CCiky2023Our romantic winter getaway began the moment we stepped into Dino Starry Resort, immediately feeling a warm welcome. Unlike a typical hotel's impersonal atmosphere, the staff here felt like old friends, making us feel right at home and completely relaxed.
Getting to Disneyland was a breeze with their Mercedes shuttle, which departed at our pre-arranged time. Breakfast was plentiful, and our room was spotless and tidy. The overall environment was lovely, and there were even small animals in the backyard that we could feed for free.
The biggest surprise, though, was experiencing authentic winter fun. We gathered around a traditional earthen pot stove, warming ourselves and chatting, or enjoyed a steaming hotpot cooked in a vintage hanging pot. On sunny days, we even had a lively outdoor BBQ with plenty of smoke and laughter. From the rustic charm of the earthen pot to the nostalgic feel of the hanging pot and the vibrant energy of the BBQ, this place had it all.
Dino Starry is more than just a place to stay; it's a wonderful space where you can unwind, leave your weariness behind, and relive cherished moments. Come and gather with your loved ones here, and collect a whole winter's worth of warmth amidst delicious food and laughter!

LLingling Kotchanan Tanrattanakul TanrattanakulJust the first night we had problems. From 11 PM onwards, there was a lot of noise coming from what sounded like a bar outside. Both the music and people talking and laughing loudly could be heard clearly in our room, even though we double-checked and the windows were tightly shut.
We arrived at the hotel at 10 PM that night, very tired. It was our first time in Shanghai, and we had an early flight from Chiang Mai (waking up at 4 AM to get to the airport) and walked a lot upon arrival. Discovering this situation made us want to change rooms. We even had to cancel our tour plans for the next morning because we couldn't sleep. We called the front desk for earplugs, but we're not used to them and couldn't sleep with them in. Thankfully, the hotel helped us switch rooms first thing in the morning.
After we changed rooms, we didn't encounter any more issues.
The hotel's location is good.
The bed is comfortable.
The hot water is good.
The service is excellent.
We would come back again.

GGuest UserWe booked for airport transfer from the hotel via we chat. They response very quickly. However the shuttle got problem on the way and could not make it to the airport but they informed us quickly and try to help in every way. The service and their responsibility are impressive. During our stay, the front and the bell are very helpful. They try to help for every request we ask. They cannot speak English but that was not the problem, with translation equipment, the communication is no more the problem.
The facilities are superb. Shower with good water flow, easily adjusted. I really love their shampoo with Sandalwood fragrance, good quality. We stay in zootopia room. The room was designed with nice details. The mattress and blanket are good quality. They even have massage chair at the lobby, very thoughtful for the long day at Disneyland.
The food are mostly Chinese way, but they have some selection for kids and foreigner. The fried vegetables are tasty, freshly from the family garden in front of the hotel. Our family enjoy the breakfast.
The location is good for the ones who would like to have a touch with local not the city. Many local restaurants and supermarkets around the hotel. Easily access to Disneyland. Their Disney shuttle system via we chat is very effective. I picked this hotel because they provide many rounds of Disney transfers. And even we pick other time, taxi is just 18-20 yuan, 10 min away. The hotel is quite far away from Shanghai city 1+ hours by taxi. But it is in the middle between city and Shanghai astronomy museum, which suits us well.

AAnonymous UserOverall, my stay was pretty decent. The location was super convenient, the price was reasonable, and the facilities were generally good for the cost.
However, there are a few areas that could definitely use some improvement. For instance, adding a hook for bags in the bathroom and providing a clothes dryer would be really handy.
More importantly, I think the hotel needs to be stricter with enforcing its house rules. During my stay, there were a few situations that made me quite uncomfortable. For example, while I was eating in the common area on the third floor, there were strangers intimately kissing, which felt inappropriate for a public space. Also, there were foreign guests being loud in the hallways during quiet hours. On top of that, I noticed both Chinese and other foreign guests frequently coughing without wearing masks, which not only disturbed my rest but also raised concerns about hygiene.
Furthermore, the lights weren't turned off at the designated time, and some of my roommates were constantly entering and exiting the room late at night, making noise from opening their luggage, lockers, and bags, which disrupted my sleep. The room environment wasn't very peaceful, and some roommates were quite unfriendly and lacked basic courtesy. The common areas were also a bit messy with luggage and other items left lying around.
While I understand that not all these issues are solely the hotel's responsibility, I still suggest that better management and stricter rule enforcement would significantly improve the overall guest experience.
Also, some of the staff had trouble understanding basic English words, like ”sheets,” which made communication a bit challenging at times.
Finally, when I arrived, the escalator was broken. The staff initially seemed a bit hesitant to help, but they did assist me in the end. I get that it might not have been her job, but the broken escalator wasn't my fault either.
On a positive note, I'd like to thank the housekeeping staff for consistently keeping the place clean, and I'm also grateful to the front desk staff for lending me an adaptor.

It offers great value for money, with prices more affordable than similar hotels in the area. However, the stay experience has noticeable drawbacks: the soundproofing is extremely poor – you can even feel vibrations from snoring next door. The central air conditioning, even when turned off, generates continuous noise, making it impossible to sleep peacefully. The mirrored blue indicator light cannot be turned off and is very glaring at night. Also, the mattress is quite firm. It's suitable for those who prioritize location and budget, but those who require a good sleeping environment and comfort should think twice. The breakfast is decent; it's cheaper to book it with the room. Adding it separately costs 38, which is a bit pricey.

Not only close to the bund in short walking distance
But also perfect for the view along the road way
There is a lot of alley to walk to the bund from People square area, this alley ( i think it called Jiujiang road) has restuarants, the church and small green space to sit and rest for a while.
Back to the hotel itself, the hotel is clean and comfort, small room but there is cozy enough for a rest after city tour.
I got the room without window from my booking and i dont like because i like to get some fresh air. I pay a little extra to upgrade to Superior Queen room ( i recommend this room type, next stay i will book this room type in advance to make sure i get the same easy cozy room for myself) i open window all day still no noise disturb.
Cleanliness quality is good, amenities is enough for me. smart room design.
And one tip. If you walk back from the bund to the hotel, you will see O Sole Mio it’s Italian Restaurant and it served both shanghai vibes and delicious dishes. Delight and fullfil your stomach then walk back to the hotel. Recommended.
