✨

JJacobThis place has very high value for money. The owners are sweet and caring, and the rooms are basic but have everything you need. There's a little quiet courtyard to hang out in. While it's in the outskirts of the ancient city, it's still within the walls. This part of the ancient city is much quieter than the center, which has its benefits, and it's still a short walk to the attractions. Furthermore it's very easy to get to and from other locations with bus/taxi as it's very close to the roads just outside the wall.

GGuest UserI went there on the second day of the ***** New Year. Hotels and B&Bs in the scenic area were too expensive. I booked the boss’ B&B online. It was pretty good, but the location was a bit out of the way. I booked a double bed room with my brother, and the boss gave me an extra bed. Quilt
