GGuest UserThe room was very clean. This was my tenth trip to Putuoshan in nine years, but only my third time choosing a guesthouse. The previous two guesthouses were either too far out of the way or incredibly unhygienic, which is why, after having children, we always opted for hotels. I honestly wouldn't have considered another guesthouse this time if not for a friend's recommendation... and I'm so glad we weren't disappointed! My daughter also raved about how warm and welcoming the owner was, saying she wants to come back to this exact place next year. It's pet-friendly – we even brought our dog, and the owner was incredibly accommodating towards them too. When we checked out, the owner even helped us transport our luggage all the way to the ferry terminal. We are so grateful for this wonderful find!

AAnonymous UserI have stayed in the best homestay, the boss is really very, very good, very sentimental.
1. I have been chatting with the boss before I came. I asked this and that. The boss was very enthusiastic to answer. I felt embarrassed to be polite, so I brought Yunnan and Hunan specialties to the boss. People are mutual.
2. The boss’s cooking sentence is good. My friend and I bought the dishes for the boss to make. I dare to say that it is 10 times better than the outside. Hahaha, I sincerely suggest that you try the boss’s craftsmanship. After eating, I have been talking to us about life and ideals. During the chat, we also sent us beer. The money for the processing materials also reduced me by 20 yuan.
3. Because we came here in the off-season, the boss upgraded us to the best room. We can see the sunrise from the room early in the morning, which is great.
4. The breakfast boss gave us free, and hot juice, really special care.
5. (This one was added by my friend) The boss is very easygoing, kind, and always provides constructive advice. I give 5 points because the highest - there are 5 points!

Dining and drinking tea on the first floor, taking a bath, sleeping on the second floor, the price is also affordable, I have been to Putuo Mountain and lived in the best homestay. The boss is a handsome guy, warm and thoughtful, kind and cute! Specially pick us up and help us get the heaviest box, come to Putuo Mountain in the future will come to your home, highly recommended!

GGuest UserWe loved the customer service. Due to gale warning, we arrived a day early. The hotel got a shuttle service to and from Ferry/airport. We arrived late and the weather wasn't the greatest, but the owner were willing to drive us to get food and offer to pickup. After a long day of rushing from one island to another, we much needed a foot massage. Due to the bad weather, the owner was so nice to offer to drive us to a massage parlor and pick us up after. This is some excellent service you don't see often. The hotel doesn't have elevator, but it's not really an issue for us. The rooms were clean and neat. I could see the temple from my room. This place is in a community, but not far from alot of places. It's walking distance to rent a moped, If you could ride a moped, I 100% recommend it. You could use Wechat/Alipay to rent it. We rent it to ride everywhere. It's very safe. I would definitely book with them again and recommend this place to stay if you are planning to visit the island.

KKelkooI stayed there for 3 nights in 2 different rooms - the queen bed garden view (no pictures) and Queen Bed sea view (pictures provided).
This accommodation is located on the east side of the island close to the bridge going to Shengshan Island. I liked it’s location because it allowed me to hike around both islands. However, there’s a bus stop just next to the hostel if you like.
The owners and their 2 dogs are adorable. They also own a small ice cream shop in the center which I recommend.
The view from then restaurant area is just perfect. They serve good food - mix of local seafood dishes and non-seafood. There’s also a small beach area just in front with no entry fee.
Overall I would highly recommend this place for the view, location and price. My only negative point is that the sea view room is located above their kitchen. The room gets the kitchen smells anytime they cook. If that does not bother you, this room has a very nice view. I personally would pick the garden view which is located separately from the main house if I would book again.

GGuest UserStayed there for two nights between 23-25 Dec with two friends. The family room has two double beds and a private bathroom, and is spacious enough for three of us. We were very happy with our stay and will recommend it.
- The room was immaculate, beds were comfortable, and the shower worked perfectly. Can't fault it
- Location - The B&B is in a residential complex off Mei Qin Road, about 10 mins walk from the wharf and Puji Temple. 2 mins from the bus stop. Very convenient
- The host Xiao Xiong was intentative and very helpful. It was our first time to Putuo Island, she gave us great advice about how to get around and which temples to visit
If I were to nitpick, the sound proof was poor. However, the B&B is in the middle of the complex and Dec is off season, the noise was tolerable.

MMaria13579One of our best stays in China! This place was absolutely amazing. The ladies running it are hilarious and always made us laugh.
First of all - the rooms are really good for the price. We got upgraded to a much better room after our first night, free of charge. It’s also conveniently located next to grocery shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach, while still being a little out of the way from the hustle and bustle.
The food here is really good too - the (included) breakfast as well as what you can buy for lunch/dinner is really fresh. Because of the language barrier they tried to accommodate by providing more “western style” breakfasts for us, but when we realized and asked about it they made us a second breakfast that was like the one everyone else got.
They also helped us out with a driver to take us to the abandoned village, and booked our tickets back to Shanghai.
Also, the aircon here is FAST and reliable which we’ve realized isn’t a given after a few weeks in China. So that’s another (small yet important) plus for sure!
Usually I like to explore different places and stay at different accommodations if/when I revisit places, but I’d probably make an exception and stay here again if I ever come back to visit the island!

AAnonymous UserThe room is spacious and clean. The three of us lived very comfortably. And we can see the sea view as soon as we enter the room. The sea view room is really invincible! The seafood at the seaside is really fresh! It's delicious.

MM263087****It's a long time away from the pier. Suzhai is near the door. It takes 15 minutes to Puji Temple. There are buses from Puji Temple station to any temple and scenic spot. After packing your luggage, you can check it and store it at the pier. It's really convenient.
