SSuoFlareI've never willingly given a hotel a perfect five-star rating, but this one deserves it. The location is absolutely fantastic, right above IFC and surrounded by major shopping malls. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Disney Store, the Oriental Pearl Tower, and the Bund. Even though it's a 10-year-old hotel, you really have to stay here to understand just how incredibly well-maintained it is. The service is practically on-demand; they respond to almost any request incredibly quickly. While they don't automatically deliver takeout to your room, you can call concierge and they'll bring it up. The hotel breakfast offers a good variety, and everything tastes delicious. 'Variety' is relative, of course – it can't compare to places that specialize solely in breakfast, but it's very good nonetheless. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to any family or friends who need a place to stay in Shanghai.

GGuest UserReceptionists are very helpful and polite. Room is very spacious and clean. Location a bit far from MRT (15-20mins walk) but overall is good location to stay. Nearby also have local breakfast and some cafe and restaurants.

MM467266****Absolutely thrilled with my stay! The room was small, but I absolutely adored it. It was spotlessly clean, and the mattress offered the perfect balance of firmness and softness. They even provided a selection of both memory foam and cotton pillows, which were incredibly comfortable. While the room had a ventilation system, it lacked a window, so it could feel a little stuffy at times, but it was perfectly acceptable. The bathroom and shower were kept immaculately clean, which was very reassuring. The hairdryer was also excellent – I forgot the brand, but I'm seriously considering buying one for myself, haha! They provided fresh disposable towels, disposable slippers, and bottled water daily. Plus, the lobby offered complimentary lemon water and hot tea. However, there was no designated area to hang or dry clothes. If you're on a multi-day trip, it's best to pack enough outfits for each day.

MM540160****The room was very clean. The location is super convenient, just a 5-minute walk to the subway. There are 3 large shopping malls nearby, and ordering takeout is really easy. The common area is great for eating takeout, and there are plenty of clean showers and restrooms, so no waiting in line. The front desk staff was also very welcoming; they gave me a free upgrade to a 6-person room. Sister Lixin Jing was particularly kind! ^-^ (picture of common area eating takeout)

HHunter Jackson TonyMy partner and I recently stayed at the Novotel Shanghai Pudong Chuansha, opting for a Superior King Room from December 21st to 23rd for our trip to Shanghai. The overall experience far exceeded our expectations. Based on my ratings and actual feelings, I'd like to share a detailed review of our stay: **Hygiene: 5/5 - Exceeded Expectations** I'm giving full marks for hygiene; I truly couldn't find a single flaw. Upon entering the room, I was immediately impressed by its cleanliness. The bedding was perfectly made, without a single wrinkle or odd smell, and the pillowcases and duvet covers felt like clean cotton. The glass partition in the bathroom and the vanity mirror were spotless. There were no water stains or residue on the toilet or in the shower area, and even the crevices of the vanity were dust-free. The daily housekeeping service was also excellent. Staff promptly replaced used towels, replenished bottled water and toiletries, and even neatly arranged our skincare products and cups that we had left out. The attention to detail really made us feel comfortable. **Environment: 4.5/5 - Satisfactory** I'm giving the environment 4.5 points; the overall experience was great, with only a minor flaw. The hotel's location is a big advantage; it's not far from Chuansha Metro Station, making it convenient for trips to Disneyland or downtown. There are also plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so daily shopping and dining were never an issue. The hotel's internal environment is also excellent. The lobby is modern and grand, with stylish lighting and soft furnishings. The greenery in the public areas is well-maintained, and there's a subtle, pleasant fragrance in the air. The soundproofing in the guest rooms is also good; with the windows closed, you can barely hear any traffic noise, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The 0.5 deduction is due to occasional slight noise from vehicles entering and exiting the hotel's underground parking, but this was very minor and almost negligible. **Service: 4.5/5 - Satisfactory** The service experience is equally commendable, and the 4.5 rating is well-deserved. From check-in, the front desk staff were exceptionally friendly, with warm smiles, and handled the process quickly. They also proactively asked about our needs and patiently explained the breakfast times, and the locations of the gym and laundry room. During our stay, I accidentally lost my room card. After contacting the front desk, new cards were promptly delivered by staff, who remained completely patient throughout. When I called room service for a hairdryer in the evening, it arrived at our door within minutes. The only minor regret is that during peak breakfast hours, the restaurant staff were a bit overwhelmed, and the speed of clearing dishes was a little slow. Otherwise, I would have given full marks for this as well. **Facilities: 4.5/5 - Satisfactory** The hotel's facilities are also excellent, receiving a 4.5 rating due to one small detail that could be improved. Our Superior King Room was very spacious, with furniture arranged well to avoid feeling cramped. The king-size bed had a mattress that was just the right firmness, making for a very comfortable sleep. The room's facilities were all very modern; the large smart TV could connect for screen mirroring, the air conditioning heated up quickly, and the thermostatic shower in the bathroom had a smooth water flow and stable hot water supply. The hotel's public facilities are also comprehensive; the gym has a wide range of equipment that is well-maintained, and the washing machines and dryers in the laundry room are easy to operate, with laundry detergent also provided. The slight drawback is that the desk chair in the room felt a bit hard after sitting for a long time. If a cushion were provided, it would be more comfortable, which is why I deducted 0.5 points. Overall, the Novotel Shanghai Pudong Chuansha is a hotel that offers both excellent value for money and a great experience. It's suitable for both couples traveling and business trips. I was very satisfied with this stay and would highly likely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the Chuansha area of Shanghai.

