TuomaxixingThe Fairmont Gold room is very spacious, featuring a separate entry area, a walk-in closet, and a well-appointed bathroom with a wet and dry separation, a vintage bathtub, and double sinks. The bedroom includes a large sofa and a desk, and the overall layout follows an inverted 'S' shape. Both the layout and decorative details show thoughtful design, exuding an old-world artistic charm.
This time, I stayed in a room facing Nanjing Road. Through the three bay windows, I could see the bustling crowds on the pedestrian street below, the silhouette of the Peace Hotel's South Tower opposite, and the large clock on the Custom House clock tower in the distance.
Almost every corner of the hotel tells a story: the grand corridor and octagonal lobby on the ground floor, the peace dove sculpture made of thousands of glazed tiles, the historic 'Chaplin Staircase' by the east entrance, the European old-money-style Victor Café, the Peace Museum tucked away on the mezzanine floor, and the legendary Jazz Bar hidden within the Jasmine Lounge. Taking the gleaming mosaic-tiled old elevator up to the 9th floor's Cathay Room, the rooftop bar offers panoramic views of the Bund. The Dragon & Phoenix Restaurant is adorned with auspicious dragons and phoenixes and eight blessings, while the Peace Hall, with its long space, high vaulted ceiling, and the legendary spring-loaded teak floor, still whispers tales of its past splendor.
Staying in a Gold room includes lounge access. We experienced both the afternoon tea and happy hour, and the food quality was good with a rich selection. The happy hour now also offers hot dinner items; while not as extensive as the Cathay Room buffet, the variety is still considerable. The biggest advantage is the tranquility—during my visit, there were rarely more than two or three tables of guests, allowing for a quiet and relaxing meal. The Gold Lounge's ambiance is excellent, continuing the hotel's Art Deco style with a Shanghai twist. The service staff are professional, proactive, and know how to maintain an appropriate distance.
The Jazz Bar was another highlight of this trip. The elderly jazz band, famous for holding a Guinness World Record, is quite well-known. After dinner, we went for a drink and listened to some music. While the performance and the female singer's vocals weren't stunning, the atmosphere was truly unique. Upon entering, the dapper maître d', with slicked-back hair, warmly escorted us to our seats; the bar staff were skillful in recommending drinks; and the handsome bartender’s movements were swift and precise. Watching the white-haired musicians on stage deliver piece after piece, I felt a genuine sense of disorientation, as if time had rewound several decades.

I'd been looking forward to staying at the Kimpton Shanghai Qiantan for a while, and I finally got the perfect opportunity to experience it for a night.
While the hotel isn't huge, its design aesthetic is by far the strongest I've encountered in any hotel, surpassing even the Kimptons in London and Suzhou. The design of all the public areas isn't just refined and beautiful; it's captivating, almost predatory.
The guest rooms feature a sleek, black metallic finish. The minibar, TV screen, and desk are all electrically controlled and can be raised or lowered. The leather sofa has a metallic sheen, though it felt a bit short to lounge on. In the center of the room, there's a fireplace, with crystal lights mimicking dancing flames late at night.
Even the toothbrush holders and cups in the bathroom are metal.
The hotel lobby is strikingly high-ceilinged. Tastefully placed blankets on the black sofas, a predominantly black background with red accents, and sparkling handicrafts encased in glass create an enchanting and almost surreal atmosphere. On the fifth floor, the living room is dominated by a blood-red, lip-shaped sofa that commands attention, creating immense artistic tension with the surrounding marble coffee tables and leather sofas.
The Western restaurant on the eighth floor gleams, and the bar opposite, despite lacking windows, is incredibly dazzling. Behind the bar, rows upon rows of bottles in the embedded, illuminated wine cabinet are absolutely stunning.
The ninth floor boasts an infinity pool with a view of the West Bund.
On the downside: The internet was unstable and slow. Also, on the night I checked in, it was the basketball finals, but the TV signal kept cutting in and out.

