"Very nice hotel inside the walls of the Ancient City. Owners didn't speak English but they managed to communicate with translator tools, they picked me and take me back to train station and provided me with good advise on places to visit. Room was warm and clean and decoration was really nice. Thanks so much"

"Butler service: Ningning butler was very considerate to pick us up, guided us to park, helped us find a parking space in advance, and arranged a shuttle bus to take our luggage. The return trip was also considerate service throughout the whole journey, and the pick-up and drop-off were particularly in place. Thank you very much for their enthusiastic service. The restaurant they run, noodles, hot stir-fry, are also pretty good and delicious. If you like local specialties, you can order more hot stir-fry to try, really like it 👍👍👍👍

SSimpleTravelerGreat place in Pingyao. It is reasonably priced, a bit out of the very center (meaning also out of tourists crowds that can be quite noisy in the evenings and mornings), but still close, has same old-style design as the more popular and well-established places that cater to foreigners, but priced twice as much. Pick-up and drop off service is provided - just contact the hotel in advance via phone using the reception of tour previous hotel - no one speaks English - it will solve your communication issue if you do not speak Chinese. At the place itself everyone is very eager to help - use your phone app to translate. Onwer helped me to buy tickets to Pingyao attractions and Terracota Army as I was heading to Xian next (available only through WeChat Pay that is in turn is not availablefor foreign tourists as of April 2023). If you go to Shuanglin temple, be sure to ask to buy tickets through WeChat for you as well. I was able to buy physical one by pure compassion of local guard who asked the staff to open ticket office just for me (Probably was the only foreigner in Pingyao at a time). Please also note that as of April 2023, the reconstruction works in the historical city parts are continuing, so, large chunks of the city within the walls are not looking as great as it could have been. The very center of the city is mostly untouched though and you can still come and explore. If going in spring, be prepared for the temperature swings. I got a temperature drop from 28C to 3C within 2 days by the moment I got to Pingyao. It was even snowing at night.

GGuest UserThis charming courtyard house has an old-world charm that my family absolutely loved. The owner's homemade breakfast was light and delicious, and the whole experience was very comfortable. The owners were incredibly welcoming and warm. My kids had such a great time playing with their twins that they didn't want to leave! Wishing the owners and their family a happy new year in advance!

Location: Pingyao Ancient city is in the center, go to any place in the ancient city to play is very convenient
Environment: The buildings in the inn are integrated with the original buildings of the ancient city of Pingyao. The photos are very beautiful. Sitting in the courtyard feels very comfortable and relaxed
Service: Pingyao Railway station, high-speed railway station pick-up, very intimate; And the fundamental play time to help plan the travel route, to avoid wasting time when playing, all are one-to-one service, very good feeling, here feel the inheritance of China's 5,000 years of history and culture in modern young people

ZzhlcocoChengjia Old Home is a typical Shanxi house style, with a quiet environment amidst the hustle and bustle, quiet but not far from the commercial street. The room is carefully decorated and clean. The service is responsive and considerate, and the pick-up and drop-off services are in place. A very satisfying stay experience. The only thing that needs improvement is that the breakfast can have more variety.

GGuest UserDuring the Qingming Festival, I stayed at Pingyao Xinghui Hotel. From the location, it is located in the prosperous area of the ancient city, very close to Yingxun Gate, and it is very convenient to play in the ancient city. The interior of the room is decorated in an elegant new Chinese style, and the solid wood furniture shows the ancient Chinese charm and full of Shanxi characteristics. The space is spacious and the layout is reasonable, suitable for family or multiple people. The sanitation is good. Although the ancient city has a bit of quaint atmosphere, the room is clean and tidy. The service is also very considerate, the staff is warm and thoughtful, and also provides pick-up and other services. Overall, it is a good accommodation experience.

From travel and transportation to travel guides, he patiently answered questions and gave detailed introductions. The inn has an independent small courtyard. We live in a kang bed. The room is not big, but it is clean and tidy. The only shortcoming is that the water storage capacity of my water heater is too small😅Go to the ancient city for a walk. The boss also emphasized not to shop in Jingcheng. If you have anything, contact me on WeChat in time. 😀Before leaving, I also gave two bottles of old vinegar🤩Thank you for the boss's warm hospitality. GGuest UserI was on a temporary business trip and took a boat trip to visit the ancient city. Because I was short of time, I couldn't stay overnight, but it was too sunny during the day. After discussing with the boss for a long time, I agreed to stay for a few hours. Haha, I was forced to be given an hourly room. I feel that this small courtyard is quite nice. The only shortcoming is that it would be better if there were more green plants. I sat and drank tea with the boss and chatted until it cooled down before going out. This inn is very convenient from the main street light show and everything. The boss also avoided a lot of pitfalls. It has good reviews.
