"The room was spacious, and the facilities were brand new. The view from the window was lovely, and the service was excellent. They even thoughtfully prepared a cake for my wife's birthday, especially Joanna, our butler, who provided impeccable service. The downsides were the lack of a kids' club and no children's pool area, which left the little ones a bit bored. As a two-Michelin-star restaurant, 'Paulaner' was quite disappointing in terms of taste, though the service was at least enthusiastic."

"The complimentary snacks and drinks available all day were so abundant, my stomach simply couldn't keep up! Plus, there were free cocktails in the evening! You definitely won't go hungry here! If you do find yourself peckish, you can always order room service, and for breakfast, you can choose whatever you like, whether it's Western or Chinese. The service is truly excellent. The hotel views are quite different between morning and evening, offering unique vibes. Strolling around the hotel or along the surrounding tree-lined streets, you can really feel the leisurely and relaxed atmosphere here. You could easily spend your entire stay within the hotel, enjoying its tranquility. They also offer a variety of activities like qipao dressing, essential oil sachet making, yoga, a gym, and spa services, all of which are wonderful experiences. The room was fantastic too, spotlessly clean. This time, I opted for the hotel's latex pillow, which offered great support and made for a better night's sleep. All the hotel staff, including the cleaning crew, were very friendly. Durrant at the front desk was particularly polite and enthusiastic. I absolutely loved my stay this time."

This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.

"Our two-night stay at Amanyangyun far exceeded our expectations; it's almost impossible to find fault with anything, from the service to the facilities. The day before check-in, I received a call from Ms. Ma at the front desk, inquiring about any special requests for our stay and sending me the hotel's dining menu. She even personally came out to warmly greet us upon arrival for check-in. Ms. Ma, a brilliant Shanghai native who excels in both substance and style, truly deserves commendation. All our meals—breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner at the Italian restaurant—were served by a wonderful lady named Ms. Lu, whose attentive and meticulous service left a deep impression. Overall, the proactive and enthusiastic service attitude and standard of the hotel staff we encountered were on par with high-end Japanese hotels, and distinctly superior to the service levels at the other two Aman properties in China. "I came to Shanghai for a weekend getaway. I originally booked a Deluxe Twin Room, but the front desk offered to upgrade me to a Club Suite since I was only staying one night, which was a pleasant surprise for my trip. The room decor was high-quality, with a warm and comfortable color scheme. The corner sofa in the suite's living room felt just like home. Staying on the 47th floor, the view was unobstructed; Jing'an Temple's golden roof was right below, and I could even see the Suzhou IFS. Kerry Centre, with my favorite RRL, was right downstairs. For breakfast, I went to the Club Lounge restaurant on the 55th floor. It wasn't crowded, and they offered a buffet with à la carte options – delicious!"

Our guests rate this hotel as one of the best hotels for cleanliness. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling on business.

"We had a fantastic stay at The St. Regis Shanghai Jingan. The staff were genuinely lovely — extremely professional, polite and attentive without ever being over the top. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to an amazing room, with incredible views over the city. The room was spotless and beautifully done, and the whole hotel has that elegant, sophisticated feel without feeling stuffy. A big plus for us was the location. It’s within walking distance of two metro stations, so getting around Shanghai was really easy. We also loved being away from the madness around the Bund. You’re still close to everything, but you get to come back to a much calmer part of the city. Breakfast was another highlight — huge variety, lots of freshly prepared dishes and plenty of choice. And a special mention for the team for letting us use the hotel facilities after check-out because we had a late flight. Very thoughtful touch and something we really appreciated. Beautiful hotel, great location, fantastic service and those views… We’d definitely stay here again."

I've been staying at the Peace Hotel for ten years now. I've celebrated my proposal, anniversaries, and birthdays here, and now with the birth of my child, we still come back every year for birthdays or anniversaries. This year, after moving abroad, I brought my family back to visit and chose the Peace Hotel again. The service has improved even further. From the moment we entered, the bellhops and front desk staff were incredibly attentive. We arrived at 10:30 AM, and because we had two young children, one only 10 months old, the front desk allowed us to check in early to rest. They then arranged for a baby cot, bathtub, bottle warmer, children's toiletries, and baby care products. Every interaction showed incredible care and attention to detail. I'm so grateful to all the staff for helping us have a perfect holiday. Finally, a special shout-out to the greeters at the entrance. Because there are so many tourists wanting to come in and look around, they constantly have to ask if people are guests or dining. The doors were almost constantly opening and closing, and questions being asked throughout the evening. Thank you!

This was my first stay at MGM Shanghai West Bund, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. A special thanks to Lumi from Guest Relations, and housekeeping staff Yang Shujing and Pan Biying. There was no tedious back-and-forth communication before my arrival, yet they remembered my slight preference for room orientation and had everything perfectly arranged upon check-in. The check-in process was efficient, without unnecessary formalities. They clearly explained the hotel's services and thoughtfully provided a tip about the crowded pool on weekends. During my stay, I needed some in-room amenities temporarily, and my request was quickly responded to and efficiently handled. The hotel has a strong artistic vibe throughout, with art installations everywhere, making it highly recognizable. The room was clean and refreshing, and the bathroom facilities were well-maintained. From the floor-to-ceiling windows, I had a panoramic view of the Huangpu River. The high-altitude pool offered expansive views, and a relaxing dip after a busy day was incredibly stress-relieving. While high-end hotel hardware is undoubtedly important, it's often the human service that leaves the deepest impression. This entire stay was easy and comfortable, definitely worth a visit. I will prioritize this hotel for future trips to Shanghai.