Guest UserHonestly, this stay far exceeded my expectations. The hotel's riverside view was delightful, and the artistic decor throughout was unique. The public areas were clean and tidy. Our room was meticulously cleaned, with brand-new, complete facilities, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a particularly quiet night's rest.
Cici and Zora provided attentive follow-up throughout. Before arrival, they proactively contacted us about our itinerary and adjusted the room as needed. Upon check-in, they thoroughly explained the hotel's services. They handled luggage storage and extra toiletries efficiently and with polite, gentle service. With both great facilities and thoughtful service, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Shanghai.

牛灵芝Guest Feedback & Appreciation
Hotel: Bellagio
Staff Member Recognized: Mr. Gary
I have stayed at Bellagio on numerous occasions, both personally and while hosting business partners. Overall, the hotel’s facilities are good and suitable for business travelers. However, I have consistently felt that the service quality does not always match the standard of the facilities.
From my observation, many members of the service team are very young, with some being university students or interns. While they are polite, enthusiastic, and willing to help, they understandably lack practical experience. As a result, there have been occasions where commitments made by one staff member were not followed through, requests were delayed, or guests received little or no update on the progress. For example, some service requests took more than 30 minutes before any response or feedback was provided.
During my most recent stay, however, I experienced a noticeable difference because of Mr. Gary.
Unlike my previous stays, where feedback often ended without any follow-up, Mr. Gary responded promptly whenever an issue was raised. More importantly, he consistently followed up until the matter was resolved. Whenever an immediate solution was not available, he quickly proposed practical alternatives to ensure that my needs were met. His sense of ownership and commitment to guest satisfaction were clearly evident.
One example was when I was using the hotel’s meeting room. The meeting room display only supported HDMI, while most modern laptops now use Type-C connections. The hotel did not have a Type-C-to-HDMI adapter available. Upon noticing this, Mr. Gary immediately arranged for the use of a hotel computer as an alternative, allowing my meeting to continue without interruption. This was a thoughtful and effective solution that demonstrated excellent customer service and problem-solving ability.
There was also an occasion when I requested a clothes rack for my room. After waiting for more than 30 minutes, it still had not been delivered. Once I informed Mr. Gary, he immediately investigated the matter, ensured the request was fulfilled, and sincerely apologized for the delay.
On another occasion, I requested express laundry collection. Unfortunately, the garments were not collected until the following day. After I informed Mr. Gary, he immediately arranged for the issue to be handled. As the delay resulted from the hotel’s oversight, the express service charge was waived. I appreciated both the prompt recovery and the willingness to take responsibility for the mistake.
I would also like to offer a suggestion regarding the hotel’s laundry service. I believe there is still room for improvement in handling premium garments. Many high-end clothing brands use removable care labels for comfort, meaning the garments no longer have washing instructions attached. At several other international hotels, the laundry teams are experienced enough to identify the appropriate cleaning method based on the fabric and garment construction, supported by more advanced laundry equipment and processes. At Bellagio, however, the laundry team appeared less confident in handling such items. I hope the hotel will continue investing in staff training and equipment upgrades to further improve this service.
Overall, Bellagio offers very good facilities and provides a comfortable environment for both business and leisure travelers. While there are still opportunities to strengthen service consistency across the team, I would like to specifically recognize Mr. Gary for his professionalism, responsiveness, initiative, and strong sense of ownership.
His proactive attitude, effective communication, and genuine commitment to solving guests’ problems significantly improved my experience during this stay. Employees like Mr. Gary truly represent the level of hospitality that guests remember, and I sincerely hope the hotel recognizes and encourages more team members to demonstrate the

_Alano_My stay at The Shanghai EDITION was absolutely perfect! The hotel's location is superb, within walking distance to Nanjing Road and The Bund. The overall decor is chic and minimalist, and the room offers a fantastic view. The Le Labo amenities, soft bedding, and meticulous cleanliness really show attention to detail.
Check-in was smooth thanks to Winnie at the front desk, who was incredibly gentle and professional. She was very efficient, proactively told me about the hotel and breakfast times, patiently answered my questions about room types and parking, and even gave me tips on nearby attractions. Her service was attentive and thoughtful, without being overly formal, which made me feel very comfortable. The hotel facilities are excellent, the breakfast spread is extensive, and the rooftop bar offers breathtaking night views. The overall service standard is consistently high. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai, and a special thanks to Winnie for her thoughtful hospitality!

