2-Star Hotels in Kashgar City

Wow! What an amazing place to stay and how lucky we were to find it. By far the best place we stayed in China. Mrs. Li (the owner) was so genuinely nice and caring, and we felt like part of the family staying there. One of my favorite things in Kashgar was hanging out with her and her family in the evenings. She always invited us at night to hangout in the common area where she would make us tea and share her fresh and dried fruits with us. She was really good at using a translator app, so we were able to have a good conversation with her through that. She has a great little family. Her son speaks good English and was also very nice. She had a young daughter who also speaks English, but is more shy with it (though she will sing you a Taylor Swift song..she has a great voice). They have 3 cats and the youngest one, little tiger, is just the sweetest and the friendliest cat I have ever met. It was such a good and warm feeling to stay there. We definitely wish we could visit again. A home away from home. And we were treated so generously in more ways than we can write here. Mrs. Li asked us right away if there was anything she could help us with, without us having to ask, which we really appreciated, and she took the time to sit down with us to go over our plans. She let us store our luggage for 3 days and walked us out to help us get a taxi when we departed. While it was the family that made it simply amazing, some might also be interested in the following information. The location is great. On a quiet street. Close to the big mosque which is a good landmark to use to find the area. And of course close to the old city. It's also really close to the biggest supermarket we have found thus far in China (we have to admit it was nice to get a few ”luxuries” from home like cereal and hot chocolate). The guesthouse is cute and has a Central Asian feel. The shower works great and is hot. We were there in the winter, and the room has heat if you needed it. Mrs. Li was able to arrange a driver for us to go to Tashkorgun and the Karakorum Highway, which was super helpful. The place was nice and clean. Thank you so much Mrs. Li! Very clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Lacked in amenities - no normal towels provided, No couch or table to use for sitting or eating. Only the bed with one pillow per guest was provided for all your needs. Even though I personally had no use for Chinese tv , it did not have one. Even though it is a new building the large space had rather Awkward layout with toilet lack of privacy and door hitting the commode when opening more than halfway. Great, friendly and enthusiastic staff more than make up for the physical shortcomings however. We enjoyed our space. Being a new hotel, I am sure they can use my observations constructively and improve their facilities.

I stayed at this hotel before my flight from Kashgar Terminal 2 to Yiwu. I arrived very late, at around 2:00 AM, but the check-in process was smooth and the staff were welcoming. My original checkout time was 2:00 PM, but the friendly hotel staff kindly extended it to 4:00 PM free of charge so I could get some extra rest after arriving so late. I really appreciated their kindness and understanding. After checking out, I took a taxi to Kashgar Old City. Later, I realised I had excess luggage and my flight only allowed 20 kg. The hotel staff went above and beyond by helping me send my extra luggage to Yiwu, which saved me a lot of stress. The room was very clean, and so was the bathroom. Towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and slippers were all provided. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had one of the best night's sleeps thanks to the soft mattress. The staff were exceptionally helpful and made my stay truly enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Kashgar, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Conveniently located next to Kashgar Railway Station, the bus station, and the famous Id Kah Mosque. The hotel also offers easy access to Kashgar Airport, making it an excellent choice for travellers.

We had a very pleasant stay at Kashgar Perch Ancient Rhyme Folk-House. For a budget-friendly 2-star hotel, it exceeded our expectations. The location is excellent, right in the Old Town, making it very convenient to explore the historic streets on foot. The interior is surprisingly beautiful and elegant, just like the photos. We were genuinely impressed by the quality of the room considering the affordable price. The room was spacious, well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, and the bathroom was clean with complete toiletries provided. Although the air conditioner was not very powerful, the room remained comfortable. The hotel staff could not speak English, but they were very friendly and did their best to help us with everything we needed. Overall, this hotel offers outstanding value for money. If you are looking for an affordable hotel with a beautiful room and an excellent location in Kashgar Old Town, this is a great choice.

The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful, making both check-in and check-out very efficient. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Kashgar Old City, within walking distance, and there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. As for facilities, they have everything you need: a self-service laundry room for washing clothes anytime, and direct drinking hot water available in the lobby. If you're driving, there's free parking which is a huge convenience. The soundproofing in the room was good, ensuring a very peaceful night's sleep. As a Huazhu hotel, the quality is reliable, and the value for money is truly outstanding. I wouldn't hesitate to choose this place again on my next visit to Kashgar and will definitely recommend it to friends planning a trip here!

I wanted some place inside the Old City that accepts foreigners. This one does accept foreigners, for all foreign travellers out there. The homestay I booked was closed unnoticed. I showed up at the place completely getting confused. But after some body languages later I finally found some help on the street to talk to the owner through phone. He came to pick me and took me to another homestay of his sister which is also in the Old City complex. The room was smaller than the one I booked but I agreed to stay anyway. Trip Customer Service contacted later to apologize for the inconvenience amd compensate me with Trip coins which I was fine with. The home owner (Han people) was warm and welcoming so I will leave the unlucky event off my mind. All convos between me and the owner are via translation app since no one speaks English and it is all going well. Helpful people. The first photo was the Jingyi homestay which was closed for the season. The rest of the photos were the other homestay within the Old City complex that I was taken to, not far from Jingyi.

Staying at Gui Lai Inn felt just like coming home. Last night, when I first arrived, I couldn't find the parking lot. The landlady personally came to pick me up and helped me park the car. She then enthusiastically introduced the attractions of the ancient city and gave me details on the city gate opening ceremony for the next day, including the time and location. Today, I was running late to check out, and the landlady kindly extended my check-out time until 2 PM, which really made me feel like family. Friends visiting Kashgar, Gui Lai Inn is definitely your top choice!

Came to Kashgar with friends on motorcycles and stayed at 'Guren Gui' – best decision ever! The landlady is an amazing cook, and you can join in for shared meals. Parking is super easy right outside the courtyard. Plus, there are mulberries and figs you can pick freely. There were also a lot of foreigners here, and chatting with them was really fun. The hostel common area is huge and super comfy on the first floor, not hot at all, and you can even sing and dance together.

The decoration is very novel The boss is very nice. I went to Ta County for two days. I told the boss about my luggage and he helped me store it! I met a sister from Nanning at the youth hostel and she was also very nice! Kashgar I will come again By the way, Ta County is worth a visit! But don’t sign up for a tour group from Central Asia! I didn’t go to many scenic spots, and when I arrived at the scenic spot, I was asked to come back in 5 minutes, come back in 10 minutes, and give me a maximum of 40 minutes of play time (black man’s question mark face). Then the weather was 38 or 9 degrees, and the driver drove with the windows open! (crying face)
