"Service was very poor — staff didn’t respond properly, room service was slow, and the washroom had water issues with only extremely hot water at times. The rooms are also quite small, and there are no malls nearby. Early mornings were uncomfortable because of strong cleaning spray smells in the corridors.
On the positive side, the hotel is opposite Future Musam Market, close to Central One building, and just a short walk to the metro"

"I was worried about the bad comments after making the quick reservation. The price was not the best but being close to metro station was my reason of choice. The welcoming was really nice even I do not understand the hindulish. The room was quite but you will hear planes landing all the time if you are on 6th floor. The kettl and irone did not work but it was late to ask for a new one to drink tea or ironing. The hair drier was hidden under the table , the room was freezing cold even I turned off the AC. The room was moderate in clean but the room needs restoration which is very low than Ramada standarts. I am happy with staying here but it deserves more interest."

"It was a memorable stay indeed. The breakfast fast buffet was excellent and so do all the staff. Smooth check-in and check out. Room was clean and especially the Galleria mall attached with the hotel has a supermarket where all the groceries can be found. Location is also good and is in the heart of dubai."

"We had a good time mat Gevora… we can literally spend days inside the hotel because it has a lot of activities inside. The food from the M restaurant wasn’t not nice. The elevator crowded so it takes time. The pool was great SHUVO was at great service and he’s a very nice person, making sure we are ok, and he could go help me with the sauna and steam. A time was had. I highly recommend it’s a very convenient place for most of the things in the downtown and close to Burj Khalifa"

"This hostel is a fantastic place to stay in Dubai for a real traveler! Summer, the owner, is a real cool guy who keeps his place in great condition and comfort. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms immaculate and the atmosphere very chilled. Outside of the hostel are hundreds of shops, places to eat and markets. Wifi is excellent, rooms are air-conditioned and there is even a clothes washer in the room. A full sized refrigerator and small kitchen in the room is very welcome.
Just a 10 minute walk from the Gold Souk metro station.
I really enjoyed my stay here and won't hesitate to come here when I am back in Dubai."

"The service was excellent and very welcoming. They allowed us to check in early, upgraded our room for free, and readily agreed to a late checkout when we asked. There's a supermarket nearby, which was really convenient for buying fruit, drinks, and so on. The subway station is less than a ten-minute walk away, and the hotel can also arrange a taxi, which is much cheaper than Uber."

GGuest UserMy husband and I had our first holiday as a family of three with our 7 month old baby at Voco Dubai The Palm Hotel. We chose this hotel as it had a private beach (we didn’t want to spend time travelling to a beach each day), was located away from the chaos of Dubai, offered a king size bed (I cosleep with my baby), and there was an option for including breakfast (again did not want to spend time searching for or travelling to a breakfast location with a baby). Compared to other surrounding hotels, it is a relatively small and new hotel. However, this only enhanced our positive experience as it added a more personal touch. The valets (sorry I didn’t catch their names!) took our car down to the car park while other members of staff took our luggage to our room. Diana at the front desk was the first team member we met inside and made us feel very welcome. Our room was very spacious and clean. Thank you to Arun Gawam from Housekeeping! We enjoyed our coffee pods and Biscoff biscuits provided after each thorough clean. Some reviews mentioned noise but we only heard some drilling upstairs during the day and some music outside on Friday and Saturday night. Neither of these bothered us or our baby. The breakfast buffet was amazing and had plenty of choice with some of the options changing on each day so we had some variety. The welcoming, dynamic staff knew our tea and coffee orders from day one and always greeted us with smiles. We were asked daily if we wanted our eggs cooked in a certain way. This was great because our baby is just getting started on solids. Our baby girl loved seeing all the hardworking, smiley members of staff waving at her every morning. I would particularly like to thank Rojean, Rashmi and Aldrin as well as Fasha, Shiela, Juliet, Dioseth, Anu, Marion, Fhaizan, Amin, Chef Prabin, Chef James, Chef Anyu, Ariz, Sun and Puja. The private beach was a highlight of our holiday. We loved the easy and quick access to the beach with bottles of water and beach towels provided upon arrival. The cabanas were great for privacy as I had to breastfeed my baby on the beach. The WiFi was hit and miss on the beach but I guess that helped us relax more. Thank you to Bidan, Chamodi and Roni for taking care of us there! The only downside for me was the lack of power socket to plug the hairdryer in the bathroom or next to the mirror in front of the bathroom or by the mirror in front of the desk. We had to plug the hairdryer in the socket by the bed and therefore had to dry our hair on the bed, which wasn’t a major issue, just an inconvenience and a little loud right next to our baby. Overall, it was a great holiday experience thanks to each and every member of staff!

