"This stay was incredibly comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent, with a supermarket just a short walk away, making daily shopping very convenient. The lobby is warm and inviting, always stocked with hot water, coffee, and candies – a lot of thoughtful details. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, making for a truly relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and very quick to respond to requests. Overall, it offers great value for money, making it an excellent choice for accommodation when traveling."

"My first time at Sofitel Shanghai, and it was super convenient with its location close to both my client and the high-speed train station. The service was really warm and welcoming (the housekeeping staff was so thoughtful; it's rare to have all my drinking water requests met at once, which is a huge plus for business travelers). The hotel decor is lovely, and the room was quiet, far exceeding my expectations. A big thank you to Chelsea for the arrangements!"

GGuest UserWe are a newly married couple on honeymoon. Ritz Carlton Shanghai has exceeded our expectations especially with the excellent service provided by Yuna in the guest welcoming team. She noted that we are on honeymoon and went above and beyond to make our stay special by a cute hand written card and a cake, and custom room cards alongside other gifts as a surprise upon checkout. We are so happy during the stay and appreciate her gestures and attention to detail a lot.
Additionally the concierge team was great in helping to deliver everything we needed to our room as we are definitely one of the more difficult guests by getting a lot of food deliveries and taobao parcels haha.
Overall great stay, amazing service, excellent views of Shanghai sky line. We will definitely come back again for longer.

JJANE_WOOTHE HOTEL DECO MIGHT BE SLIGHTLY OLD BUT IT IS MAJESTIC. STAYED IN BUSINESS SUITE. STAFF ARE PROFESSIONAL. THEY PROVIDE FREE CHOC AND FRUITS. CLEANLINESS IS SUPERB. BREAKFAST CHOICE IS EXCELLENT, JUST VERY PACK, WHICH MEANING THE HOTEL IS WELL ACCEPTED BY TRAVELERS. MY ROOM DOOR LOCK WAS SLIGHTLY SPOILT. THEY RECTIFIED IT IMMEDIATELY. THE VIEW FROM MY ROOM WAS FANTASTIC, LARGE GREENARY. OVERALL IT IS A VERY PLEASANT STAY. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Cchw_tThe hotel's location is fantastic. The lobby is on Sichuan Road, but there's also an entrance on Zhongshan East Road, making it super convenient to get to the Bund. After dinner, we relaxed at the hotel and waited for the Bund to be a bit less crowded before heading out for a stroll, which was really pleasant. The hotel's own restaurant is Michelin-starred, with an elegant atmosphere and good quality dishes. The bar is also great for a drink with a view of the Bund. As for the hotel facilities, they are top-notch, as expected from a hotel of this caliber. Overall, it was a very good experience.

GGuest UserTerrible. Will not stay again. The check-in SOP was unclear, forcing guests to ask multiple questions, even for basic information like breakfast times and location. The room smelled of smoke, possibly due to old or poorly maintained air conditioning. The front desk staff denied there was a smoke smell and only after repeated requests did they show me other rooms, about half of which also smelled of smoke. Their service attitude was both arrogant and perfunctory. The operational procedures were also a mess; for example, after checking in, I found the room didn't even have a kettle and called to request one. Ten minutes later, housekeeping knocked on the door, saying they needed to replace the in-room magazine. It was bizarre to replace a monthly magazine after check-in. The kettle that was eventually delivered was wet inside and out, with a strong disinfectant smell inside. The ice bucket in the room also had water and already smelled foul when opened. The hotel management is riddled with loopholes everywhere; quality is in the details. The hard furnishings like the toilet and bathtub in the room were old, the shower handle was broken, and the water pressure was worse than a 3 or 4-star hotel. The linens were average. However, the bedding and mattress were good.

The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room offer an amazing direct view of the Oriental Pearl Tower, and the night view is absolutely stunning.
The lavish breakfast can easily last you until lunchtime, and right downstairs is the riverside promenade, perfect for leisurely strolls with the kids.
Being surrounded by the Huangpu River and such beautiful scenery makes for such a happy stay~
Especially the butler service – so thoughtful, every single butler was outstanding! I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time...

GGuest UserI specifically chose to stay at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai, and the experience far exceeded my expectations. Its prime location in Lujiazui makes getting to the Bund and major shopping districts incredibly convenient. The room was immaculately clean, the bedding was soft and gentle on the skin, and all the in-room facilities were meticulously maintained. The high-altitude view offered stunning panoramic sights of the illuminated buildings along both sides of the Huangpu River. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive. The breakfast buffet featured carefully selected ingredients and excellent flavors. Every detail truly showcased the commitment of a high-end hotel. It's definitely my top choice for accommodation when visiting Shanghai.

TThe Lonely TravellerMight I say, our entire stay at the W was marvelous from beginning to end. Upon arrival, we were greeted and helped with our luggage straight yo our room. The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly. She even offered to upgrade us to a room with a better view seeing that we were celebrating and visiting Shanghai for the first time. Each staff seemed to acknowledge our existence all throughout the hotel. This made us feel like extremely important people.
Our room was absolutely stunning and oh my was the view ever so perfect. Room service was excellent. Their burger was probably the most delicious. We visited amd stayed in many hotels around China and this one definitely left some beautiful memories.
We would highly recommend staying here if ever visiting Shanghai. Every penny spent was worth it.

As frequent travelers who have stayed in many five-star-plus hotels around the world, my 80-year-old mother and I would like to share an honest note about our recent stay at your hotel. To be frank, the overall service didn’t quite meet the five-star standard we’ve come to expect — for instance, on a rainy day, the front desk staff could have been more proactive and welcoming, especially to elderly guests. The lobby manager and housekeeping team could also respond faster to requests from executive lounge guests, without delays or indifference. That said, Mr. Liu, a server at the first-floor Atrium Cafe, truly impressed us — so much so that we would happily recommend your hotel to family and friends.
Mr. Liu is dedicated, professional, and highly efficient. Even at his busiest moments, he remains calm, well-organized, and always smiling — polite, warm, and attentive to every request and question. What stands out even more is his thoughtful, patient care for elderly guests. He knows the Atrium Cafe and the hotel inside out, and is equally familiar with the neighborhood and Shanghai’s tourist scene. He gave us plenty of practical tips, which made our trip so much more enjoyable.
When choosing a hotel, location and facilities certainly matter — but what truly makes guests want to come back are staff like Mr. Liu. We do hope the management recognizes more and encourages him further. Excellent staff deserve appreciation, and true talent should be retained.
Thank you, Mr. Liu, and kudos to the Atrium Cafe for its great food and dining experience. We look forward to seeing Jin Jiang Group, Jing An Kunlun Hotel, and the Atrium Cafe keep raising the bar — and have more wonderful employees like Mr. Liu in the future.
