Pestana Sintra Golf - Conference & Spa Resort ★★★★
"A family resort full of kids, probably suitable for their needs, not ours, unfortunately. Not really the best experience for a couple trying to enjoy their stay. Both inside and outside pool full of children, ended up not swimming at all. There was only a buffet dinner available at the restaurant or some small snacks at the bar. We paid 15eur each for a ”caesar” salad, with the ingredients: lettuce, bread crutons, some burned bacon, chicken resembling a prebaked chicken from Lidl unfrosted from the freezer, and caesar sauce. Breakfast had some more choices, and gladly some fresh fruits, but no fresh juices like in all other hotels during our stay in Portugal, only the cheapest orange juice you can probably get. Even though the staff was very nice, the resort is quite run down looking and rooms very basic. Probably an ok stay for a family with smaller kids, couples try somewhere else."
Sintra1012 Boutique Guesthouse ★★★
"Lovely place, very large and comfy. The only note is the light, dump smell, typical for old houses."
Pousada Queluz ★★★★
"The hotel is located across the road from the National Palace of Queluz. It was once a part of the National Palace of Queluz and later became a hotel. The front desk staff was friendly and enthusiastic, the room was clean and tidy, and the value for money was high. There were few sockets in the room, and a bedside lamp had to be disabled when charging the phone. Also, the water pressure was slightly low, which was not very comfortable."
Passeio Sintra Collection ★★★★
"My husband and I stayed here earlier this month for our 10 year wedding anniversary. The hotel itself is boutique and well appointed. Very chic, and despite being right in town near the train station there was no noise. Super walkable to many spots. They have continental breakfast and free dedicated parking spots if you rented a car (like us). João and the rest of the of staff were all very friendly and helpful. The girls even wished me a happy international women’s day. I would absolutely recommend to others and hope to visit again."
Arribas Sintra Hotel ★★★★
"Superb ocean view, cozy atmosphere, and good food."
Hotel Ibis Lisboa Sintra ★★★
"It is a very convenience place in Sintra with an excellent B'fast and clean and tidy rooms. On the other hand the road net is very convenience to move within Sintra and some Lisbon areas ."
Live Sintra Boutique Guest House ★★★★
"The hot water wasn't working properly, and the worst part is that the owner knew it and didn't try to fix it beforehand. When we complained, the only solution she offered was to cancel the second night and refund us for that night—disgraceful. It's frankly inconvenient having to wait half an hour or even half an hour for the water to come out lukewarm and then showering like that in the freezing cold."
Flag Hotel Lisboa-Sintra ★★
"The location is not great, and there are no restaurants nearby. The room was clean and comfortable. It's fine if you're just using it for sleeping."
Sintra Boutique Hotel ★★★★
"The small hotel is just lovely. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The picture of the hotel isn't as nice as the hotel really is. Great location! Breakfast is delish as well."

Quinta Das Murtas B&B
"We were arranged on the third floor of the main building. It was a bit difficult to carry the luggage, but fortunately the guy at the front desk helped us. The triple room we stayed in was very simple and a bit shabby. The bathroom was so dark that you couldn't even turn around. The one-bedroom apartment my colleague lives in is quite large, with a nice environment. There is also a sofa bed in the living room, so it can accommodate 3 people."
Rosegarden Essence Sintra - by Unlock Hotels
"The location of this hotel is good with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We were not very happy that at the 2nd day of our stay there were only a few rolls left at breakfast. The girl in the kitchen is very friendly but she was the only one in the kitchen. The breakfast is being served till 10 am and we came at 9 am. For the 3 of us there were 4 mini rolls and one croissant. Of the fruits, one small slice of melon was left and that was all. We asked for more bread but there was no more. When we wanted to share this with a manager in the hotel, there was no one to be found. Another guest was also quite annoyed because someone promised to help her to book a taxi and she couldn´t find anyone either. We left the hotel by leaving the keys on the outside of the door of our rooms. Quite strange in my opinion....... Unfortunately our least favorite place to stay on our roadtrip through Portugal."
Azen Cool House
Sintra Rural Home - Cerrado da Serra
"A truly exceptional, top-tier location. Sublime architecture with fantastic decor. Heated pool with a fantastic little farm! Spectacular atmosphere and service with super dedicated and helpful staff. Convenient location with easy access to Lisbon and Sintra. I loved it and will definitely return for holidays or business trips."
Vila Gale Collection Sintra
"A very disappointing hotel; the quality was poor, and the staff were very lax. I would definitely not recommend it for this price."
Penha Longa Resort
"I actually came here to film a promotional video. But I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel: no welcome guests upon arrival, no explanation about the hotel, leaky windows, ceilings, some areas neglected, definitely showing their age, the men's sauna didn't work, the whirlpool didn't work, the swimming pool has a maximum depth of 90 cm, the room furnishings are very basic, no beach bag provided, not even upon request, hardly any toiletries, no umbrella, no tour of the hotel grounds, not even upon request, and so on and so forth. The breakfast is very good, but the rest is at best a 3-4 star level. In short: if you're out golfing all day and only come to the hotel for breakfast and dinner, then it's okay."
Cerrado Das Fontainhas Spa
"Absolutely stunning villas in the Portuguese hills, the location is beautiful and so is the accommodation. The staff are welcoming and friendly and all our needs were catered to. The pool and spa facilities are fantastic. Cannot recommend visiting here enough, we stayed here as a wedding party and have had the most amazing time. Thank you to the team at Cerrado dos Fontainhas for making our trip so memorable!"
Lawrences Hotel
"The hotel is located in the heart of Sintra, within walking distance of four main attractions, making it very convenient. As one of the oldest hotels in Europe, it boasts a rich cultural heritage and offers exceptional comfort. The breakfast is particularly outstanding and plentiful. The hotel service is excellent. Highly recommended."
Chalet Saudade
"Very convenient and the breakfast is very good👍."
Valverde Sintra Palácio de Seteais - the Leading Hotels of the World
"This was a true gem! The atmosphere instantly transported me back to the 90s – cozy, stylish, and with a unique charm. I felt like a real princess. The staff were incredibly welcoming; huge props for that level of service. The breakfasts were absolutely delightful, just like the overall vibe of the place. Definitely keep this hotel in mind – it's absolutely worth your attention!"
Casa do Vinho Sintra Guest House
"Excellent stay overall. Good facilities, close to the town centre."
