We were looking for a cheap hotel to rest & shower as our flight is at 2AM the next day so this hotel serves that purpose. Expectation: it's a BUDGET hotel (at least the cheapest with decent quality we could find that's near to metro station). Might not be suitable if you're actually looking for a truly comfortable rest because it's quite small & there is a smell every time we enter the room, but the smell disappeared after a few minutes so it's bearable for us. Cleanliness was decent, could be improved (The main floor area where you walk is clean, just the corner beside the bed is dusty). Very good water pressure, hot water inconsistent but not a huge problem for us, toilet is clean enough, no bad smell. Very close to Dapuqiao metro which is convenient.

Pudong Airport shuttle service: The pick-up point is right at the departure level of the terminal, making it very easy to get on the shuttle. However, the shuttle can only stop by the main road and not directly at the hotel entrance, so you'll need to walk about 30 meters. If you have heavy luggage without wheels, you might want to consider this (this time, a hotel staff member helped me carry my cardboard box, which was a huge help, so my experience was pretty good). Cleanliness: The room was very clean, and there were no issues with the bedding. Ambiance: For this price point, it's considered good. Service: The front desk staff was very thoughtful and had an excellent attitude. They even called to remind me in the morning so I wouldn't oversleep and miss my flight. Facilities: Hot water and in-room amenities were complete, and the air conditioning was very cool.

INSTRUCTIONS: The hotel uses a shared entrance with another hotel. This was ultra confusing and I had to ask people for help. It's on 5th floor.  Lets starts with the good: it's clean, has hot water and clean towels and bedding. Bad: Is more like accommodation for construction workers. Smoke residue in room, people smoking in the lobby. The room is badly insulated from cold air going in the room therefore making the AC work poorly.  Next time I wouldn't choose this hotel.

The location is close to the train station, and the environment is decent. The room was a bit small, but the cleaning was good. The air conditioning worked very well. There's no elevator, so you have to use the stairs. The mattress was alright, and there was plenty of hot water. All the core functions of a chain hotel are in place, definitely much better than a small guesthouse. The small room size is normal, considering the price.

First of all, the hotel's location is excellent, less than 500 meters from Line 2 of the subway, making it very convenient to get to the airport, People's Square, and the Bund. The transportation is truly convenient, making my travels very easy. There are several large shopping malls nearby, offering plenty of dining and shopping options. The hotel staff were very patient, telling us about good places to shop and eat. The room was very nice, and the facilities were complete. Considering the price in Shanghai, it's very reasonable. This trip to Shanghai was very enjoyable, and I would definitely choose Pudding Hotel again if I had the chance; it offers great value for money.

A budget hotel that meets basic accommodation needs and is clean and hygienic. I'm satisfied with the pillows and family room bed and room area, hair dryer, and TV. The only drawback is that the shower head is broken and it is recommended to fix it. It is recommended to bring your own toiletries, including toilet paper. The front desk recommended Jinshan City Beach and Fishing Village, both worth visiting, and the Jinshan Museum is also good.

Hotel staffs are really friendly and helpful. They were able to check me in early (you have to ask them and only if there is a room available). It’s a 15-17 minutes walk to Zhongsan Park Station, and it connects you to the cities and airports. Neighbourhood is very safe, as a solo female traveler I feel very safe walking here. There are shopping malls, restaurants, Lawson and Family Marts, all are within walking distances. Would definitely stay here again if I am going to visit Shanghai again.

Service: The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful, assisting with our luggage and responding promptly to any issues. Cleanliness: The room was exceptionally clean and tidy. Even after our extended stay, the cleaning was thorough, and everything was replaced with new items. Excellent!

Overall, it's not bad. The service attitude is very good. As for the bathroom, because the weather is getting hotter, there is a peculiar smell in the pipes. There is nothing we can do about it. As for the environment, there are restaurants and food courts outside. The facilities are quite complete. Everything is there. I hope the sewer can find a way to solve the problem in the future. That would be even better. When I go to Minhang Jiaotong University in the future, I will continue to choose to stay at Pudding Hotel
