Sheyi Tea Culture hotel was an amazing stay, definitely a must stay if visiting Hohhot! Food & Drink 🫖 This hotel is also a tea house and it is a tea drinker’s dream! First the room a booked came with my own tea brewing equipment and a tea brewing table with an excellent view and comfortable seats! But that is just the beginning, as you head down to the main floor a fully stocked, beautiful tea house & cafe awaits you. Daily tea and even delicious milk tea is always available. Private table sets and outdoor seating is available too. The tea masters are skilled and attentive, which made all my tea drinking experiences fun and enjoyable! You can also purchase various tea and tea ware right in the tea house. Location 📍 This hotel is perfectly located close to the near by Ancient Street, with many close by temples and shrines to visit. A craft street is close by and available all day, while a famous local food street opens up for colourful night time snacking in the evening. Many close by restaurants offering authentic local cuisine, I recommend reading the hotel’s recommendations as they were always great. If you need even more tea experience, there is a nearby tea wholesale market and many high end tea house in the area as well. The Room 🛌 The room I stayed in had lots of space, was very clean and had everything you could need to feel comfortable. Daily bathroom necessities are provided. High quality bedding, robes and slippers are waiting for you. High end bathroom equipment is installed, with hot water always available. Premium television is set up and Wifi connection always had high speeds. A beautiful kettle and tea set can be used to make tea with daily water and a welcome tea package provided. Staff 👩⚕️ The staff were very king and helpful right from check in. Actually even before check in they were helping bring my luggage inside! They were patient with communication as I was a foreign visitor. They answered any and all questions I had. They recommended great tea and amazing restaurants! The staff were always available and always smiling! Such great people really made my stay a dream. This was probably the nicest hotel I have stayed in and I definitely would recommend it to anyone visiting Hohhot! I will be back again for sure.

On a business trip to Hohhot, I chose this place mainly because of the convenient parking. The large courtyard has plenty of parking spaces, which is super friendly for drivers. The room is equipped with a Hansgrohe shower, providing a comfortable water flow and stable temperature. The smart assistant controls the lights and curtains quite responsively. The soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a restful sleep. The front desk service was attentive; they noticed I was on the phone during check-in and slowed down their speaking pace. The self-service laundry room is a highlight – the washing machines are clean, and you can dry your clothes immediately after washing, which is a lifesaver for managing clothes while traveling. The breakfast offers everything you need, and the milk tea and shao mai are just as good as those found outside.

After looking at many hotels, I finally chose Langlitzi. It's very close to nearby attractions, and you can even walk to Kuan Alley. Some famous restaurants are also in the vicinity. The hotel's front desk staff were excellent. I didn't try the breakfast because there's a whole street of shumai restaurants nearby. I highly recommend this hotel!

I chose this hotel for my 3-night stay in Hohhot. It's located in a bustling area of the old city, directly opposite the Grand Mosque and Kuan Alley food street. The lobby is bright and spacious, and the self-service afternoon tea offers freshly ground coffee, various teas, and snacks, making it a cozy and pleasant experience. The room was comfortable and well-equipped, with a nice view outside the window – I even caught a glimpse of a rainbow, which was a lovely surprise! The front desk staff were attentive and patient, and they resolved issues quickly. The light from the bedside switch panel was too bright at night and disturbed my sleep. The staff offered a temporary solution that worked well, but it was still inconvenient to use the switch.

We stayed for three nights in total, and the overall experience was great. For the first two nights, since the standard rooms were fully booked, we opted for a queen room. On the third day, the hotel upgraded us to a family room, which was much bigger and our child absolutely loved it. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly patient with both check-ins and answering our questions. The cleanliness was impressive; we felt very comfortable staying there. Breakfast was also good, with a variety of vegetables and fruits, plus freshly cooked noodles, so there was plenty of choice. The location is very convenient, with many dining options nearby. Chain restaurants serving shaomai and Mongolian cuisine are just a few minutes' walk away, and it's also very easy to get a taxi to various attractions. Excellent value for money!

The hotel is very nice, clean, and simple, with friendly and attentive staff, which made our stay comfortable overall. However, one key issue significantly impacted our experience. The hotel advertises that it has a gym, which was the primary reason we booked our stay, as we wanted to maintain our fitness routine while away from home and unable to use our usual gym membership. Upon arrival, we discovered that the ”gym” consisted of only two treadmills and no other equipment. This was extremely disappointing, as a gym should provide a variety of fitness equipment to accommodate different workout needs. Advertising a facility as a gym when it is essentially just a room with treadmills feels misleading. If your facility only has treadmills, it would be more accurate to advertise it as such, rather than labeling it a gym. A proper gym typically requires a minimum set of equipment, including: 1. Cardio Machines: At least treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes. 2. Strength Equipment: Free weights (dumbbells, barbells) and resistance machines. 3. Functional Training Tools: Items such as yoga mats, kettlebells, or medicine balls. This would ensure clarity for guests who choose hotels based on their fitness facilities. While we appreciated the cleanliness and service, the lack of transparency regarding the gym was a major letdown.

The room was spotless, and the soundproofing was excellent. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied; the lamb shaomai was particularly authentic, and the lamb offal soup was absolutely delicious – highly recommend both! What truly stood out was the genuine and professional service team. From the warm milk the housekeeping auntie discreetly replenished daily to the help with planning my travel itinerary, every little detail exuded a heartwarming, 'home-like' feeling. Upon check-out, the front desk even gave me a souvenir gift, a thoughtful gesture that instantly melted away any travel fatigue. Xin Cheng Hotel isn't just a place to rest; it's a living cultural museum. It tells stories through its architecture, conveys local charm through its cuisine, and embodies warmth through its service. It allows every guest to experience the vastness and gentleness of Hohhot amidst the hustle and bustle. I will definitely be back again. Highly recommended!

I stayed at the Vienna Hotel during my recent trip to Hohhot, and honestly, it was a bit of a mixed bag. The Good Stuff: The staff here are great—really friendly and helpful, which makes a big difference. The rooms themselves are actually quite nice; they’re spacious, clean, and the building feels relatively modern and well-kept. The neighborhood is very quiet, so I had no issues with noise at night. It’s also super convenient if you need to be near the 2nd Affiliated Hospital. While there isn't much ”action” right outside the door, if you walk about 5 or 10 minutes, there are plenty of small local restaurants where the food is really cheap and decent. The Not-So-Good The location is the biggest hurdle. It’s pretty far from the city center—you’re looking at a 30-minute taxi ride just to get into the heart of town, and there’s almost nothing to do or see in the immediate area. The breakfast was the lowest point for me. It was almost uneatable, to be honest. There’s hardly any variety, and they serve the exact same few things every single day. I’d recommend skipping the hotel food and just hitting those local spots nearby instead. Overall: 7/10 If you have business at the hospital or just want a clean, quiet place to crash and don't mind the commute, it’s a decent choice. But if you’re a tourist wanting to be near the sights or you’re someone who lives for a good hotel breakfast, you’ll probably want to look elsewhere.

The bathroom door was broken and wouldn't close. It was very quiet at night, but in the morning around 7 AM, I could clearly hear the staff communicating over their radios in my room, which was a bit loud. Other than that, everything else was pretty good. It's very close to the station. The upgraded suite, though it was a king room, had nice bedding. They also promptly mailed back something I left behind, which was fantastic!

Hygiene: The room was very clean and bright. Environment: The room was very quiet, and getting around was convenient. There's free parking and an airport shuttle service. Facilities: Quite comprehensive, the room was equipped with various daily necessities. Service: All the staff were very enthusiastic, and even helped with my luggage. They also provided a complimentary breakfast 🍳.
