Hotel near Fengxian Development Zone,Shanghai
Kimpton Nine Trees Shanghai is located in Fengxian, the eco-friendly heartland of southern Shanghai. The hotel adjoins the A-level theatre Shanghai Nine Trees Art Center and is surrounded by the 7,000-acre Central Ecological Park, and it is a nature-infused retreat. The hotel features 229 guestrooms .Three distinctive restaurants and bars serve as vibrant social destinations: SOLA & LUNA all-day dining restaurant, inspired by the northern Mediterranean, evokes a sun-drenched coastal spirit; SONG, the signature Chinese restaurant, offers creative Jiangsu-Zhejiang cuisine; ECHO bar draws inspiration from natural caves, inviting guests to escape the ordinary. In addition, the hotel offers light-filled, highly flexible meeting and event spaces for inspired gatherings and social moments. Seamlessly blending modern wellness concepts with Kimpton’s signature playful social spirit, the hotel brings guests a range of novel experiences: EverNine Spa & Wellness (featuring an indoor pool, 24-hour fitness center, and more), an outdoor swimming pool, Nest Kids Club, and Zombilee Pet Park. Here, guests can unwind amidst greenery, recharge through gourmet socializing, and unlock new possibilities in life.

"As the second Kimpton in the magic capital, Fengxian has been looking forward to the high-end international hotel after several years. Nine trees Kimpton has its own characteristics. Through this stay experience, the advantages and disadvantages are as follows. Advantages: Good location, located in the core area of Fengxian, next to Jiukeshu Art Center, close to Jinhai Lake. Not far from Fengxian Tianjie by car. Compared with Fengxian JW Marriott, they each occupy the best location in Fengxian. The hotel occupies an area that is significantly larger than traditional hotels. It is like a small park with various green landscapes. The interior decoration is in Southeast Asian resort style, the front hall and other areas, and the decoration is quite distinctive. But the corridors in the room area are very ordinary, not even as the group's low-grade Indigo, and VOCO. The hotel is intelligent, the TV is clear, and the various hardware basically meets the grade. The room with a bathtub, the bathtub is quite big. Hotel air conditioning is very good. The breakfast quality is good, the baked bread is delicious, and there is rare cold coffee. The only obvious drawback is that the pineapple in the breakfast is difficult to eat. In terms of service, the overall affinity of the front desk is good. Now IHG's are very good. This is better than Hyatt and Hilton. Talk about the shortcomings: 1) Mini actually needs to be charged. For a newly opened hotel, in the case of such a volume in the general environment, there is an extra charge, which is completely incomprehensible. I don't know if it is stingy for cost reasons, or does the management not understand the market? In addition, the drinks provided by the charged Mini bar, which is Sprite Coke, do not highlight local characteristics and local culture at all. Very perfunctory. 2) The hair dryer is not Dyson's. I knew that the newly opened Indigo has all standard Dyson. The higher positioning Kimpton is not Dyson, it should not be. 3) If the spare parts are, the texture of the toothbrush and the toothpaste selection can be said to be inconsistent with the hotel grade. But the quality of the men's razor is quite good. 4) Although the hotel area is large, many outdoor spaces do not organize interesting bodies. The project inspection is a bit wasteful. In addition to the accommodation, there are limited items to play, and there is no special bar and resident singing. 5) For the smell, what surprised me was that the smell in the room was almost handled. But the public area, especially the corridor, and the big banquet hall. The smell is still very big. 6) There is no special gift for the first guests who opened. Since the minibar is not free, do you have to do better in other aspects? Overall, this Kimpton has its own characteristics, the opening time is also very good, the network's spread of promotions brought good opening traffic and customers. But if Kimpton is to be of the grade and standard that makes guests feel better than Indigo, it is still worth improving."

