XiaoshihoulaohaokanleI was very satisfied with my stay. The room was spacious and clean, and the service was warm and attentive. The breakfast spread was also excellent. Since my train was at 2 PM, checking out at 12 PM would have left me too early for the station, so they kindly extended my checkout by an hour. That was really thoughtful! I'll definitely stay at Xingcheng again next time I'm in town!

I really enjoyed the charming courtyard setting; it felt very cozy and comfortable to stay in. We drove all the way from Ulanqab, and as we planned to visit Lvshuiliang the next day, we searched for nearby options and booked this guesthouse. It's a traditional rural-style courtyard, very clean and well-maintained. There weren't many other guests, and the room amenities were quite comprehensive.

The room itself would have been fine if we didn’t see bugs or mini cockroaches in the room and in the laundry room which then made me itchy all night long. There’s also so much construction going on where you have to take an elevator first up to the 3rd floor then switch to another one to get to your own floor. It was so inconvenient. And the elevator hallways were so dark and creepy looking. There’s only one washer and one dryer and the wait took so long to use the machines. I waited until midnight to be able to do my laundry. So inconvenient. I also really dislike the wet shower and they only provide disposable towels which I also absolutely hate and is so unenvironmentally friendly. The breakfast was limited in options and despite them saying it was available until 10, at 9:45 they were already putting everything away. The staff weren’t that friendly upon check in but at check out they were very friendly.

DamaomaomaomaochongThe location is fantastic, very close to all the nearby attractions, and within walking distance. It's right next to 'Shaomai Street' and Jokhang Temple. The front desk staff are all really welcoming and helpful, and the self-service coffee is a nice touch! They even gave our child a breakfast voucher. 😊😊 I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time.

Guest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. It's well-connected by metro, with lines 1 and 2 providing direct access to the train station and airport. The room itself is fantastic; the wooden floors are exceptionally clean, and the bed linen is spotless. The TV is a large 50-plus inch screen. Calling the front desk from the room uses an intercom system, which feels very high-tech. Even the toilet in the bathroom is smart, and the electric curtains add a really nice touch to the design.

David1980The hotel is very nice, clean, and simple, with friendly and attentive staff, which made our stay comfortable overall. However, one key issue significantly impacted our experience. The hotel advertises that it has a gym, which was the primary reason we booked our stay, as we wanted to maintain our fitness routine while away from home and unable to use our usual gym membership.
Upon arrival, we discovered that the ”gym” consisted of only two treadmills and no other equipment. This was extremely disappointing, as a gym should provide a variety of fitness equipment to accommodate different workout needs. Advertising a facility as a gym when it is essentially just a room with treadmills feels misleading.
If your facility only has treadmills, it would be more accurate to advertise it as such, rather than labeling it a gym. A proper gym typically requires a minimum set of equipment, including:
1. Cardio Machines: At least treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes.
2. Strength Equipment: Free weights (dumbbells, barbells) and resistance machines.
3. Functional Training Tools: Items such as yoga mats, kettlebells, or medicine balls.
This would ensure clarity for guests who choose hotels based on their fitness facilities. While we appreciated the cleanliness and service, the lack of transparency regarding the gym was a major letdown.

I stayed at the Vienna Hotel during my recent trip to Hohhot, and honestly, it was a bit of a mixed bag.
The Good Stuff:
The staff here are great—really friendly and helpful, which makes a big difference. The rooms themselves are actually quite nice; they’re spacious, clean, and the building feels relatively modern and well-kept.
The neighborhood is very quiet, so I had no issues with noise at night. It’s also super convenient if you need to be near the 2nd Affiliated Hospital. While there isn't much ”action” right outside the door, if you walk about 5 or 10 minutes, there are plenty of small local restaurants where the food is really cheap and decent.
The Not-So-Good
The location is the biggest hurdle. It’s pretty far from the city center—you’re looking at a 30-minute taxi ride just to get into the heart of town, and there’s almost nothing to do or see in the immediate area.
The breakfast was the lowest point for me. It was almost uneatable, to be honest. There’s hardly any variety, and they serve the exact same few things every single day. I’d recommend skipping the hotel food and just hitting those local spots nearby instead.
Overall: 7/10
If you have business at the hospital or just want a clean, quiet place to crash and don't mind the commute, it’s a decent choice. But if you’re a tourist wanting to be near the sights or you’re someone who lives for a good hotel breakfast, you’ll probably want to look elsewhere.

The hotel is really close to the airport, and what's rare is that they offer a dedicated shuttle service which was very prompt. We didn't have to wait for other guests like you often do in other cities. The room was very clean, and while the breakfast didn't have a huge variety, it covered all the basics.

ShizimgThe room was clean and tidy, with a modern and minimalist decor. The surrounding area has convenient transportation, with both bus and subway stations within walking distance. The front desk staff had an excellent and patient service attitude. I'm a returning guest and highly recommend this place.

The room lady was very friendly and attentive, and gave us 2 yogurts. The location is good! It's only a few minutes' walk to Wanda, very convenient. Five-star praise, I will choose next time
