AacidpopsFree Airport Shuttle (T1 & T3): Surprisingly on time and easy to find. Just ask the hotel for their time schedule. My only issue is that during my return flight, the bus driver dropped me off at the arrival area and I got lost in the airport 😅
Check-in: It was a breeze.
Hotel scent: It smells good but it is not comfortable on the nose (compared to Okada and Shangri-la scent).
Location: Near the airport and walking distance to the metro, Deira mall (sometimes open till 1am), restaurants, and other shops
Amenities: pool + gym + conference room + laundry room + work area + play area + locker room with weighing scale + vending machine + convenience store
Toiletries: No free slippers + toothbrush + toothpaste but they have body wash + shampoo/conditioner + hand soap
Internet: It was fast but the FB video call keeps on dropping. Dunno why.
Breakfast: good selection but you'll easily get tired of it if you are staying in the hotel for a long time. They also provide TWG tea.
Dinner: Their baked salmon and chicken butter are really good.
Tours / Forex: The hotel offers paid tours and currency exchange.
Hospitality: All of the staff are nice and friendly.
Free Bus: There is a free bus to Dubai Mall, beach, etc. Just ask the hotel for the schedule
Note: Rove Hotel has various locations in Dubai. If you want free airport shuttle + easy accessibility, choose the Deira City location. If you want the beach, choose the La Mer Beach location. If you want IG worthy views, choose the Downtown location.
Taxi/Careem: If you'll take a taxi or Careem from the hotel to the Marina/Downtown/ Helicopter area (vice versa), you'll spend ＞=$30 per trip 😅 But Dubai is really expensive in general.
Prepaid: Unlike in other hotels where you can pay during your arrival, you have to pre-pay your booking on Trip. Moreover, I was charged more than the amount because of the Mastercard surcharge issue coz Trip does not have a bank account in my country.

EEva G.I recently stayed at Rove Expo Dubai with my friend Hannah, and we were both really happy with the experience. One thing that truly stood out was the hospitality of Kalyan from housekeeping – his attention to detail, professionalism, and warm attitude felt more like 5-star service, not what you'd usually expect from a 3-star hotel. He made sure our room was always in perfect shape, and his presence genuinely elevated the stay.
We were also glad that it was quiet throughout, which made it easy to rest and unwind – a big plus considering how busy the hotel was due to the holiday crowd. Despite that, the vibe at Rove Expo remains as cool and relaxed as ever.
Another pleasant surprise: the bed was way more comfortable this time! On my first visit, it was too hard and made it difficult to sleep, but this time around, it was noticeably better and much more restful.
All in all, Rove Expo continues to offer great value, a fun atmosphere, and standout service from people like Kalyan. Definitely worth coming back.

ЕЕлена ЛипкинаWe were happy to return to this hotel after 20 years. And how nice it was to note that if there are changes, they are only positive. The room had a kitchen. There is a supermarket on the ground floor of the hotel complex. And also many cafes and McDonald's. There is a metro station and a bus stop next to the hotel. At the reception, the pleasant hotel staff quickly resolve any of your questions. I will note that the staff also communicated with each other in a friendly manner and with a smile. You rarely see this in other hotels and it is pleasant to watch. We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. We recommend the hotel.

AAyaThe place was clean and beautiful, but I wasn't pleased with the hotel's service. They repeatedly called us, bothering us three times from the front desk, just to remind us that we needed to check out before 12:30. However, the hotel's location is good, and the place itself is clean.

The rooms are clean, quiet, and well designed, with good soundproofing and reliable Wi-Fi. Staff are friendly, professional, and always helpful with directions or transport advice. A major highlight is the excellent location, just near Gold Souq Metro Station on the Green Line, making it easy to explore the city. Overall, Mercure Dubai Deira provides great value, convenience and service for both business and leisure travelers.

To the beach 20 min walking , but every day there is a transfer from the hotel at 10 a.m. and back to 12.30. This time is enough to not burn.
The beach itself is not with the most transparent water. But it is cool. They went to Kite - there are Arab Maldives (water is transparent). Recommended. Take a taxi to go there and back 90 dirham.
About the hotel. Don't wait for the hotel and rooms. It's a very budget hotel, but everything is available for convenience. Everything is compensated for convenient location. If you take breakfast, you can have lunch next to the cafe of the same name (optional cheap).
The West zone supermarket is also cheap.
Breakfasts as already wrote not wow at all, but you will not be hungry.
We knew where we were going. Thank you to the nice staff of the hotel for meeting my request.
There are also two girls in the hotel who speak Russian and all will tell you and give tours or arrange a transfer to the old city.
We are happy with the rest as more visited beautiful places and came to the hotel in the evening.

GGuest UserAs a woman, you'd expect to get help from the staff you’ve paid to stay with. I arrived at the hotel around 2 am and was told I’d made a booking mistake because of the time zone difference—my check-in was actually at 2 pm the next day. That left me with nowhere to go or sleep that night. In a situation like that, you’d hope for some cooperation and support, not rude and nasty behaviour from the front desk. I offered to pay for the night since I had nowhere else to go, but I was told that all 26 floors and hundreds of rooms were full—that’s understandable, but still frustrating. While sitting in the lobby trying to find another hotel (which took me two hours), I saw six couples being offered rooms for a few hours. It became clear this place is more for quick, casual stays rather than for families or individuals looking for a safe place. When I complained, I was offered a room, and I said I could pay in USD or by Visa. But then I was told I could only pay in cash and in Dirhams, no cards or USD, which seemed dodgy and like they’re running shady after-hours business. I was also told I could leave the lobby and keep searching outside, which was pretty upsetting. It was a terrible and scary experience for a woman in the middle of the night. I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel.
