Gem accommodation in Shanghai

Malaysia guest here. the best thing about this hotel is definitely the location. It’s right on Nanjing Road, very strategic and convenient. The pick-up and drop-off point Didi is also very close, so no need to carry luggage far. The room was clean and comfortable, but there’s still some room for improvement. We booked for 3 people, but only two towels were provided, so we had to request an extra one, which was a bit inconvenient. The hotel is located above Zara, so it’s easy to find. For Muslim travellers, halal food is just about a 2-minute walk away. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel. The staff were kind enough to allow a slightly late check-out without any extra charge, which we really appreciated.

I keep forgetting to leave a review for the room I booked previously, but now that I'm going to Shanghai again, it reminded me. Unfortunately, I only took one picture, but you can tell the room was quite spacious, which I was very happy with. Let me start with the minor issues: when I checked in, there was a bit of dust on the TV stand and on the lower counter to the right after entering, which you could feel. In the bathroom, the water temperature for the shower on the left was easy to adjust, but the water from the faucet on the right, for washing hands, would get cold for a moment when showering with hot water. Also, there was only one chair. Otherwise, everything else I saw was very satisfying. The bed was clean, and items were neatly arranged. The cleaning staff had a great service attitude. There's a laundry room on the second or fourth floor, I forget which. You can call the front desk if you need anything. You can choose 'do not disturb' or 'make up room' at the door. I specifically left a note asking only for the trash to be emptied, and besides emptying the trash, the cleaner also changed the bathmat by the bathroom door and provided two pairs of slippers. In short, I was very satisfied. The price wasn't too expensive either. If I need to be in this area again, this will definitely be my first choice.

We had a very comfortable stay at this suburban hotel. It has a simple, homely atmosphere and the staff made us felt welcomed. Our room is clean and the bed was very comfortable. The dining area is smaller than most other hotels we stayed at, but it was sufficient - other guests leave as soon as they have finished so the tables turned over quickly. Breakfast, though simple, was sufficient and hearty. A plus for me is that they have a complimentary coffee machine on the ground floor and you can help yourself to as many cuppas as you’d like during your stay. 😁
