"Service: Extremely attentive. Perhaps because there weren't many Asians or because my name is unusual in English, the staff greeted me by name the next morning at breakfast. Facilities: Basically adequate, quite acceptable for a 200-year-old building undergoing renovation, though not comparable to modern 5-star facilities. Environment: It felt like living in a palace, with gardens to explore freely and magnificent public areas. While you'd normally visit a palace and only have to follow a route, here you could explore and go anywhere."

"Excellent hotel overall. I stayed here over the summer for a wedding, everything was spot on. The rooms were clean, the staff were incredible, the amenities were good and the hotel was in a good location, you could easily get a cab and also park a car if you hired one. The breakfast was also not bad. All the staff spoke English and were beyond professional so it was very easy to communicate. The area is okay, there are some restaurants nearby if you wish to walk to one but there aren't any local shops within walking distance. The only negative point I can think of for this hotel would be that you only get a complimentary water on your arrival and then everything else must be bought. In fairness however, this seems to be a Portugal wide theme and not specific to this hotel."

The cozy living room immediately made me feel at home. The attic room, although small, was sufficient for solo travelers like myself. Visiting during the non-peak season allowed me to enjoy a private bathroom. The clean kitchen, complete with a microwave, was a convenient feature. Communication for check-in and check-out was smooth, with quick responses from the friendly host. Despite arriving early, the host graciously allowed me to leave my bag for a few hours, showcasing their warm hospitality. I highly recommend MouraLua for a comfortable and welcoming stay in Sintra."
