FFajrina HMWe had a pleasant stay at Moyu Movie Hotel and truly enjoyed our experience.
The staff were really helpful and attentive, especially when it came to helping us order Halal food using the ******* app. All we needed to do was transfer the payment via Alipay, and they kindly helped arrange the rest for us. Our food was even delivered by a delivery robot, which was a fun and convenient experience.
On one occasion, we were unable to transfer payment via Alipay, and the staff were so kind and understanding to accept cash payment instead, which we truly appreciated. We also got free drinks from them.
The hotel also provides free laundry washer and dryer, making it very convenient for longer stays. They accept packages on behalf of guests, and the parcel handling was very well organized, with items sorted by phone number, making collection easy and hassle-free.
The location is another big plus. The hotel is within walking distance (around 5 minutes) to Middle Huaihai Road Metro Station (Line 13), which made it very convenient for wandering around and exploring Shanghai.
Overall, it was a comfortable and hassle-free stay, and we would definitely consider staying here again.

Room: Fantastic
Beds were huge & comfortable - we had an upgrade to a larger room. The shower and shower toiletries were so refreshing.
Towels were lovely soft & clean.
Breakfast was the best I have had for a long time. Lived the rice, fried eggs, noodles , fruit vegetables. Even clams one morning. Great variety of drinks.
The chief and staff were very happy & helpful.
Extremely clean.
I used the laundry room which also had a tumble dryer. This was useful due to travelling on to Beijing afterwards.
The other family rooms have slides and are duplex.
Sue the swimming pool is great in the summer.
Excellent price , excellent choice for Families going to Disneyland and other local trips.
Loved being able to go along the local street to see Shanghai local food, shops and life.
Seems to be a family run business which is lovely to support.
Location is great for the local shops , food, 7/11 supermarket for snacks & drinks
Restaurants and food for locals which was delicious and a great price.
Shuttle bus excellent. Taxi ( Didi) was £3 back from Disneyland . £11 to Shanghai Greenhouse Gardens ( evening ticket £5.40) this is an amazing trip not to be missed.

Hygiene: Everything else was acceptable, but the rim of the trash can had noticeable stains and was moldy, which hadn't been cleaned.
In addition, the room was located next to a corridor entrance, and the sound of the delivery robot crossing the threshold at night was very loud, so I couldn't get a good night's rest.

Hot water by has was super good.
Too bad that i dis not stay long enough to cook.
No cooking item is in the room however if staying long i would buy one.
Construction like noise surprised me but at night was quiet.
Front desk people are so friendly. I would go back there again though my shanghai friend said i was so far from city.
Our main purpose was Shanghai Disneyland….

GGuest UserGreat hotel with excellent service and a very convenient location. The staff were friendly and helpful, and overall the stay was very comfortable.
The only downside is that for rooms located farther inside, there are stairs in between, which makes it a bit inconvenient when carrying large luggage.
Aside from that, everything was very good and I would still recommend this hotel.

MM256421****I came to Shanghai for the Biennale this time, and when I was booking a hotel online, I saw that this one was very close to the exhibition venue. The reviews looked good, so I chose it. Since I was traveling alone, I booked a single room. To my surprise, the environment was quite nice, and the service was excellent—warm and attentive. Although the room was small, it was well-equipped, and the shared bathrooms were very clean. There's a Western restaurant on the first floor with a pleasant atmosphere. When I checked in, I mentioned I was visiting the exhibition hall next door, and the staff specifically reminded me that I could get a 15% discount on food orders with my exhibition ticket stub. Hehe 😁 Overall, it was a great experience. If I have the chance to visit Shanghai again, I'll definitely choose to stay here! I highly recommend it to everyone.

JJuju1978Location is great, they provide laundry soaps/laundry machine which is great. Breakfast is so so. We had a room overlooking a side alley and we changed the room. The passage to the new room was wet and dripping, there was mold. It was actually disgusting to see that. Our stay was ok, i do not want to bash them, but surely it is not good health wise for your clients to sleep in a moldy place.
The staff are ok.

Mmatchameow_·I recently stayed at JI Hotel in Shanghai, and overall it was a solid experience. The hotel was clean, modern, and well maintained — the room was tidy, the bed comfortable, and the daily housekeeping kept everything in good condition.
The location was very convenient: easy access to subway/metro and public transport, which made getting around the city — sightseeing, shopping, dinner — a breeze.
The staff were friendly and helpful, with a generally professional and welcoming attitude. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and services (like laundry or breakfast if offered) added to the convenience.
That said, a couple of minor drawbacks: some of the rooms felt a bit compact (especially if you have a lot of luggage), and depending on which branch you stay at, nightlife or street noise from nearby restaurants/bars could be noticeable.
Overall: Good value for money. JI Hotel is a dependable choice if you want a central, convenient, no-fuss base in Shanghai — especially for city trips or short stays. I’d recommend it, and would consider staying there again.
