The desert is lonely, but at this luxury hotel on the edge of the Kumtag Desert in Shanshan, that solitude becomes a poetic experience. Golden sand dunes undulate silently, like the breath of the earth. Here, time slows to a crawl, and the world becomes nothing but the desert, the starry sky, and the throbbing of the soul.
The tents, nestled in the desert, look like an ancient caravan camp from afar, but upon closer inspection, the interior reveals a warm and luxurious atmosphere. Soft carpets and understated yet sophisticated lighting create a perfect blend of desolation and comfort. In the evening, we soaked in the hot water in the open-air bath, watching the sunset paint the dunes a rouge hue. In that moment, it felt as if the entire desert whispered to us.
Dinner that evening was a feast we could never have imagined. The lamb short ribs, simmered for 36 hours, are tender yet not mushy. The tendon is crisp, and the aroma of ginger and chili dances on the tongue. The ox knee is soft and flavorful, and the rich tomato sauce is like a love poem from the Western Regions. The spiced aroma of the flatbreads and roast chicken carries the flavors of merchants and travelers from thousands of years ago. I can't help but wonder if in ancient tents, kings, princes, and generals sat together, drinking tea, eating meat, and discussing the country.
After dinner, we drank tea under the stars. The cool desert breeze blew against our faces, but we didn't feel cold. The stars in the sky, distant yet close, seemed like the most gentle gaze on travelers. That night, the desert was no longer empty, but filled with our dreams and romance.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel reception upgraded me from a room with no window to one with a small window. The room was generally new, and the disposable toiletries were of acceptable quality. However, the room smelled of smoke, the hairdryer was a bit dirty, and the ventilation holes were blocked by lint 🙈. Also, it was incredibly noisy at night; a young man was making noise in the hallway until 2 AM, and I was woken up again in the morning by music from a nearby kindergarten. I'm fed up!
The reception staff were friendly, and the cleaning staff were polite. They offered free coffee refills, so overall it was pretty good. However, they need to increase patrols on the lower floors.

SSeanPA68The Baoju hotel is located near the middle of town within a short driving distance to the Kumtag desert facilities. The staff were very friendly. Although they could not speak English, they made every good effort to meet all of our needs. The hotel is located in a strip of small businesses and restaurants. It even is directly attached to a convenience store so you don’t need to leave the building for those small necessities. Our stay was pleasant and restful.

I planned to stay in Turpan for one night and leave the next morning. Because of the high temperature in Turpan, I hope that I can eat, drink and play there at night. It’s best to cool down. I have the impression that the temperature of the grape ditch should be lower than that of Turpan, so I booked another homestay on the road. At that time, I searched for the core scenic spot of the grape ditch on the Internet. Trip.com I first recommended that the homestay. I saw the picture above. It is very beautiful and the evaluation is also very good. Especially in the core scenic spot of Grapegou, I saw that the price of that homestay is the most expensive one in Grapegou Homestay. I think that the price is high and I will definitely enjoy a more convenient environment and quality service. When I arrived at around 9:40 that night, I didn’t know why the weather in the grape ditch was already very dark that day. I saw that there was basically nothing around. I couldn’t see any consumption scenes to eat, drink and play at all, even if its design was distinctive, But he really couldn't meet my needs. So I followed the navigation and continued to walk deep into the Grape Valley Scenic Area. I walked about 3 kilometers and arrived at the Dawaz Customs Park. I saw that there were many homestays opposite it. I walked into this blue oyster at will. I didn’t expect to harvest an unexpected surprise, not only the price is much cheaper, Environmental sanitation facilities and services are unforgettable, with a distinctive yard, you can go out, go to the supermarket restaurant food stall next to it for consumption, and you can also go to the Wazi custom garden to watch the performance, which just meets my needs. I think this should be a representative homestay in the grape ditch. It is good to have safety and health services with ethnic characteristics. I like you!

First impression: wooden pavilion, blue bricks and tiles, antique style
Check-in experience: The little girl at the front desk was warm and thoughtful. I encountered a small problem when checking into the family room. After communicating with the store, she decisively changed the room and upgraded it for free. It was very heart-warming.
My favorite: I like the big terrace on the second floor. It is accompanied by stars at night and shaded by ancient trees during the day. It is so comfortable to drink tea with my family.

GGuest UserThe room was clean. It is breathable, has hot water, and there is a large yard outside. You can also park your car under the greenhouse in the yard, which is clean and cool. The yard is spacious and clean. My son is very happy. He plays with kittens in the yard every day and basks in the sun with his naked butt. He really loves it. When we left, the child was reluctant to leave and said he didn't want to go home. The boss and his wife are warm and generous. There is hot tea and snacks in the yard 24 hours a day. The steamed buns and potato chips made by the boss's wife are amazing. My son eats them three times a day. When I left, the boss's wife gave me a big bag of potato chips and two boxes of black mulberries. I was really moved 😭😭😭 and moved to tears😫😫. The boss and the boss's wife warmly entertain every customer and chat with them 😄😄😄😄😄. You can order dishes at home. The big plate chicken made by the boss's wife is amazing. They raise their own chickens and they are handled very cleanly. Highly recommended. I plan to take my mother there for a few days in June. Thanks to the boss and the lady boss! ! ! !

The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the sink meets hotel standards. The bedding is also very good, and the sleep is very comfortable. The hotel has a washing machine for washing clothes, and the cost performance is very high. I stayed there for a few days while playing in Turpan. The Xinjiang girl at the hotel front desk was warm and polite, and the check-in experience was very good!

RRoszaimyCouldn’t be happier with the stay. Arrived early morning at Turpan rail station and the owner granted early checkin without a fuss. Super convenient given the tiring overnight train journey. Owner was also kind enough to arrange for tour driver for one day sightseeing. The area is awesome! Next door is a local vegetable and fruit shop where things can be purchased super cheaply. Bought a large watermelon (in season) and the owner lent a knife to cut it open. Delicious! The room is great; well appointed, clean, breezy. Only slight issue with the bathroom where the water didn’t drain fast enough so need to shower carefully to prevent overflow into the room. Overall, it was a stay well beyond expectation. The owner was super nice and helpful.
