2-Star Hotels in Hohhot

I haven't written a review in ages, but this hotel successfully reignited my desire to. Turns out, people really do laugh when they're speechless. 1. First, the cleanliness. I chose this hotel because it had just opened, and as someone with OCD, I thought it would be very clean. But it was quite a surprise. On my first night, after showering and preparing for bed, I habitually lifted the covers to check for hair. I found two hairs on the bed and cleaned them with alcohol wipes. Later, I found another hair next to the pillow on the headboard. After wiping it with a wipe, as the sheets gradually became damp, a black object appeared under the sheets, which made me laugh in exasperation—there was another hair under the sheets! 😁 The shower area might not have been cleaned properly, because on my first night shower, I noticed dust starting to appear on the floor near the wall, away from the showerhead, as the water flowed. 2. Environment and Facilities The location is on a street, seemingly in the ground floor of a residential complex, so it was very quiet. The downside is that there are many parked cars on both sides of the street downstairs, so getting a taxi in the morning means getting stuck in traffic for a while before even reaching the main road. The room facilities are new, which is good. However, is the furniture arrangement in this twin room reasonable? The bed by the window is right next to the window (Figure 5), and the curtains aren't automatic, making it difficult to draw them. Wouldn't it be more user-friendly to move the sofa from the wall near the bathroom to the window? Also, I want to say that for a public environment like a hotel, instead of spending money on a smart toilet, they should install automatic curtains. Who actually wants to use a smart toilet in a public place??? The hot water in the shower, even at the highest setting, isn't very hot. The most ridiculous thing is that I finished work at 11:30 and went to shower, and there was no hot water!!! The water flow was very weak, and the water temperature was even lower than body temperature. I finished showering like that 😃 This is why my anger suddenly increased again after my initial anger subsided. 3. Breakfast The breakfast prices are really inexpensive, but the selection is extremely limited. Furthermore, the restaurant's design reflects a strong sense of self-interest, with no indication of a customer-centric approach. For example, napkins are placed uniformly at the entrance; there are no napkins on individual tables. If you need napkins, you have to take enough at once. This was my first stay at a Hanting Hotel, and it left a very deep impression on me. Finally, I want to say that people can genuinely laugh when they're speechless 😃😃😃😃😃

The most beautiful budget friendly hotel I've ever stayed in! The size of the rooms is impressive and the interior decor is beautiful. It was really enjoyable to stay at a place that had traditional mongolian architecture and accents. The beds were huge and super comfortable. I really loved the view at night time - the roof across from the hotel lights up. The shower and bathroom were completely modern and impressively clean. I loved the different shower heads, sensor lights, and sensor toilet. Even in the middle of winter when it was -15c~-5c outside, the room was always warm and the shower was always hot. The hotel is situated near the DaZhao temple and is close to local restaurants and shops. There is also a bus stop outside that lets you easily get to other areas in the city. The hotel is on the 3rd floor but staff can help carry luggage upstairs which was kind of them. It was also very easy to check in and out of the hotel, even though I couldn't speak Chinese. I hope I'm lucky enough to return to Hohhot one day just to experience this hotel again. It felt like luxury for a small price.

The old street here really comes alive at night – there's a great buzz everywhere with lots of activities happening. The cleanliness and facilities met all my needs. When I asked the staff for recommendations for grasslands, she gave me several options based on her own experience, which helped me avoid any bad choices. There are also tons of great restaurants nearby, and both the temple and the famous 'ice-boiled lamb' restaurant are within walking distance.

A pleasant surprise in Hohhot - highly recommended ⭐⭐ Had a short but very eventful stay in Hohhot, and Bo Ai Hotel was the highlight. I’d booked 3 standard windowless rooms, but the facility manager proactively upgraded us to windowed rooms on arrival - no extra charge, no request needed. That kind of unprompted service is rare these days. The property itself is well maintained and clearly recently renovated. Rooms are clean, quiet, and the facilities work as they should - no “out of order” signs or maintenance issues, which I’ve come to expect more of at this price point. Staff stood out. Genuinely friendly, responsive, and they’d even arranged small gifts for our kids without us asking. Those little touches matter when you’re traveling with family. For the price, it’s exceptional value. If you’re visiting Hohhot and want a comfortable, hassle-free base without paying for a big chain, Bo Ai Hotel delivers. I spent several nights at this hotel and can only highly recommend it. The location is fantastic, it was just steps away from the metro and numerous bus stops, making it incredibly easy to get around. It's also very close to the Dazhao Temple and the Five Pagodas, which was a real bonus for exploring the local heritage without wasting time in transit. I chose to book an apartment style hotel room, and it was such a great decision. After weeks of hopping between one-night hotel stays, I really needed a place to settle down, and this spacious, quiet apartment was exactly what I needed. It was clean, roomy, and very comfortable. The service was flawless. The staff were highly responsive over the phone, available day and night. A huge thank you to the team for taking the time to help me ship my packages, that kind of attention really meant a lot to me. Little touches made all the difference: fresh bottles of water were provided every day, and the trash was taken out daily as well. Honestly, everything was just perfect. Just a helpful tip : don't make my mistake! When you arrive, make sure to go to Building A. As you enter the main hall, it's on the left. there's a big sign clearly indicating it. Same goes for when you order on *******: be sure to specify Building A in your delivery address. Otherwise, your order will end up in the building next door (not far, but you'll have to switch elevators). In short, if I ever come back to the area, I will definitely stay here again. For the price it was OK, but the beds were terribly hard, I had to change position several times to ease the pain. Wi-fi not working (signal present, but no internet). Bathroom very small and impractical, after shower everything was wet for hours. Light in the room can be switched on/off only next to entrance door, no switches near beds. Noise from other people and also from planes. People smoke everywhere. But the room was really big, owners fine (but no English) and they offer free airport transfers. So all in all fine, but not perfect.

It was a wise decision to stay in this loft B&B next to the East Railway Station when traveling to Hohhot this time! As a tourist from other places, you can arrive quickly after getting off the train. The transportation is super convenient. The host was as enthusiastic as family. He not only patiently answered our questions, but also shared travel tips and food recommendations for the surrounding area. I was stunned the moment I walked into the room. The design of the Loft is very stylish, and the space layout is reasonable and full of artistic sense. The room is spotless, the facilities are new and complete, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the toiletries are exquisite. Living here is particularly safe and comfortable, and it feels like being at home. I highly recommend it to friends who come to Hohhot. I will choose here again next time!

The hotel is about 4 kilometers away from the highway. The hotel is very convenient for parking and dining. There is a gas station more than 100 meters away from the hotel, so it is a good choice to take a break as a self-driving tour. In addition, hotel services and facilities are also good.