Having stayed at numerous top-tier five-star hotels both domestically and internationally, especially many in Shanghai, The Bellagio Shanghai is one of the very few that makes me want to return again and again. It's grand yet refined, with impeccable attention to detail. This stay was even better; Penny from guest services was beautiful and enthusiastic. She called and messaged me in advance to inquire about my check-in needs, and upon learning I was with a friend's family, she proactively arranged our rooms on the same floor and close to each other. She thoughtfully prepared fruit and toiletries for the children and even helped coordinate with their partner brand, Range Rover, for station drop-off, ensuring my friend's family and I had a perfect stay. The location is superb, convenient for both The Bund and North Bund, offering Suzhou Creek views, quiet yet central. Another highlight is the fantastic breakfast; The Bellagio's mini wontons are arguably the best in the country. This is a purely handwritten review, and I am extremely, extremely satisfied.

This hotel has a great design. Although I was a bit disappointed that they didn't proactively call me before check-in to ask about any special requests, the issue was quickly and satisfactorily resolved after I contacted Trip.com customer service for assistance. Overall, the service after checking in was commendable. The front desk staff were welcoming, the breakfast greeter was very friendly, and the seating arrangements were efficient and well-organized. The breakfast selection was quite varied, and the chef making eggs was very attentive, perfectly fulfilling guests' detailed requests. One area for improvement would be the tongs for the raw vegetables; they were too resistant and difficult to use. I'd suggest changing to a different style of tongs.

My family and I really loved the room's minimalist Scandinavian/Japanese style, with its natural wood and white tones. It's a welcome change from the 'nightclub' vibe of the W Hotel we stayed at before – I actually prefer this! The pillows are really soft and comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent; I especially enjoyed sitting in the 1st-floor restaurant, watching the diverse crowd from all over the world pass by on Nanjing Road. Our room had a side window with a view of the Oriental Pearl Tower, which is exactly why I booked this room. As for cleanliness, it goes without saying for a hotel of this caliber. The overall atmosphere is fantastic, and the best part is that you can truly relax and be yourself. Lewis, a staff member, was very professional and provided excellent service. Although the hotel doesn't have its own parking lot, they offer complimentary valet parking for one car per room, which was quite convenient. When we picked up the car, a few staff members even mentioned they were from my hometown, which was a nice touch. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai!

Fantastic stay in this hotel with spectacular view! The unique cliff view is definitely worth every penny! We have chosen a room with direct view to the waterfall. As our stay was on a Friday, the waterfall was not available which is bit to our disappointment. But waking up this morning (Sat), the waterfall is on. So nice! And so lucky we can catch the chance to take some more photos! At night, there is a lighting show in the open cliff area. So we taken our dinner out the balcony to enjoy the light show. Nice activity at night! The service of this hotel tops all experiences with hotels. When I checked in, the staff asked if can add my WeChat account for instant customer service purposes. Then I received tips for the nearby travel spots, dining assistance, caring services such as asking me if needs to take my food delivery up to the room for me and asking if I need another taller pillow etc. The complementary fruit platter and dessert and some freebie at time of checkout are indeed a bonus surprise.

An absolutely wonderful experience! **Facilities:** Even though it's an older hotel, I was initially worried the facilities might be outdated. But when I arrived, I realized there was no need to worry at all. The overall vibe is one of rich heritage and understated luxury, without feeling old-fashioned. I personally loved it. **Hygiene:** The hygiene was excellent; I didn't notice any issues. **Environment:** Simply fantastic. Both the hotel itself and the guests staying there collectively create an atmosphere that made me feel it was truly great value for money. This is a hotel with genuinely sincere service and a superb location, well worth experiencing. I absolutely loved it.

I made a last-minute decision to stay at this hotel, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The room offered a direct view of the Lujiazui 'Three-Piece Suit' skyline, including the Bund and the Oriental Pearl Tower – the entire panorama was right before my eyes. This stay was undoubtedly the most healing and unforgettable highlight of my trip, filled with comfort and warmth from start to finish, making it truly memorable. The hotel rooms were sophisticated and elegant, with a well-designed layout and exquisite, grand decor, showcasing quality in every detail. The room was clean, tidy, and bright, with a cozy and comfortable ambiance. Every small detail showed meticulous care, making me feel incredibly relaxed and completely fulfilling all my expectations for an ideal living space. What surprised me most was the hotel's Spago restaurant. The overall ambiance was perfect, with beautiful scenery and a unique style. Both the interior design and the atmosphere were striking. Dining here was not just a treat for the taste buds but also an ultimate visual feast. The romantic and soothing atmosphere made it my dream restaurant and one of the biggest surprises of this trip. The beauty of a journey, beyond the excellent environment, also comes from thoughtful and warm service. Here, I want to sincerely thank my four butlers: Frieda, Leo, Kirana, and Susanna. During my stay, they were consistently meticulous, attentive, and patient, always monitoring my experience and proactively addressing all my needs with professional and gentle service. Their thorough care and perfectly attentive service washed away the fatigue of travel, making me, a stranger in a foreign land, feel a long-lost sense of security and warmth, truly experiencing the ultimate feeling of being at home. The excellent environment, the stunning restaurant views, combined with perfect and heartwarming service, created a flawless stay. This short visit has left me with an abundance of wonderful memories, and I am already eagerly looking forward to my next return. I will definitely choose this place again in the future!