OOmoshiRokunThis hotel boasts a superb location in North Bund, offering unbeatable views of Lujiazui right outside the window. It's hard to believe the room facilities are ten years old, they're in such excellent condition. The round bathtub, in particular, easily accommodates an adult. Before arrival, the butler contacted me and informed me of the check-in time, yet I still had to wait over half an hour to check in, finally getting into the room around 4 PM. This isn't what I'd expect from a Banyan Tree property. Breakfast is served on the first floor, and you can order snacks at your table. What's fantastic is that it's served until 12 PM, making it perfect for a city vacation vibe!

MM476027****The views of the Bund are truly stunning, with distinct beauty both day and night—it was a real pleasure staying here. The hotel service was incredibly attentive, making me feel comfortable from check-in to check-out. Breakfast was also exquisite, with a wide variety of choices and delicious flavors. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding comfortable, and I felt very secure during my stay. This will definitely be my top choice for future visits to the area.

MM352091****The hotel is ideally located on the Shanghai Bund, offering excellent proximity to famous landmarks and stunning scenery. It's just a short walk to places like Waibaidu Bridge and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. Guests can enjoy beautiful views of the Bund and the 'Pudong Three-Piece Suit' (referring to the three iconic skyscrapers) from their windows, a truly breathtaking sight. Whether it's day or night, the hotel's prime location makes exploring and admiring Shanghai's beauty incredibly easy and convenient. The service quality is generally highly praised, with special recognition for the exclusive concierges, Coco, Kaly, and Eva, who are exceptional, professional, and enthusiastic.

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for one night during a business trip and overall had a smooth experience. The price is very reasonable, and the hotel itself is fairly ok. They also gave me an upgrade when I checked in, but I can’t say how that room was different to the one that I booked. The rooms and breakfast were both okay — nothing outstanding, but perfectly fine for a short stay. One of the highlights is the convenient location, with many dinner options nearby, which was great for our needs. I appreciated the welcome cookie, although it was quite hard and crumbly — a nice gesture, but not very tasty. One small inconvenience was that I couldn’t get a Chinese invoice (fapiao) directly at the hotel; instead, they told me to request it through the booking app, which I found a bit unusual. Despite these minor issues, it was an easy and pleasant stay. I would definitely consider staying here again if I need a hotel in this area at this price point.

FFEIFISHYThis was my first time staying at the Andaz, and Peter checked me in. He seemed like a real food enthusiast and confidently told me their breakfast was excellent, urging me to try it on my first visit. He was absolutely right! The breakfast quality was very high, with a rich variety of both Chinese and Western options. If you went a bit later, there was even a queue. I was very satisfied with my stay overall. Thanks for everything, Peter!
