Amazing
WWanLing1005I had a wonderful stay at Pension Setsurin! The tatami room was an amazing and authentic experience, making my trip truly special. The host was incredibly kind and thoughtful, even asking about food sensitivities to accommodate my breakfast, which I really appreciated.
The breakfast is definitely worth trying—it’s rich, diverse, and full of traditional Japanese flavors. There’s even anime playing during breakfast, which adds a fun cultural touch to the experience.
All toiletries were fully provided, so I didn’t need to bring anything extra. I stayed on the second floor, so just keep in mind you’ll need to carry your luggage upstairs.
A special thank you to the host for going the extra mile—when I checked out, they even helped clear the snow off my car, which was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. I highly recommend Pension Setsurin for anyone looking for a warm and authentic stay!
AAik Koon WeeChecked in on their official opening day and was treated with some surprises. Overall the hotel was great. Uses self check-in which for foreigners, actually still need some helps. Room is spacious, and amenities are good. multiple AC outlets and USB C charging ports available in the room. Something that is hard to get in most hotels, and its great when you have 2 persons in the room needing to charge all their digital gadgets.
only gripe is toilet partition is wood and when some one poops at night and draws the toilet paper, it makes a booming thunderous noise that can be heard outside the room and wakes up light sleepers 😜
Breakfast is great though a bit pricey. But the settings in dining is comfortable with Japanese books to browse.
AAnonymous UserI stayed at this hotel for three nights, starting on September 1st, because it was the closest to the Kanamoto Hall for a concert. I took the limousine bus from the airport and was dropped off on a main street, but I couldn't find the building the hotel was in and had a lot of trouble finding it.
The front desk staff were very polite and provided a map, which was helpful. My room was on the top floor (7th floor), but there was no view. When I opened the window, I could see the window of the building across the street.
I was a little worried, so I kept the curtains closed, which was a bit disappointing. The twin bed was comfortable, and the lighting and bathroom were both good. However, there was a pen, but no notepad, which was inconvenient. I only went to the large public bath on the 4th floor once, but the water was so hot that it was difficult to soak in.
It was a bit of a walk to JR Sapporo Station, which I didn't expect, and I was a bit worried.
I was glad I made it in time for my train.
GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located near the station, the interior feels new and modern, and the female staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I had a wonderfully comfortable stay. My room was spacious, and everything I needed was thoughtfully provided, leaving me completely satisfied. This has certainly become one of my top hotels, and I would love to stay here again. Thank you for a great experience.
满满满风The location is very good. From Exit 2 of Jushui Station, go through the supermarket and walk for a while. The opposite is the whole family. Actually, if you do n’t go to the whole family, there are many things to eat in that supermarket. Good environment, free luggage storage, next time I will go back to Sapporo.
GGuest UserThe location was great, only a 5-minute walk from Maruyama-koen Station. The room felt nice and was very clean. It had a kitchen with a large refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker, and electric stove. There were also two sinks, which was perfect for the four of us. Wi-Fi was available, and there's a supermarket nearby.
However, upon arrival, there was a sign for the front desk on the 3rd floor, and when I got into the elevator, it wouldn't move without a 3-digit code. I didn't know about this, and I'm not sure if I was informed of it beforehand. It caused some hassle during check-in, which is self-service. I eventually had to call to complete the check-in process.
GGuest UserLocated at the end of the Jozankei route from Sapporo. For someone like me who travels this area for work, this is a great value and affordable option. It has all the basic amenities and is better than a capsule hotel. Free parking. There's a first-floor cafe. Shared showers, restrooms, and refrigerators. ^^
GGuest UserI had a great time staying here alone. There are restaurants downstairs, making it easy to find food. The bed was comfortable and all the amenities were provided. I loved it.
Normally, when I stay at other hostels, they don't provide towels or other amenities, but this place had everything. The location is great; it's just a short walk from Sapporo train station. I'll definitely stay here again next time. I loved it!
GGuest UserMagazines on the wall describe the owner as a member of the Antarctic Expedition, who visited Antarctica 53 times. After retiring, he opened this small hotel, hoping to attract more mountaineering enthusiasts to gather and chat about their experiences. The hotel's reception is connected to the bar, and every night, there's a crowd of people drinking, some of them mountaineering enthusiasts. There's also a wide selection of dishes. I took a photo of the first floor of the hotel to share. The room I stayed in was quite interesting, located in another building, so it didn't interfere with my rest. My room was small (I don't know if there are larger rooms, but I think there are some shared rooms, like youth hostel-style bunk beds). There were only two beds, nothing special, but the sheets and towels were spotlessly white and spotlessly clean. There's also a shared kitchen on the first floor near the bar, equipped with a microwave, hot water, and a washing machine. Staying in the hotel and traveling during the day is a good option. A short walk down the street leads to a crossroads filled with restaurants. What's even more interesting is that the waiters are all foreigners. I saw four or five of them, representing at least three nationalities. Two were young beauties, and two were handsome foreigners.

Good
XXinshoucundehabibiThe hotel's location is excellent, right next to a subway station 🚉, and there's a Lawson convenience store downstairs. For dining, you can walk all the way to Susukino. Nakajima Park, which is beautiful in winter, is also nearby.
However, the room had a strange smell. When I reported it, they wouldn't let me check out, so I was stuck with the smell for two days. Ctrip's mediation service was very helpful, but the hotel's response was just unbelievable.
