GGuest UserA truly excellent stay! This Chinese-style courtyard hotel has so much character. The owner was incredibly welcoming with a big smile. I really appreciated that all the towels were disposable, which made me feel much more at ease using them. The location is absolutely fantastic – just a few minutes' walk to the heart of the ancient city. In the evenings, it was wonderful to simply wander through the old streets and soak in Pingyao's unique local atmosphere. Parking is outside the ancient city, but the owner arranged a shuttle service, which was very convenient. Breakfast isn't provided, but there are tons of restaurants on the street with very reasonable prices.

Building looks beautiful, room is plenty of space, is clean and plenty of amenities.
Service was excellent, familiar, helpful and the best we have experienced in our travel at China. They were giving us recommendations, they help us with all needs we had.
We highly recommend them.

GGuest UserWe had the best stay at Elswhwere Hotel West Gate. The building is restored it the nicest way really gives you the feeling of timetravel. The people working in the hotel, were carrying and welcoming. They explained us how to navigate the city, helped us buy tickets for the city sights, recommend restaurants and we even got a room upgrade and lovely gifts to take home and remember our time in Pingyao.
The bed was so comfortable and we had the best sleep. Can recommend this hotel full heartedly. Would definitely come back! Thank you Helen and Fenny for making our stay so memorable.

GGuest UserCosy historical building done up very nicely. Room was well renovated, owner super friendly and very accommodating, we asked for more water, toilet paper, different type of breakfast etc all happy to oblige. 10 minutes walk to light show, 10m walk to center of ancient city where most of the historical sites were. 10m walk to outside where the best food is..DO NOT eat inside the old city, food outside much better. Owner also arranged for car to take us to Wang Family compound and Shuanglian temple at much better price than I could find anywhere online. and private transfer to/from train station as well. Very happy I booked to stay at this location. Breakfast was EXCELLENT

YYuzhouwudidahaitunA fantastic hotel! The owner was incredibly welcoming, the hotel environment was excellent and very clean, and the rooms were spacious. Located near Yamen Street, almost in the heart of the ancient city, it's very convenient for visiting surrounding attractions.
When we left, the owner even gave us some of their own vinegar and offered free transportation to the train station – such thoughtful gestures! It's rare to find such a good hotel. If you're planning a trip to Pingyao Ancient City, I highly recommend staying here!

AAnonymous UserThe owner and their family were incredibly kind, thoughtful, and attentive. After we took a taxi from the high-speed train station to the city gate, they drove a small electric cart to pick up our luggage (as passengers aren't allowed to ride inside the ancient city). Throughout our stay, they patiently answered any questions we had, many of which weren't even about the accommodation. When it was time to leave, concerned we might miss our train, they not only helped us with our luggage but also hailed a taxi, loaded our bags, and waited for us to get in. As we were traveling with two young children, the owner kept reminding us not to rush, saying that if we could catch the train, great, but if not, it was fine – safety was the priority! After we'd left, the owner even called us, timing it just right, to check on how we were doing. Although our stay in Pingyao was less than 24 hours, we were profoundly touched by their immense warmth. We'll definitely be back next time to truly soak in the experience!

”I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The experience started perfectly with a complimentary pickup service at the train station, where the staff was waiting for me with a welcome sign. The hotel owner is incredibly kind and thoughtful, even lending me a portable translator to help with my communication during the trip.
The room is very modern and equipped with high-tech facilities. The bed is soft and comfortable, and the air conditioning system works perfectly for both heating and cooling. I was particularly impressed by the in-room water dispenser (both hot and cold water) and the massive projector screen which provided great entertainment.
The breakfast was delicious, served in a beautifully presented set. Every detail was taken care of with heart. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and hospitable stay!”

PPanPivoI must highly recommend this wonderful hotel in the historic centre of Pingyao. The hotel is really authentic, well equipped, the room was beautiful and I didn't miss anything during my stay. The owner is very nice and helpful, he was able to help me with everything. The front desk is guarded by a small, beautiful dog who gives you a proper greeting. Everything is a short walk from the hotel yet it is in a quiet area where you won't be disturbed. Not choosing this hotel for my stay would be a big mistake. Thank you very much

Tento nádherný hotel v historickém centru města Pingyao musím vřele doporučit. Hotel je opravdu autentický, dobře vybavený, pokoj byl krásný a během pobytu mi nic nechybělo. Majitel je velmi milý a ochotný, se vším mi dokázal pomoci. Recepci hlídá malý, krásný pejsek, který vás náležitě přivítá. Vše je kousek od hotelu a přitom je v klidné oblasti, kde vás nebude nikdo rušit. Nevybrat si tento hotel pro svůj pobyt by byla velká chyba. Moc děkuji

GGuest UserA very unique courtyard B&B inn. The rooms are clean, tidy and antique. The inn is located on the West Street of the Old City. It is right on the pedestrian street. It is very close to the Rishengchang Bank and the county government. The boss is very enthusiastic and the service is very good. I will give you a tip in advance. We sent location navigation and helped us pick up and drop off our luggage from the parking lot 🅿️. They introduced the ancient city travel suggestions in detail and arranged an ancient city guide for us to have an in-depth understanding of Pingyao’s historical and cultural heritage. It was great [strong][strong ] [Strong] When checking out, the boss also gave me a souvenir from the ancient city - aged vinegar, which is very nice and worth recommending [Strong] [Strong] [Strong]
