MM16736****The location of the B&B is very convenient. You can take the 302 tourist line from Shenjiawan Passenger Terminal for 10 yuan per person and get off at Gaochangwan Bus Station. The B&B is under the bus stop. It is also very convenient to transfer to other buses. I came on June 12. The location of this B&B is about 7 minutes' walk from Gaochangwan Bathing Beach (Tianyuewan Resort). The original ticket was 50 yuan. Because I live in this village, the owner of the B&B gave me a ticket. It only costs 30 yuan to enter the beach, and I can also get a wristband. I can enter and exit the beach at will within one day. The limit is one day. I think that except for living in Gaochangwan, other B&Bs must not have this treatment. This beach should belong to this village. This beach is very large and long, with fine sand. You can take a bath when it is hot. It is a sister beach with Jihu Beach behind the B&B mountain, separated by a mountain. The B&B is very new. The owner said that it will be repaired every year to keep it brand new. The decoration style is all related to the sea, very warm and comfortable, the accommodation conditions are impeccable, and the owner's house design has a large terrace on the 4th floor, where you can cool off, drink tea and watch the scenery. In one of the rooms, you can see the sea and the beach by opening the curtains, which is very comfortable. I looked at the B&Bs around, and there are very few with such a large terrace. During the period, I also went to the Donghai Fishing Village mentioned by my friend. There are more people there, but it looks very messy, and the design of the B&B is not very good. The Donghai Fishing Village is lively, and there are many food stalls. If you want to be quiet, Gaochang Bay is really quiet. Also, it is recommended to let the B&B owner cook seafood if you want to eat it, which is affordable. The 700 yuan we ate outside was not as much as the 500 yuan the boss cooked, and it was a bit of a rip-off outside. The boss was very kind and talked to each other. The yard of the B&B and the roof are full of succulents, which are very beautiful. The only regret is that the weather was not good when I came, it was gloomy, foggy and rainy, the sea water was not blue, and there was haze, which was the biggest disappointment. Everything else was very satisfactory.

Dining and drinking tea on the first floor, taking a bath, sleeping on the second floor, the price is also affordable, I have been to Putuo Mountain and lived in the best homestay. GGuest UserStayed there for two nights between 23-25 Dec with two friends. The family room has two double beds and a private bathroom, and is spacious enough for three of us. We were very happy with our stay and will recommend it.
- The room was immaculate, beds were comfortable, and the shower worked perfectly. Can't fault it
- Location - The B&B is in a residential complex off Mei Qin Road, about 10 mins walk from the wharf and Puji Temple. 2 mins from the bus stop. Very convenient
- The host Xiao Xiong was intentative and very helpful. It was our first time to Putuo Island, she gave us great advice about how to get around and which temples to visit
If I were to nitpick, the sound proof was poor. However, the B&B is in the middle of the complex and Dec is off season, the noise was tolerable.

MM768449****The host picked us up at the pier and helped deliver our luggage to the room. The entrance to the community is very busy, with many guests staying at the B&B. There are also many shops nearby for shopping and dining. The room is exactly as shown in the photos, very clean, with toiletries and a mahjong machine. Overall, it's pretty good.

MMaria13579One of our best stays in China! This place was absolutely amazing. The ladies running it are hilarious and always made us laugh.
First of all - the rooms are really good for the price. We got upgraded to a much better room after our first night, free of charge. It’s also conveniently located next to grocery shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach, while still being a little out of the way from the hustle and bustle.
The food here is really good too - the (included) breakfast as well as what you can buy for lunch/dinner is really fresh. Because of the language barrier they tried to accommodate by providing more “western style” breakfasts for us, but when we realized and asked about it they made us a second breakfast that was like the one everyone else got.
They also helped us out with a driver to take us to the abandoned village, and booked our tickets back to Shanghai.
Also, the aircon here is FAST and reliable which we’ve realized isn’t a given after a few weeks in China. So that’s another (small yet important) plus for sure!
Usually I like to explore different places and stay at different accommodations if/when I revisit places, but I’d probably make an exception and stay here again if I ever come back to visit the island!

GGuest UserIt was my first time staying on the island, and I started my two-day and one-night trip. I arrived at noon on the first day and found the homestay according to the navigation. I was actually quite nervous along the way. Looking at the old residential area, I was worried that I would not be comfortable staying there. After arriving at the boss's shop, I felt suddenly enlightened. The small courtyard was decorated very exquisitely, and the room was also very, very good and comfortably designed. After putting down the luggage, I started to run away. When I returned to the B&B in the evening, I had already walked more than 20,000 steps and was extremely tired. The moment I turned on the hot water was so healing, the water pressure and temperature were just enough. I don't like B&Bs because I'm afraid that taking a shower and sleeping will be uncomfortable, but the owner did a very good job. It can be seen that both the mattress and the pillow were carefully designed, and I had a good sleep. When you leave the next day, hand your luggage to the boss, who will then put a list on it and send it to the baggage steward for storage. This saved us the trouble of returning to pick up our luggage. That's very thoughtful. I wish the boss's business will get better and better.

MM263087****It's a long time away from the pier. Suzhai is near the door. It takes 15 minutes to Puji Temple. There are buses from Puji Temple station to any temple and scenic spot. After packing your luggage, you can check it and store it at the pier. It's really convenient.

GGuest UserThe hotel environment is good and the sanitation is very clean. I would like to mention that the service of the front desk staff is really good. They are enthusiastic to introduce the surrounding attractions and travel guides. The location of the hotel is also good. The whole hotel is next to the sea. You can go to the beach in a few minutes. It is only a dozen minutes' drive from Putuo Mountain. It will be the first choice next time you come.