Guest UserThe Sapphire Room is definitely a lot better than the Ruby Room.
Brought my family here for lunch on a weekend. The ambiance is great, quite elegant and quiet. We arrived early, so there weren't many people around.
The dishes have a nice fusion cuisine touch.
The Roasted Pigeon: The skin was incredibly crispy, clearly freshly roasted, much crispier than what you usually find elsewhere. The skin alone was amazing.
The Snow Pea and Honey Pepper Beef Cubes: The snow peas were the star, truly glistening. The beef cubes were well-done but very tender.
The Rich Chicken Broth with Bamboo Shoots and Old Tofu: This local specialty old tofu was quite unique.
The Seafood Poached Rice: Very fresh, packed with ingredients, and hearty.

Booked this hotel for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary and their birthdays. The hotel found out and immediately arranged for a Peninsula cake and fruit. The cake was so delicious we ate it all before I could take a picture! My parents mentioned they liked the tea bags, and the staff promptly provided more for them. They also quickly came to teach them how to use the coffee machine. My parents were very happy. The hotel is beautiful and luxurious, and the location is superb. We also went to the jazz bar on the 14th floor to see the night view, which was absolutely stunning.

Guest UserOur stay was incredibly comfortable. The room was clean and tidy with a great view. Our butlers, Deslin and Lily, provided attentive and thoughtful service, proactively following up on all our needs and responding quickly. Any issues we had were promptly and properly resolved. Their considerate care was just right, and the cleaning was very timely, with towels replaced swiftly. This made the whole trip feel very pleasant and is highly recommended. It's also worth mentioning that the cleaning staff on our floor on the morning of our departure were very friendly, once again highlighting the hotel's meticulous service. I hope the hotel can pay attention to the showerhead and sink faucet in the room, as the water pressure is too strong and often splashes out, getting clothes wet.
The room offers a different Banyan Tree themed incense or essential oil (optional) daily.

Anonymous UserOur stay was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, Susanna at reception greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. Our butler, Frieda, gave us a clear and detailed tour of the room's amenities and even thoughtfully prepared some milk for us – such a nice touch. Throughout our stay, Amber was incredibly responsive and efficiently handled all our requests. The professional and genuine service from these three housekeepers truly stood out.
The room itself was fantastic, with excellent natural light and a superb view overlooking the Bund. It was impeccably clean and elegantly furnished, with all the facilities we could need and flawless hardware quality.
Overall, the St. Regis on the Bund excels in both its warm service and high-quality facilities. Highly recommended!

Nestled discreetly amidst the bustling streets of Nanjing West Road, this hotel is right next to HKRI Taikoo Hui, offering incredibly convenient access to transport and shopping. The overall design perfectly blends Eastern Zen aesthetics with modern luxury. The lobby's bamboo garden creates a wonderfully atmospheric setting, and the guest rooms feature exquisite soft furnishings. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing is exceptional, allowing you to enjoy a serene and pleasant escape in the heart of a vibrant city.
My stay was exceptionally comfortable, and I'd like to extend a special thanks to the two front desk staff, Emma and Fiona, as well as concierge Lucas.
Emma and Fiona handled the check-in process efficiently and smoothly. They were gentle and approachable, meticulously explaining the room amenities, breakfast times, and hotel benefits. Concierge Lucas was professional and thoughtful, assisting with car arrangements. I look forward to returning next time!