AAnonymous UserThe Executive Room was spacious and airy, with soft, comfortable bedding and exquisite bathroom amenities. The soundproofing was excellent, allowing for a truly peaceful rest. The hotel's location is superb, making getting around a breeze; you can hail a taxi right downstairs. A special shout-out to Jeremy from the Executive Lounge! From check-in to departure, he was attentive and thoughtful throughout. He proactively explained all the lounge benefits, from breakfast and afternoon tea to evening service, arranging everything with meticulous care and warmth. He was quick to respond to any request, demonstrating professionalism and genuine hospitality that made us feel like family. Our experience was perfect, highly recommended!

GGuest UserTL;DR: Do not stay here—at least not in our room. The J Hotel has serious sanitation issues, falsely advertises “Bund View” rooms, and responds to legitimate complaints with insulting compensation. This was meant to be a gift for my mother’s final two nights in China; instead, it was my worst hotel experience. 1. Unacceptable sanitation – mud in the tub We stayed in room 9010, a “Grand Suite Bund View.” My mother ran a bath and found mud/sediment in the tub after it filled (photo attached). Maintenance told us this is “common” when the pipe hasn’t been used for two days. That’s false—and even if true, it admits this “luxury” hotel doesn’t clean properly. The mud reappeared the second day. For any hotel this is inexcusable; at over 6,000 RMB/night, it’s disgusting. 2. “Bund View” is a deliberate lie I booked this room specifically to see the Bund and Oriental Pearl Tower lights at night, paying double a standard room. What we got was almost pitch black; on a clear night, it looked like distant fireflies. This wasn’t weather—we saw clear views from the lobby and 120th floor. Staff admitted that every room has privacy film and a secondary glass layer that intentionally blocks outward visibility. They showed us a room five floors above facing the same direction—equally obstructed. If so, the hotel has no business advertising “Bund View.” It’s a marketing lie. We asked for an upgrade; they said I already paid for the best in this tier and the next would cost 10,000+ RMB/night which was too much to comp. We asked for a refund; they refused, claiming no authority. 3. Petty service recovery After complaints of mud and a fake view, a manager offered one extra complimentary breakfast and a 100 RMB minibar credit. We requested two comped breakfasts to feed family members taking us to the airport. They said each breakfast costs 368 RMB and refused the second—screenshot attached. They were polite but chose to nickel-and-dime us. 4. A culture of inflexibility Even minor requests were denied or given runaround: · I asked for a coffee to go 30 minutes after breakfast, specifying a pickup time so ice wouldn’t melt. They said I could only take it immediately upon leaving breakfast. Kitchen blamed front desk; front desk blamed kitchen. · I requested luggage be brought down to match our car arrival. They said it needed 20 minutes, so I had to check out 20 minutes early—causing an awkward wait without a room. These courtesies I’ve received at hotels costing 1/10th the price. At 6,000 RMB, they’re baseline expectations—not favors. We didn’t feel this was a luxury property. It’s a high-rise with expensive decor, dirty pipes, deliberately obscured windows, and management that claims to care but can’t fix real problems. Their final offer of ~$15 and one meal told me exactly how much they value trust and time. Save your money. Book elsewhere. The public-area views are great—and free. The hotel itself is beautiful, with top-notch art and decor, but that doesn’t justify the stay.

AAnonymous UserI originally booked a Deluxe River View Room at The Peninsula, but to my pleasant surprise, I received a complimentary upgrade to a River View Suite! What an amazing bonus! The suite offered a stunning, expansive view directly overlooking the beautiful Bund, creating a fantastic ambiance. The hotel's service was meticulous and attentive, the facilities were top-notch, and the environment was serene and elegant. During the holiday season, I even received some delightful complimentary treats. The whole experience was absolutely fantastic – truly a benchmark in luxury.