GGuest UserA fantastic hotel in a good location - easy to get around Dubai from here either by taxi, car or the metro is only a few steps away. The hotel is beautifully designed from the lobby to the top floor pool and bar. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and with all the facilities you would expect. The beds were super comfy and the pillows and linen were great quality resulting in a fab nights sleep. The rooms are also soundproof so no noisy neighbours! The restaurant has a huge selection on offer for breakfast - great quality too. The roof top pool and bar was an awesome place to relax and have a drink, day or night.
The service from reception, concierge to the roof top bar was outstanding. Overall ,a fantastic holiday and a great place to stay - thank you.

UUlziibayarI have booked for king bed room. Unfortunately when I came for check in my room was with connection door inside with other room. Then I request to change the room. But receptionist informed me that no king size room available and he recommend me twin room, which I did not expect.
This was useless for me to book the room in advance.

二二里路I’ve visited Dubai many times, but this trip was extra special because I went with my niece, and it was her first time visiting the city. I wanted to find something unique for her, so after some research, I decided to stay at this themed hotel converted from a cruise ship.
It turned out to be a truly amazing experience — it felt like living on a real ship! I actually learned a lot about what life is like aboard a large cruise, and it was both fun and fascinating. If anyone is looking for a unique themed hotel experience in Dubai, I would definitely recommend this one.
That said, the location of the hotel isn’t very convenient. It’s quite far from the city center, and taxis aren’t always readily available unless you book through an app or have your own car.
Another thing I noticed was that some of the front desk staff could be more polite. One evening, when we returned to the hotel, a lady at the entrance stopped us and insisted on checking our documents before allowing us to enter. I understand security is important, but as hotel guests, this approach felt a bit unfriendly. Even if someone isn’t staying at the hotel, I believe staff should still treat all visitors with kindness and professionalism — after all, a friendly interaction can easily turn a visitor into a future guest.
Other than that, our overall experience was good, *************. The hotel’s design and theme were impressive, and it was definitely a memorable stay for both of us.

HHaitham AlqamI had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and professional. The check-in process was smooth, and I was impressed by the cleanliness and modern design of the lobby.
The room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with everything I needed — comfortable bed, strong Wi-Fi, and a beautiful view. Housekeeping maintained the room perfectly every day.
One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet — a wide variety of fresh options, both local and international, served in a relaxing and stylish atmosphere.
The location was also ideal, with easy access to nearby attractions and transportation. I especially appreciated the quiet environment, which made for a restful night’s sleep.

EEva G.After a disappointing stay earlier this week at another 4-star hotel in Tecom, I decided to try Novotel Al Barsha for the weekend, mainly because Swiss Butter Steakhouse is inside the hotel. My friend Hannah and I checked in with a mix of curiosity and hope for a better experience.
The hotel does seem busy, which contradicts what some other guests have said. To their credit, we were given our room right away at check-in. I had booked a Superior Twin Room and specifically requested a higher floor for a better view. I also accepted a smoking room, understanding the compromise, but the overwhelming smell of smoke in the hallway left me wondering: shouldn’t a 4-star hotel manage this better?
Upon entrance, to our surprise, we found a joined single bed instead of twins. We called reception, hoping to move rooms, but they offered to just separate the beds. Regret hit when we saw how small the single beds were! Honestly, if you’re tall or on the bigger side, this setup will not be comfortable—especially if you’re staying with friends or family. To add, the bed’s mattress clearly needed flipping, as there was an obvious slope that made it uncomfortable to sleep on.
Adding to the unfortunate, despite being on the 25th floor, there was no view to speak of—something we were really looking forward to. It felt like a missed opportunity, especially given the hotel’s location and our specific request for a high floor.
The bathroom was another letdown. The tissue holder was almost broken, the materials inside looked cheap, and the toilet bowl was not properly cleaned, with visible brown markings—pretty gross for a 4-star hotel. Thankfully, the bathtub was at least clean, so that was something.
On the bright side, the highlight of this hotel is definitely their spa and pool. We were given discount vouchers for Soul and Senses Spa, and my masseuse, Shatria, did a great job. The pool is a decent size and clean, while the sauna and steam room were perfect. The health club overall is the ace of this place.
For breakfast, I agree with other reviews—it’s decent. The restaurant was packed in the morning, but the vibe was good. However, they don’t escort guests to tables; you just find a seat yourself, which is fine but felt a bit unpolished.
One odd thing I noticed: while housekeeping did try their best to fulfill our requests—like providing coffee capsules and water—there was no creamer for the coffee and tea. Even 3-star hotels provide that, so it was a first for me (maybe it was just the standard).
Despite these minimal disappointments, I still try to see the positive side of this hotel and did my best to take decent photos that you may see for reference.
Overall, it seems like this hotel mainly caters to group tourists, which makes me wonder if they’re sacrificing quality for quantity. I hope they work on improving their services, including room quality, views, and attention to detail, so they can leave a better impression of Dubai for future guests.