GGuest UserThis time, my family and I stayed in an Executive Suite at the Pullman Shanghai Jing An. First off, the hotel's location is incredibly convenient. It's right near Shanghai Railway Station, so if you're coming by high-speed rail, you're there in just five minutes after exiting the station. There's also Metro Line 1 right outside, about 50 meters away, making it easy to get to many famous Shanghai attractions. The suite consists of a bedroom and a living room, which was more than enough space for our family. The living room has a sofa bed that unfolds into a small bed, which was very practical. The room itself was clean and tidy, with complete amenities, and the kids really enjoyed the screen-mirroring TV. The front desk service was excellent, both during check-in and check-out. We'll definitely stay here again.

VvictorouThis hotel's location is absolutely top-tier among Shanghai's luxury hotels! Housed in the historic No. 2 Bund building, it boasts a century of history, directly overlooking the Huangpu River, and is right in the city center. It completely outshines newer hotels in Lujiazui and Jing'an in terms of both historical charm and convenience. What truly impressed me was the service – Aaron, Coco, and Emily from the concierge team were incredibly attentive throughout my stay. That's definitely a huge plus!

네르하I stayed at W Shanghai with my family and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent, and the twin-bed room was spacious enough for my child and me to stay comfortably. Although the hotel is a little away from People’s Square and Nanjing Road, it is connected to a shopping mall, which makes dining and shopping very convenient. Most importantly, my wife and child were very satisfied with the hotel. The room was clean, modern, and well-maintained, making it a great choice for families. The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and spoke English very well. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. There are also Starbucks and Luckin Coffee nearby, ㅣwhich was very convenient for grabbing a coffee. I would highly recommend this hotel for both family vacations and business trips, and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai.

GGuest UserWe booked a suite for our wedding reception to host both sets of parents. When the housekeeping team helped us bring up some of our luggage, they even came along to specifically wish us a happy marriage! I was so touched. Then they adjusted the air conditioning for me because I was decorating and they were worried I'd get hot. They turned it down and even introduced me to the room's mini-bar! Later, they also sent up some fruit for me 😊 It was delicious and so fresh! In the evening, they proactively asked if I wanted turndown service~ The breakfast in the morning was especially good, with seaweed sticky rice cakes, and I even had the Shanghainese specialty 'Shuangdang Soup'! My parents and family all said the dinner banquet was excellent! The seafood received particularly high praise – it was incredibly fresh, the lobster was springy, and the beef cubes were juicy. The two-way roasted suckling pig was also very unique. Everyone in the family was very satisfied, including the wedding cake we ordered at the end; they all said it was better than cakes bought outside. It was a very happy experience.

Ccomo fanStayed at Kunlun Jing’an Hotel: the location was convenient, with easy access to nearby food, transport and places to explore. The room was clean, comfortable and well kept, which made the stay restful after a day out. I came to Shanghai after staying at a four-star hotel in Hangzhou, and unfortunately, I found the service at Kunlun Jing’an Hotel lacking in comparison. My pregnant wife and I arrived at 5pm with one large luggage and hand-carry bags, but there was no doorman around to help us unload from the cab or bring our luggage into the hotel. There was also a male staff member standing on the steps (in the picture), but he did not offer to assist. For a hotel presented as five-star, this was quite surprising. When I mentioned it during check-in, the response was simply that the staff were probably too busy. There were also small service details that felt inconvenient. For example, umbrellas require a RMB 100 deposit if borrowed from the concierge, as they expect guests to use the umbrellas from the room wardrobe instead. Personally, I would rather not bring a wet umbrella back into the room to dry, so this arrangement felt less guest-friendly than expected. Food delivery was another area that could be improved. It would be much better if the hotel had a delivery robot to send ******* orders directly to the room, instead of guests having to go downstairs to collect from the ******* locker. The 4 star hotel in Hangzhou had one. The hotel itself was generally comfortable, but overall the service experience did not match what I expected from a so-called five-star hotel in Shanghai.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, surrounded by numerous mall restaurants, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient! Janet, Penny, and Aria all provided exceptionally attentive service! They were warm, thoughtful, and responded quickly – definitely worth praising! The room was comfortable, the bedding clean and soft, and the view was beautiful. For this price, the quality you get is amazing value for money.
